| Well nice episode, its not that rush compared to first episode. We got some backstory from Ryo, which states that he's a head chef and doesn't need someone to help him to cook, unlike Megumi who likes cooking with her friends and family. I'm so glad that Megumi is improving her cooking and she's having more confidence now. Looking forward for the next episode. |

| The Jojo references was nicely done. The pacing is much better than the first episode. BabaSnook said: like i loved shokugeki season 1 but like now it getting a bit repetive. for e.g each episode is 2 people battling it out and like always the MAIN main characters always win like i have a feeling the megumi's going to win this. this anime doesnt excite me anymore i need the autumn elections to finish so the anime can get exciting Hahahahaha. |

| I've been waiting to see this animated. Yankee Megumi is a delight for the eyes (I'm not a fan of her derp face, but otherwise she looks awesome on that getup). EBI EBI EBI EBI EBI HOTA HOTA HOTA HOTA HOTA That part was awesomely animated and I had an amazing lolfest. Those old farts really make up good foodgasm material too. And Alice's tantrum was funny too. But I'm a sucker for Megumi so. |

The Autumn Selection is all about the Black horse of the current characters. |

| Uuuuuhhhhhhhh I was so worried getting into this since Megumi was up next. I WAS SERIOUSLY FREAKING TENSE THE ENTIRE EPISODE. And hungry, I was also hungry, and so very happy with her performance. She made me so proud. AND THEN THEY BECAME STAND USERS AND I JUST LOST IT. I want next week to come already, how am I suppose to handle this wait. |

| It's just fun how people here think that Megumi even had a chance to begin with. LOL. If you have noticed this episode. They clearly clearified that Kurokiba is better than Alice. That's one of the reasons why it's impossible for her to win. |

| I'm glad that they slowed down the pace for this episode. Now I can really feel the tension, which was the main selling point of the first season for me. I just wish this anime didn't make me so hungry. I really want a taste of all those crazy foods. |

| SHIT!!!! megumi!!! i didn't expect her to fight him straight like that. seriously, that suprised me really well. she is really brave in this episode with a fucking high determination in her mind. freaking awsome episode with megumin as the spotlight. "Light VS Shadow" seriously, i don't know who will win that fight. that after credit is freaking killing me..... xD wtf with the way they ended this episode lol xD that was so hillarious xD looking foward for the next episode. |

| Wow pretty intense match. And that cliffhanger. Did not expect them to wait until next episode to decide the winner when they finished Soumas (who is main char) match in episosde 1. Seems there will be 1 match each episode but they might delay the results a bit. Megumis stuff seemed more delicious ... but if she wins it would be too obvious. Might just have delayed it to next episode to show that the guy is winning instead as surprise. |

They already teased the next arc in PV's and the intro/outro, so yeah they're gonna do the next arc aswell (or at least the first half of it, probably more though), which is why I'm totally ok with them going fast paced through the tournament. The tournament was like this in the manga aswell, first episode aside, this episode was adapted really close to the manga (ch. 67-71). It's the nature of a tournament to just have battle after battle, there will be more story etc. in between a bit later so it's not too bad. The next arc is still my favorite in the entire manga and I really hope they adapt it perfectly. My advise for everyone who hates the tournament setting atm: wait 2-3 weeks (100% sure they'll finish the next match within 1ep again) and then catch up, it should be a bit better by then (aka more story parts) and the next arc, if they do it right, will have tons of character developements and interactions, not only for Souma but also for the supporting cast. |

| The OP and ED are okay, I'm unimpressed. Nothing beats the first OP and ED in the first season. What's hilarious about SnS is that it's like DBZ and all those cheesy-as-fuck shounen fighting series but in the form of cooking. Even Chūka Ichiban! wasn't this intense or fanservice-y. Ryo's spiel about kneeling for food, harassing Megumi just because her team cheered for her and boasting about his abilities reminds me of those villains in DBZ or Jojo's Bizarre Adventure for some reason. |

| I'm kinda sad they left out last part of the Alice/Ryo flashback where Ryo accepts Alice as his master. They'll probably do it next episode though. |

| Ramen is a taditional common food in Japan. I also have already ate it and it's so good. The sauce mix with the right ingredients can make an excellent combination. Ryo made a strong ramen with hot spicy flauvors while Tadokoro made one more lightly taking care of the people who are going to eat it. PS: The last scene before the ED was very crazy... It always give me some nervous about which one is going to win and keep walk in the tournament or who is going to fail and also keep doing his/her best to move on... |
