| I'd like to insist on one point: It sucks. Even for one day, it sucks. The rating system from 1 to 10 is on point, I don't even know if the community really has issues with it or if it's just for the joke. Only issue was actually 13yo anime fans giving 10s to average shounens (making me watch anime like assassination classroom) & those using bots to alter real scores (clannad after story, chihayafuru s3). So one idea to improve this (in addition to dealing with bots): allow filters! for instance, with age (others could include: country, number of animes watched, etc). People grow up, tastes change, the more you watch the more you expect, etc. It's a nice way to improve the current scoring system, but it stills remains a non-essential feature. The ranking with scores as it is (coupled with reviews & recommendations) already gives a fair idea of the quality to be expected. |
