I feel like I'm going crazy but where did the Dragon Emperor shard come from? Everything online says it came from Glass's world but I do not remember any dragon fight while they were in the other world.

@MasterHavik The fight with the turtle on the LN is amazing, it has a rather big scale, you feel it is an immense task, they cut tons of scenes of that for S2. There is one where Naofumi has to defend against the Turtle's beam attack and you feel the grim nature of it all, so that is something I wanted to see on S2, but they butchered it so much... not to say the writing in the LN is amazing, but it has its moments.

Besides, while reading the LN, what sells you the most is feeling like you are into RPG, at least with Naofumi's choices, the stuff he acquires, the monologues of what he acquired, etc. That is over time what I liked the most of the LN, since the best volume in terms of impact is the first one.

So while there a lot of slower-paced, more boring scenes, like Naofumi focusing on his territory and developing his "slaves", it is a mostly pleasant read due to the addictive nature it can get, when you go deep into the RPG aspects the series has, that you can see with the LN.
When I say RPG I don't mean about choices, but rather the MC getting new skills and weapons, etc.

There are a few isekais that are way better than Tate no Yuusha, quality of writing I feel ReZero or Mushoku Tensei have way more impactful and meaningful scenes and better character development, not to even touch the world-building.
But if you like gaming and RPGs, Tate's LN at one point can become addictive to read, but of course, it is not for everyone.
@Playcool I may have to consider it even though season 3 has done enough to get us a season 4.
I got a Masters degree. I don't have to worry bout school anymore.

Much better than the last few episodes, the fight scene with the Emperor Dragon was certainly interesting, although pretty CGI heavy. I think the reasonably good camera movements saved it for me.

That cliffhanger though is just evil, now the Shield Hero and the kids could be dead or may survive, no one knows until the next episode.

Nice to see Filo get the spotlight again. It seems that everyone except Raphtalia just becomes a background extra after getting a focal episode, maybe two.

I gotta give credit where credit is due: the show has been improving since the previous episode. Rising of the Shield Hero shines when it focuses on the characters' struggles because the characters made the show so good to begin with.

Best Princess is the only one who remembers Filio was eaten.

Seriously they all got plot holed. Into whatever else they were talking about.

Then we have her.

So basically S4 of Danmachi but condensed into at most 3 episodes? I hope there will be something more than just a buff for MC after this, but can't really see any reason for character growth of main cast for now.

Enemies will never wait for you to finish your conversation or spellcasting during a fight, this is not a turn-based battle
I can't feel the slightest bit of immersion in these things, the way they do the script is terribly strange and bad

I have so many questions, there is so many things which are just happening without any clear explanation why. Why did the little dragon decided to eat that marble? Why does the dragon drain Filo's experience points? Why does the dragon get defense from Naofumi's shield and how can he control it?

This dragon is overpowered as hell, remotely hacking Naofumi's stat interface and upgrading his shield to somehow boost his own defences.

Ren is with the Shield Hero as a party member. Nice. But the grief and anguish he caused to the little girl is still sickening.

Filo is captured again... Seriously.

Shield Hero is in dire times again...

This is getting exciting, as well as saddening.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Uh Putin, could you explain to us what's going on why the dragon thingy... No Why everyone seems to be able to manipulate Naofumi's interface, Without any real explanation. I'm a developer. Half the stuff like this can be explained by them having permission to do it.

And even worse, how come you've mixed Gaélion before and Gaélion the new and that makes you The Demon Lord Dragon Of Hell who kills, what? that doesn't make any sense!

Shield hero raid to kill dragon is pretty cool but they fought zombie dragon before? Man, Shield hero must be really generic if i don't remember almost anything past few early episodes.

Crazy explosions, not sure what dragon core is, still the lore goes deep in this show. I guess he used the core to power up his shield, not sure why it was standing by. It's all so confusing.

Oh well, hopefully it makes sense eventually.

Wait, so Wyndia is the daughter of the Zombie Dragon from season 1? That's crazy. I know they said last episode that Dragons can reproduce with anything, but how did that happened?
Also, being this important for this part of the plot, just makes it worse how Wyndia just kinda of appeared last episode.

And of course, Filo is put under a curse when the Dragon appears, because why not. I think they didn't even bothered to explain that.

But the situation is kinda tragic, everyone is kinda almost dead, and the only ones able to attack are Naofumi, Wyndia, Fohl and Atla. And it seems Atla is going to help Naofumi taking on that attack.
Now, this episode they mentioned that Atla can see "the force being sucked out from Filo" and used some kind of abillity to make that process longer. However, where did that come from? I always assumed she would end up having an abillity like that, because she's blind, but she can walk around and fight just like the others, and it always felt like they would make her quite powerful, but the anime never explained that. And this is just enfuriating at this point, because they could spend 2 minutes explaining thesee stuff, instead of jumping from one thing to another.

Also, wasn't Fohl supposed to be really strong? Because so far they have made him quite weak, and I'm not sure why.

The moment between Wyndia and her father was good, but it felt rushed, so that took some of the drama and emotion away.

The CGI draggon this episode wasn't as bad though, at least we have that. But how many spirits are inside that thing? So far we have 3, and that's crazy. Maybe Itsuki will be there too now, since he never appeared in this season so far, and if we are it, then let's add some more souls in there.

Ahh, this season surely isn't following the 1st season steps, although it isn't on the same level as the 2nd season...

We can better understand why the little girl wanted to take care of the dragon, but I don’t feel any emotional connection to it. The jazz OST is always original to hear during the fight.
