| Not sure if it's just the version I downloaded or what but the audio mixing sounded really off this episode. The background noises were way too loud. Suzuka first, the rest nowhere at the halfway point. Man that twist tho, I'm genuinely upset. 6 weeks ago I never thought I would be getting emotional over horse girls injuries. I can't wait for Spe-chan and Suzuka to run together. also their winter uniforms looks nice. |

| consistently with this show I find that there is too many highlights and it's hard to cut it down to a reasonable amount. It's just such an enjoyable show to watch full of great fun, funny, and emotional moments. So El Condor Pasa is in France? that's cool I guess she wasn't good enough for America. The lesson from this week is don't ignore your rivals or don't lose sight of your goal or something like that. Is that actually a good lesson? who knows, who cares, the girls are cute and that's all I need! |

Not to mention the footwear, which was suggestively implicated in Suzuka's injury. Come to think of it it's a bit weird hearing them call El Condor Pasa "Eru-chan," since Eru is God in Tolkien's universe :P I was out finally seeing Infinity War yesterday, happy birthday AP :) |

The girls' names are stupid, they can talk while running without biting their tongues or hardly losing their breath, every single girl is out to make a fashion statement, having to perform a concert after exhausting yourself is dumb, none of the characters are interesting or have fun interactions. back to the ranch |

| I guess El Condor Pasa's coat is a cape in my mind. I assume the game has idol-raising activities as well as the racing stuff? The show's writers seem to be deliberately minimizing and excluding the idol element as much as they can, because they know it's stupid. In a way I'm disappointed that the show isn't nearly as stupid as it looked early on, but I'll take what it is over what it looked like. | Well, here's my obligatory gush from June 'What makes a man a man?' a friend of mine once wondered. Is it his origins? The way he comes to life? I don't think so. It's the choices he makes. Not how he starts things, but how he decides to end them." from Guillermo del Toro's Hellboy, to everyone who defined this show as "just a mobage promotion." It was fantastic, one of the best competitive CGDCT I've ever seen. I'd say #3 after Girls und Panzer and Taisho Baseball Girls. Silence Suzuka's race was perfect. Special Week's didn't quite make sense, because the show set up how Broye effortlessly outclasses everyone, then had her struggle to catch up with Special Week while they were still behind in the pack. Special Week still awesome though. I was a little disappointed with the final race being just pure fanservice, but (in the words of literal translators everywhere) I don't dislike it. byClear writes on CR: "People may say the finish of the last episode was a bit gimmicky, but it honestly felt like the author is just someone who loves the sport and it was their way of conveying their perfect dream. It was their dream of seeing all their heros throughout history race side by side. It's a race that can't ever happen and a race that no winner could be decided in. I personally thought the race was beautiful and emotionally driven even if the finish was a bit farfetched." |
| Started watching Alice or Alice (which if you already forgot it, https://myanimelist.net/anime/36001/Alice_or_Alice__Siscon_Niisan_to_Futago_no_Imouto ) First off there's a cute girl with straight cut bangs enjoying a fluffy alpaca Then they go to a cafe and there's some kind of floating fluffball animals Then they find a broke starving girl in the trash and the episode title calls her "Harapeko no Ruka" https://memekomaru.wordpress.com/2016/02/09/what-does-harapeko-mean/ So I guess now I know where Pekola's name came from Anyway, in its first four episodes this innocuous short predicted three aspects of later Notable 2018 Anime, not bad. Everything being manga adaptations makes this less fun though. |
