| I think it just depends I have seen guys with multiple piercings and it just looks bad on them. Compared to my friend who I work with, he has over 20 piercings; a lot of them on his face and ears and I think they look good on him. I guess it just depends if you think the piercings would look right on you. But I myself and quite fond of eyebrow and lip piercings lol. |

| It matters a little, I have one of my ears pierced since I was a baby even though I don't really wear anything in it. My sister has those gages or whatever and they make your ear look disgusting and they make your ears smell like rotten chopped up feet. |

If a piercing is drawing too much attention, then usually it just doesn't suit the person who has it. A close friend/ex of mine has seven piercings, and to be honest I hardly ever notice them. Even though he accumulated more and more in the years we were together, I barely noticed them. He doesn't deny that he got his tongue and nipple pierced "just to know how much it would hurt", the rest he got simply because he thinks they look good - the same reason most people get piercings. Some people will go through a phase of getting lots of piercings as a kind of statement of rebellion, or just to push their pain barriers. But like I said, I personally think they only look good if they compliment your features. Less piercings generally look better than more though. |

| So long as it's inconspicuous and not an enormous gauge(Smaller gauges are fine), I think they can look good. I don't have an absolute preference though. |

| For me piercings (on both genders) are not a matter of good vs. bad, but a matter of how much worse. Of course I find plenty of people with piercings attractive, but I can't say I've ever thought they wouldn't be more attractive without them, even if just a little. Just yesterday I met a really cute girl who rocked a lip ring and nose stud well, but I can't help thinking she'd be even better looking without them. |

| imo, no to both guys and girls. only normal earrings are fine. if a guy wears earrings, its gotta be a baller status diamond. gauges and multiple piercings are ugly. having a fat ass hole in your body doesn't look cool. i know people that have regretted getting gauges because their ear didn't close all the way and were stuck with a fatty gap a decade later. |

| My bro just called me asking whether he should get one, saying he'd rather trust me than himself, told him I'd give it a thought. Though I'm a skeptic, it's not like one on the ear's gonna make a world of difference - but if you're gonna roll with piercings you'd better give it some effort, otherwise it's gonna end up looking bland and 'piercing for the sake of piercing', kind of like those generic tattoo motives; at least he didn't ask about one of those. |

| Edit: Yes, if you are comfortable with yourself and appearance. imo, on guys or girls, 3 piercings tops (on the face). i have personal preferences. i'm not a fan for over the top nutter metal hanging off someones face. If you are going to do it, keep it classy. (i realize that many of you think any piercing is less than classy) I've had several - labret, conch, septum, tragus. but this was in the 90's, and I was a raver for most the decade. i don't know about ravers now but it was super popular for that crowd back then. now everyone has them. sort of ruins the fun tbh. sorry if that offends anyone :) All I have left is my tragus and i love it. super subtle. i miss my conch piercings alot but had to take them out for nursing school. i like ear (cartilage) piercings best. They can be bold without drawing too much attention. and if you get pierced, you've got the have the attitude to wear it. style is personal and if you stick out from the crowd, you gotta own it. |

| I like piercings. A lot. They're second in line when it comes to really attractive things on people (the first being glasses, but glasses + anything but ear piercings is a big no). | Most guys that I've seen and come across haven't looked bad with them and in some cases even more attractive, but I can't speak for the rest of the pierced male population. I don't like big or huge gauges though, or lots of facial-spikes- piercings. |
| I really don't like piercings in general. Ear piercings only look attractive on some girls, and every other type of piercing is just a no-no. I don't get why guys get ear piercings, especially ones that dangle from the ear lobe. It just makes them look feminine. Tongue piercings are absolutely repulsive no matter the circumstance, ESPECIALLY when girls have them. |

| In general, anything other than discreet ear piercings looks stupid imo. Sure it can be done, but then you'd have to tailor your style in to fit it (ie, scenekid, goth, punk etc), and thereby locking yourself into those few styles. I mean, just imagine one of those faces that look like they've eaten a 12 gage slug, and picture it in a nice formal suit and dress party. Sure doesn't work in my book. |

| I used to wear earrings, but not anymore. It's not that they look tacky or anything...I just don't wear em. Some guys/girls look good in it, some don't. Also, I've seen gauges in all sorts of sizes and I have to say the very big ones are crazy. Imagine being 70-years old with gauges that big. I like the look of small gauges though. |

| I used to have my ear pierced but the hole closed. Personally, I don't have a huge need to get it repierced but I did spend like $50 on earrings.....sigh. Also a lot of girls have told me I should get an eyebrow piercing for some reason. Definitley not gonna do it though because I had a friend who had it and it looked like a real pain in the ass. He even got an infection like that. |

| I think it completely depends on where you're getting the piercing and the structure of the feature. Like ear piercings generally don't look good on people with round faces or huge ears. I have 3 ear piercings and one nipple and personally I've had more compliments than bad comments from the people I've met so I'd say if you want to get one done go for it :p But I do agree that the big flesh tunnels are pretty disgusting... |

| I think it really depends on the person and the peircing. Some people can pull off, lets say a lipring, while others cant. It really depends on the persons face. I don't really care about ears as long as they dont have holes that I can stick a golf ball through. I personally love piercings when they are done well. |
