Wow what a refreshing series, I loved it. If they make a season 2 I would like to see some romance between Sammy and Rikuo.

I just blasted through this series in 1 sitting and I really liked it.

BTW, those 3 rules were originally created by Isaac Asimov, so if you liked this series you guy might want to check out I, Robot (the book, NOT the movie with Will Smith).

Damn! I cried during those sad scenes, Tex/Thx and Masaki moment at the cafe - that was deprived their relationship just because his Dad reprogram the command to avoid further leak about the family situation.

Tex and Masaki existing the cafe haha I so cracked up to that

I WAS EXPECTING THE ENDING FOR RIKOU AND SAMMY ATLEAST TOGETHER,

Why is it THE END with (?)

This should have been a tv series, much better

Truely a unique and marvelous ONA! I have greatly enjoyed it and it was, in a way, an eye-opener for me!

Just a heads up to everyone Im pretty sure the movie is just the 6 episodes back to back with some bonus scenes.

Awesome show, surprised it took me this long to find it. Would be a sin if it didn't get another series.

As much as I enjoyed the episode, I would have loved a little more on the Sammy-Rikuo front.

Also, like I though, Masaki was just angry because he was hurt. That was kinda cliche?

Oooo They made this episode twice as long! Masaki has got a point. Its kind of ridiculous. Tex talked!! So Masaki doesnt actually hate robots? What a bummer -.-.

Robot tears? THAT CREEPS ME THE HELL OUT. Well, good ending. Im satisfied with that.

For a short series, Eve no Jikan is exceptional. The ending was good, however, I felt it was a bit anti-climactic. Anyway, if there ever is another season, i'd definitely watch it as the story is set up for a continuation.

Final ep: 7.5/10
Overall: 8

A brilliant series. That’s all I got to say; kept me on the edge at every moment.

The unarguably best part was when Masaki was going out the café with THX and collided with the stairs.

“How did it get in?”

“I held it.” “I lifted it up.”

Cue emotional music on again.
“Damn! You really are demanding a lot!”— “Someday I’ll get you to say thanks for today.”

Seriously, I was crying at the touching moment before that but I had to explode in laughter, I couldn’t take it, it was priceless.
I think, then procrastinate.
Therefore, I am.

Good show but I was really very disappointed on the ending. No closure on the whole Rikuo and Sammy dilema, or the Piano deal or the Cafes "pending" future, no closure on anything really. I haven't watched the movie version yet though, hope it says more.

Great story.

It did remind me of the Chobits series just a bit. But it took a less personal approach. Chobits delved into love in an unorthodox relationship between humans and androids/persicons. Where as Time to Eve story delves more into emotions of love in respects to friendships and family.

Would have loved to see more progression between the 2 male protagonists and the androids friends they've created. I would have especially loved to see more interaction between Rikuo and Sammy.

In a second season my wishlist is.

1) Sammy and Rikuo duet on the paino
2) Rikuo's sister and the drama as she confronts Rikuo on his behavior changing towards Sammy and her behavior in general.
3) maybe a drama with Akiko and her owner that frightens her and maybe involves Rikuo and Misako coming to the rescue.
4) maybe something happening with Nagi disappearing and some drama to figure out why with a positive outcome or the cafe being moved again.

Wow you guys weren't kidding with "weird end" .. actually its more like.. no end at all

I have basically only 1 gripe with this show which is why i only rate it a 7

Its the robot laws.. yes

Sorry but, Asimov did not write these laws because they work, he formulated them and in his books, dismantled them utterly and showed why human robot interaction based on these 3 rules will always lead to either a stalemate or outright violation of said rules.

To base the entire Anime on the premise that the viewer does not know this, is very very.. sad. Basically, from the get-go of the first ep, where they showed the first law of robots, i knew where this story was heading. Its all been told already, by Asimov no less.

Though it is still a 7 because of the Blade Runner reference, which is what i thought from the first scene in the cafe onwards. This is like a test, humans enter the enclosed holding pen of robots and humans, not knowing who is what. They try to find out = blade runner.

So i write that much, yet i still rated it 7.. point is. When you make a robot anime and take the 3 robot laws that Asimov wrote so that they are NOT used as Robot laws.... well yeah ;)

Wow that was touching as fuck. I actually teared over a guy and his bro robot. The things anime can do. I wish I had an android bro. Anyways, this show was good even for a short ONA. I wish there were more of this but for now I'll settle with watching the movie version of this.

I didn't like how there wasn't that much RikuoxSammy interaction in the cafe, but oh well.

Admittedly, I find the concept of artificial intelligence developing emotions to be completely absurd, as emotions are so complex that, with the technology we have in the present day, we still don't completely understand them, let alone be able write a program that can mimic them. However, I set my criticism aside to be able to enjoy the series, which I did.

The issue of robots become sentient is a commonly explored topic in media, but I have to admit, this anime does it in a unique fashion that is worthy of acclaim. The execution was not flawless, but the series managed to induce emotional moments without the use of melodrama.

Overall, a very good series that was a tad on the short side. I really hope that a sequel is on the way, as I, like a lot of other members, want to see more of Sammy as well. :3

yet another sad episode although it ruined it when tex was leaving xD and had to be carried out although i did laugh to myself, its nice to see that they have left it open for another season at least but i have only just looked and seen that it was made quite a while ago, so not likely to see one which is a shame, the animation was so beautiful the character and plot were okay/good (at times anyway) managed a seven for me as it did well especially with there being only 6 episodes... wish there was more, the last two episodes made it for me :)

This was a masterpiece, even by the series standards. The ending when they go to leave was a brilliant move.

I would definitely like to see this series continue. For the sake of Sammy alone, this series must continue!

But the sub-plot they introduced involving the mystery behind the cafe's, and that incident with the child... Sheesh. I want to know what it was all about!

Hmmm... a movie perhaps? =D

This show is flawless but idk I feel like it's missing something. It was just too short for me to sympathize and love any of the characters. There's no plot holes or anything but I felt like the episodes weren't very connected with each other in terms of a main plot going on. I wish there was more foreshadowing and suspense since the last episode was like most of it. Anyway, it's a borderline 9. I'm putting it as a 8 for now. It will go up depending on how it compares to the movie.

This! WHY DID THEY ADD IT IN IF THEY AREN'T GUNNA CONCLUDE IT?? ;-;

So how did everyone interpret the ending?

Nagi was killed in an accident and replaced with an android, and a new robot law was added that meant they all had to have their time of eve (which is how they found the cafe)? And nagi was used to monitor this?

Edit: Also, any plans for a BD release?

Well there was a little left open (the girl incident as well as Sammy), but this series was simply amazing. Not just the concept, which itself is a very interesting take on robots, but also the animation, directing, music, and it's laid-back comedy.
The only horrible thing about this was that it was only 6 episodes that were already shortened to approximately 15 minutes!
I will decide between a 9 or 10 out of 10 for this, as well as a possible all-time favorite.
