But, every time Sakuroko does her gloves thing and the 30 second animation starts it kinda gets on my nerves.
They're going what God Eater with it's slow motion moments or captain Earth with it's mecha transformations, wasting airing time because they won't know what to do with the plot.

Mm always reminds me Sailor Moon or Shugo Chara haha

I'm just wondering whose that appraiser bastard.
Sooo.. Sakurako's treating Shoutarou a bit too much as her brother's substitute ?

There's gotta be easier ways of killing oneself "accidentally" right? And even if he did succeed he would have left a dangerous painting in the possession of his family (I'd imagine his wife would keep it as a memento maybe). When you think of it that way, it would've been better for him to just leap off a bridge right? He also finds a job before he even recovers from his wound which cheapened the preceding conflict further with how easy it was to get his family back to a stable situation. Maybe he should've considered going for a job hunt before trying to slowly poison himself to death.

Well, he had to make it look like an accident to collect the insurance money. He *could* have driven in the rain and killed himself when getting that delicious cake, of course. Then again, I don't think he was thinking too straight during the ep, nor after the baby was born. Certainly his mistakes with the axe handle and preliminary cut could have been caught by another investigator.

The family sold the house and he certainly had wealth, such as the fireplace and the paintings. A more rational man would have done this, but Fujioka still has his history of premature deaths, so had that to contend with. If you're going to die early, why not set the time of your death.

Sakurako really didn't have much of an opponent in Fujioka , but the mysterious man (the villainous painter!) could be the one behind it, and good puppets are hard to find these days...!

Wow! I am amazed by how right most of use were. I and other mentioned about him maybe trying to collect money from insurance and we were on point.
I didn't comment on the painting but others were right about the chemicals etc.

Fun fact of the day. Babies can't see cold colors very well. They are identify warm colors mostly.

So Sakurako saved Fujioka, twice, good stuff, glad he survived for his family's sake. And I guess Hector was her reward. :D There's no doubt we'll be seeing that butterfly car man behind all this again in a future case, he needs to get taken down.

Yeah after hearing about his role here it seems we have our villain of the story.

Oh yeah, there's a third point:

WHY would you try to do that with a cleaving axe FFS? Especially those uncommon wide edged cleaving axes, they're just impossible to sharpen. You can cleave with them, evidently, you can smash things with them (like bones), but actually cutting is almost impossible.

Because his whole reason was about making it look like an accident.
What will be the excuse of getting something better at cutting veins and bleeding to death?
The axe had an excuse because his wife made him cut wood every day.

Wow, a lot of theories actually come true, debt, toxic painting, insurance money, and hidden antagonist. And butterfly also made appearance as well.

Glad to see the kid from second episode and the family here now are doing well.

The issue with the painting was interesting, but the father's reasoning to kill himself was simply stupid.

One thing’s for sure Fujioka is stupid. There’s a lot of ways to kill yourself and makes it looks like an accident rather than chopping off your leg which might not kill him. Well, he might be hesitating to commit suicide coz that’s pretty lame.

And that appraiser dude is the guy in black with a hat if I’m not mistaken. Wonder what he’s real motives are for giving Fujioka a harmful painting and even telling him to look at it with his baby and I have a feeling he’ll appear again in other episodes.

So it was the painting but not like I expected. And that's not where it ended, seems like it was a debt problem. Nice case, but again, that ending!!!! What was Sakurako talking about, I really want to know.
Come on man, where is that Noragami season 3 masterpiece. We want it, Bones!
