Mm, OP song seems a little different.

Anyways, episode. Eww, those food looked fucking disgusting to me. Ohi L-Elf. Well, he took care of some thug in the home econ room. Like a boss.

He's back:

Alright, I think L-Elf knows someone from that photograph. It's one of the girls from the ED song with the pink pigtails I think. Also, is that a new ED song? I kinda like the other one better.

So this story is going to have a time skip sometime soon?...Not sure what are the implications of Saki staying 2 centuries into the future. But that also means there are 6 other people around, since the old guy who got destroyed mentioned 7.

Not going to lie, after thinking this as a joke series, I'm fairly impressed with this episode in particular. It looks like L-Elf does have a certain logic to his predictive abilities, and character relationships were fleshed out very well, like between A-drei and L-Elf. It's also revealed more or less what L-Elf's motive is -- the princess, who's shown up in ED. Whether she's imprisoned or to be married off or something is unclear, but L-Elf is clearly opposing Dorssia with her in mind.

The surprise for me is that the Valvrave 3 and 2 have, on any evidence, fused.

So the person who will drive the yellow Valvrave (II) will inevitably die before the end of the serie, right?
(Unless Saki have 2 Valvrave =s)

I hope that it's not L-Elf ^^'

Hmm. I wonder if Saki's future Valvrave is an actual fusion of hers and the yellow one, or if all of them will get some sort of golden mid-season upgrade.

Not sure where you're getting the impression. Is it because the Valvrave Saki will be operating 200 years from now isn't entirely green (which it is now)? From what the old man who died at her hands said, Saki and the other Valvrave operators are known as the "Golden 7," and I presume the parts on Saki's Valvrave is an upgrade of sorts that all Valvraves later receive which later give them that nickname.

Edit: it'd also explain how Saki's pilot suit has golden parts embedded as well.

MUCH better episode than previous 5 or so, things are finally getting interesting. Felt bad for the glasses girl(Aina?) but of course without her death can't have enraged boyfriend becomes robot pilot. L elf was badass as usual, finally seeing the reasons for his defection.

Hope they can keep up with this kind of episode going forward, was pretty rough going for me after the first episode, but this one makes me interested again for sure. Hope we will see alot more of L-elf as well, certainly my favorite character.

choices:
1. For everyone who become his friends *golden 7,or clasm8s including all MC
2. Haruto only
3.Kyuuma (i just have this feeling, this series is a rollercoster plot after all)

oh well waiting for until the end.

What picks my interest is the Galactic Empire. Since the series is set in a time that will be known as the FIRST year of the Galactic Empire, I wonder if the academy that declared independent is in fact the founding of the Galactic Empire.

Plus the flash-forward set in Year 214 of the Galactic Empire.

I don't know how to react to this week's ep honestly, this is like the 3rd time I've changed my comment. It was its usual self but it was also a "better" episode than previous ones?

Not that different from last week save that A-Drei and Eru-Erufu had bigger roles in the attacks

This episode was actually not as bad as the others. I felt bad for Aina, that was a little shocking, but at the same time, I kind of expected it (they focused waaaay too much on her in this one episode than usual for her to live through it). I feel pretty bad for Kyuuma too (were they dating or something? It looked that way before).

Yes, an episode with more L-Elf. Just what I needed, more focus on a character who can handle things 100x better than Haruto can.

The 200 flashforward was a nice twist. The biggest question however is who are the "Golden 7" if there is only 5 Valvraves? I feel sad for the girl though, but at this point someone had to die to create a rift between the MCs.

Well, this show took a dark turn suddenly. It seems every time L-elf and Haruto meet, blood gets spilt.

This episode started interestingly enough. We see that as this show begins the first year of the Third Reich, in the beginning of this episode we go to the 214th year! (For the love of God! How long does this war last?!) Saki is seen slightly older looking, matured, with a new pilot's suit and an overcharged Valvrave 4, and she's still fighting against Dorssia mech. She then looks at a picture in a locket saying that it's been 200 years now. I'm assuming the picture is of her sweetheart, but it's up in the air as to who it is. But since that person's no longer alive, I'd say either that person didn't become a pilot and therefore immortal, or if that person did become a pilot and then probably sacrificed their life. That person lives until 14 years from the start of this series which would have made that person having died in their late 20s-early 30s.

Yet, after that shot from the future, we go back to present day and see that despite finding out about the rest of the Valvraves, everything goes smoothly. Haruto and Saki are still keeping their secrets and Shoko agrees. L-elf then comes out of the woodwork and begins his plan to militarize New JIOR in order for them to be ready for the war at hand. He tries to go through Shoko, but she's not having it. He then decides to take over the school by force. While the students try to take him out, he beats them with ease and then goes to face Haruto down in the mecha room, who was there with Aina.

Haruto is such an idiot at times, it seems at this point he all but forgot there was a Dorssian soldier running around in the school. He should have anticipated this.

However, their meeting is cut short by A-drei showing up who it seems was actually sent there by Col. Cain. It seems A-drei may have plans of rebellion himself as he says that L-elf was supposed to be his right-hand man. I don't quite know where that will go, but who knows. He IS a prince, so maybe he wants to take over? L-elf seems to just want A-drei to stay out of things and that he has his own plans. However, Q-vier shows up and everything goes downhill from there.

Q-vier doesn't care who he takes out. That kid is wayyy too gun-happy for his own good. The Dorssians are again attacking the school and this time they have another plan. A pinned and injured Haruto make an alliance of convenience with L-elf and L-11 allows Haruto to use his body to pilot the Valvrave. Haruto then comes to Saki's rescue following L-elf's notes and he realizes that together he and L-11 would be unbeatable.

Kyuma goes down to retrieve Haruto's body, but is in shock to find his girlfriend Aina has become collateral damage. She is the first supporting character to die and I must say her death flags have been waving for a while now. I thought that they might twist it a bit and have Kyuma be the one who died and her pilot the mech, but when I say her in this one I knew she was going to bite the dust. She was way too nice to ever consider becoming a pilot. Poor thing died gruesomely too. And this assures me that Kyuma will certainly be one, if not our next pilot. He might even be a rival for Haruto since he seems to be blaming him for Aina's death.

Lastly we get quite the emotional scene from Haruto in L-11's body. L-11 seems to carry around an old weathered picture of a girl who's the Dorssian princess, with the name "Licht" written on the back. Seeing the picture stimulates such an emotional response that L-11's body and unconscious mind weep heavily over seeing it and Haruto doesn't even know why. So is the Princess named "Licht" or is that L-11's real name? The next episode seems to suggest it's the princess, but I'm not sure. (Sigh, that's just what we need...another character named "Light"...)

But if the Princess is named Licht, then who's Liselotte? And the way L-11 was crying over her, I would have thought she was dead. And she seems more like a sister to him than a lover and friend by his response. So is he related to the princess and thus also to A-drei? Are they all like half-siblings or something?

The new ED was good, I liked the fact that it's actually animated. It suggests that indeed L-elf and Haruto will be a team, and that Cain might know a whole lot more than he let on. This was a pretty good episode and I can't wait for the next one!

I give this episode an 8.95/10.

200 years first forward into the future? That was super time skip. At least Saki haters can rest assured that she is here in this anime to stay. :P

So it was Aina after all. Which leaves Kyuuma to be the next Valvrave pilot. Also, please someone give one Valvrave to Nakamura Yuuichi already!

This episode, although predictable, not surprisingly, still enjoyable. This anime is pure gold, entertainment wise! L-Elf taking the center role made the episode a bit more enjoyable. Looks like it's not only L-Elf. A-Drei can save the anime too!

That's possible but if she got in one, it would have started up and she wouldn't have gotten out of it again. None of the other machines have moved. I think it's safe to say that Aina has bitten the dust.

We saw the body this time, and that poor girl was almost bifurcated by the debris.

She served her purpose to inspire Haruto and maybe give a clue about the Valvrave's origins.

Aww darn, it's always the quiet ones. Well at least we know it's not some light hearted show where Haruto comes and saves the day. But 200 years into the future was a surprise, kinda want to know who the other 6 pilots are. Can't wait to see everyone grieving over Aina's death, I wonder what Haruto will do now?

Finally it took 6 episode for this show to start getting good. Don't let me down now Sunrise.

With megane-chan dead, there is now a good motivator for Kyuuma to pilot a Valvrave (the blue one without a doubt) but I wonder if that will happen in the next episode or the one after. We see him fighting w/Haruto in the preview, probably blaming him for glasses girl's death.

Though we know that Thunder and Akira/NEET will get the other 2 Valvraves (Yellow and Purple, respectively) almost assuredly in the first cour; I wonder who will be the last two pilots and if they will be shown in the first cour, or revealed in the second.

Considering that bit we saw of Saki post-timeskip, we know for certain that there are 7 VVV pilots in total as the enemy pilot called them the "Golden 7". I bet there was something that gave them all golden colors, similar to how Saki's post-timeskip VVV got. Maybe when they are all gathered together they have another "morph sequence" and get gold trim? Dunno...

I'm really curious about the last two pilots. We know the other two since all the merch that is getting released kinda spoiled it... and I can't imagine seeing Shoko OR L-elf being pilots. Though I suppose it *could* happen... although I personally think if L-elf got a VVV it would make him a Gary Stu due to his mad skillz. Unless he got a defensively/utility orientated VVV, that is.. and I still think Shoko is going to die in the near future if she doesn't become a VVV pilot.

Maybe Lieselotte could be one? (That girl in the OP, who Haruto saw at the end of Ep7 via the picture in L-elf's pocket) Maybe Shoko though. I don't think we'll be shown who the last two pilots are (VVV #2 & #7) until the second cour either way, though.

The last two VVV units aren't with all the others, either. So I'm curious where they are. Are they on some secret lab on Earth, or held elsewhere? We likely won't have the answer to that until the Fall season though... :(

I think it is more likely that Haruto became evil than him dying. We know that becoming a pilot makes you near immortal, but there are still ways to make an immortal person endure a living hell. They could very easily be restrained in some dungeon somewhere, rotting for all of eternity.

Remember, Megane-chan gave Haruto the idea in this episode that he WASN'T a monster, but a GOD. This will be important later on, I believe. They wouldn't just include that for no reason.

If something causes Haruto to snap for real - like Shoko actually dying - I could very easily seeing him "pull a Darth Vader" so to speak and become the new Paul Atreides/Muad'dib and become the new Emperor/etc. All with help from L-elf, of course; Haruto was VERY impressed with L-elf's precognition skills this episode while battling L-elf's teammates. Because of that Haruto will most likely be a lot more "trusting" or "willing" to cooperate with him in the future, I believe.

It is interesting that there are 7 pilots though only 6 Valvrave are listed on the website and one of them is missing. Also, I don't think the princess is Liselotte. L-11 seems to get very emotional seeing that girl's picture much less speaking her name. Also when he says Liselotte's name he says "I win again" like it's a challenge towards her. The responses don't match.

This is on top of the fact that he writes the name "Licht" on the back of the photo. So either, "Licht" is his name and she wrote it on there, or it's her name.
