| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Some rearranging, skipping, and adding of scenes was an interesting surprise God the ants are even creepier animated and with color, can't wait to see them wreaking havoc Really liking the heavier soundtracks used so far especially with scenes of the Queen  My reaction to Kurt and Reina's demise NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! THEY DIDN'T DESERVE TO HAVE THAT HAPPEN TO THEM Reina just wanted to live in peace with her onii-chan : ( The anime's deliberate pacing right now is doing a good job in building up the threat of the Ants. Should be picking up soon with the Ants gathering food and eventually when Gon/Killua/Kite encounter the larger Ants hehe Oh hai Pokkle and Ponzu! Been a while |

| Nice episode - they added a bit more exposition for Kurt and Reina before their unfortunate meeting with a Chimera Ant, which I think worked well. Also, I am glad that they didn't decide to match the quality of the art in this episode with the corresponding chapters. I remember these ones having some particularly ugly pages like the one below: |

| Hahaha, I can't wait to see people's reactions to the coming episodes. But yeah, I'm really digging the extra content they're using here; it's giving a bit more of a foundation to the nature of the ants before shit gets crazy. One of the only issues I had at the beginning of the CA arc in the manga, coupled with the suffering art, was that opening conflict was a bit confusing to decipher as to what was going on, until events played out a bit more. I feel the anime's doing a better job of actually introducing the conflict at hand, and why chimera ants are going to start looking distinctly humanoid. |

They build up the sweet, innocent kids' characters just so they can be eaten ;__; The whole time I was like, "Ohh no. The way this is progressing, these kids are definitely going to be eaten." Then when the crab-like ant grabbed them, I was like, "Nooooo! Why would you do that to these poor kids!" Hahaha The story seems like it's gonna get pretty interesting. | So, the Chimera Queen is carnivorous and must eat in order to give birth to her children. Well, the feeding on humans explains the distinctly humanoid appearances of most of the Chimera Ants. Pretty cool stuff. Wonder who the King will be made from. Feel bad for the kids, but they were raising all kinds of death flags there. And, laugh out fucking loud at the manga art JohnGalt showed. Wow. |

Wow i just took a glance at this episode, from the manga and i can't believe how they animated this, the studio created the chimera ants to have a very dark and creepy nature to them. Much more so then how it was shown in the manga, this is just great. Gives the arc an even more darker tone to it. |

| This is much better! The atmosphere is foreboding, some of those scenes were cringe-worthy, and most importantly, the enemies are incredible! Just like the Yorknew arc, I think this one's going to be amazing. The darker vibe I got while watching this totally sucked me in. Unlike in Greed Island, which was more lighthearted.. I am very excited to see where this goes. Very excited indeed. |

| This episode creeped me out. The Ants are just so creepy looking, and it's just disturbing. The kids dying was foreseeable, but still sad. I have a feeling one of the 7 will be killed, and used for the creation of the king. I don't like where this is headed. |

| Pretty decent chapter to set up a lot of things. The Chimera Ants make their move. It was kind of funny how the story went from being nice and happy go lucky to becomming dark as hell. With the death of Kurt and Reina the Chimera Ants just become stronger. Pokkle and Ponzu are going to show up next week. |
