 In most cases, the MAL Average Scores don't mean anything, here is a question: were the works made before 2000 all shit? Why are they so damn scarce in the Top 50? Think about how MAL is quite literally a filtered amount of the Anime fanbase. Here's a timeline of the Top 15 in which you can check that, almost always, the scores are affected by the freshness, popularity and other factors that have nothing to do with quality. |

| The first ecchi was I think Rio: Rainbow Gate. It was around the time when that other Rio with the blue parrots cane out and I accidentally downloaded this one instead, then thought whatever, I'll give it a chance. It wasn't a smart choice. The first harem was probably Hyakka Ryouran because I've seen some gifs on 9gag and liked the aesthetics. Either that or Sekirei though in this case I don't know the reason. |

| First harem: Sword Art Online First ecchi: Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? When I started out watching anime I actually thought that harem authors were just being lazy because there seemed to be so many of them, but in reality I was the one being lazy by using recommendation sources that directed me to watching so many harems. I wouldn't exactly call myself "enlightened" since I still see ecchi/harem shows as being low tier anime, but I will occasionally seek them out if I just want something casually entertaining that I don't have to think too much about or if the premise seems interesting enough for me to look past the fact that it's ecchi or harem (or sometimes that it appeals to my fetishes enough that it being ecchi is actually a good thing). |

| My first harem would have been Tenchi Muyo as it was the first harem-type anime aired on Toonami. The first Ecchi anime, as far as I can remember, was Midori Days. I'm not 100% certain on that though. I recall watching Yamada's First Time and a few others around the same time. |
