I'm glad this episode was more of a serious one with a focus on Darkness and the overbearing fiance they've all been throwing around earlier in the series. Looking forward to what they do in response to Kazuma running away with Darkness.

Just when all hope seemed loss, Vanir arrived with perfect timing and tons of cash! While Kazuma may be losing all of his ideas. Darkness is well worth that price.

Well I didn’t expect all of that.

I thought Kazuma was really insistent on making Darkness swallow her pride and ask for help, but it’s all been because he hasn’t thought of any way to get through this. However, due to his business sense and the fact that this world isn’t familiar with the technologies of Earth, he’s able to maximize his profits and help pay off Darkness’s debt and hopefully get some evidence on the wrongdoings of this noble.

Now things have kicked off and there’s gonna be a major conflict. The mood of this series has taken a more dramatic tone so we’ll see what happens…

The Dustiness family are a generous group of nobles losing their fortune to help the common folk.

Classic Vanir already knew everything ahead of time. I love this demon.

I love Aqua's mocking speech and people's stunned reactions to it.

Ugh... when did KonoSuba become so boring? That's the second episode in a row in which I was looking at the time to see when it'll be over. What happened?

Man what a great episode, the series doesn't always do a lot of serious episodes but when they do, they really don't miss the mark with them. I don't blame Kazuma, there were almost no win conditions against the situation that didn't involve immediately breaking a law and throwing everything they've earned over the past 3 season away, makes sense his last resort is a quite literal deal with the gigachad devil Vanir, just hope he didn't ask for too much.

It's cool seeing Kazuma bring more simple modern day house hold product to the current world to make cash, the bubble wrap idea and other simple products were pretty good simple creations that would benefit almost everyone.

Aqua is truly the root of all problems in the Konosuba World. Vanir had just explained that Aqua was the one to blame for Darkness' debt

Feel bad for Darkness with everything she's had to put up with, luckily she isn't alone and has Kazuma and the gang coming to the rescue!
Whilst its a positive moment, I'm curious to see how well this plan will go, you never know with Kazuma.

All screen focus on Darkness and this seems interesting. How come Aqua in other form is something cute. Remind me to ending season 1 when focused on Darkness ending, and seems repeated in this season. Yeaa, all the problem came from Kazuma party but Darkness want took it all alone. This time Kazuma seems in different mood and really serious. Aqua and Vanir moment as always funny. Kinda boring this time, but from what i read on LN this plot is really serious event.

If I had a penny for every male main characters who got isekai-ed to another world with a tracksuit and eventually ended up having to save a close female acquaintance from a somewhat-forced marriage. I would have 2 which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice. Weirder still is that Konosuba and that particular isekai story is in the most polar opposite imaginable. IYKYK

It would've been cooler had Kazuma made a grand entrance, like a supervillain would. Maybe by sending the entrance door flying towards Alderp like in that other isekai. Still, his plan was as flawless as it could be considering he is only in it with Aqua and who knows where Megumin is.

In any case, Mr. MC le-chad Kazuma is here to steal your bride, fatass!

It looks the wedding between Darkness and Alderp is going ahead and there’s now a date for it. But Kazuma is very insistent that he doesn’t want to do anything about Darkness but it doesn’t Megunim or Aqua from trying to get her back anyway with very little success. Now Kazuma isn’t doing this to be petty but rather he’s trying to be rational about the current situation that Darkness and her family were currently in at the time and was more or less fed up that Alderp could just flaunt his wealth not care wether or not Darkness was a human being as well as his crimes in Debauchery that because of his status as a noble can easily sway people to his side not to mention that Kazuma has no noble status at all. I really like when he’s explained himself about the situation and why he’s doing this to begin with, Megunim then understands him better, feeling a sense of common ground for wanting to help him as well and then Vanir comes into the mansion and becomes an unexpected ally in all this. Which gives a deeper meaning overall to me.

Now it’s a good thing that the group destroyed the Mobile Fortress Destroyer in the past, unfortunately because there was a flood that occurred after the battle, it meant whole lands and homes were destroyed, crops and produce ruined along with the villagers as well as Darkness’ family to be in debt afterwards which led to Alderp basically taking advantage of their suffering and pulling a Prince John on their asses, by making them pay an outrageous sum of money in order to survive. And much to Kazuma’s group’s frustration, they only paid a PART of the debt that was owed.

The last part of the episode with Kazuma and Aqua themselves disguised as priests and just Aqua insulting Alderp to his face when he’s at the altar with Darkness is priceless to watch. XD I gotta hand it to Kazuma though, when he puts his mind to hijinking something, he comes out good. Otherwise great penultimate episode I will say there.

They did this extremely good! Near the end I actually god sad thinking Kazuma wouldn't crash the wedding.. It's moments like these that make you remember that these adventurers aren't just a bunch of fools going around doing quests together, but close friends.

Why did the butler visited them when Aqua received him, maybe it was important. What Vanir said was important, maybe Kazuma is crucial for Darkness’ story. So good to see him trying to help.

The revelation (retcon?) that the Dusty family paid for like 90% of the damage Kazuma's party did this entire time kind of wipes away the reason for the annoying nobleman to claim the need to take all of the party's stuff to settle the Court debt, let alone put them in debt through the Court case at all. Wtf was the point of all that entirely? It's all BS. The party is completely justified in taking Darkness away from him.

If Eris/Chris stole the "proof" of the nobleman's evil deeds, the demon-summoning cheat-code relic, and she's somewhat clairvoyant about everything going on, why not offer it up as proof? Why sit on the sidelines? That better play a role in the final ep or there are just too many logical loopholes to take this plot seriously. Konosuba worked way better as a nonsensical comedy that pointed out the irony of the usual isekai blueprint.

The plot feels contrived. The author clearly wasn't thinking that many books ahead when the Destroyer was, well, destroyed. But this is some strong character writing. It's clear that the main cast all love each other. Darkness in particular showcases her strong sense of duty & nobility. She isn't just a pervert. Good character.
