| So many characters bought back after the break since season 3! Naofumi proves himself to be a selfless person again to help Raphtalia in any way possible. I think more interesting is now they're entering a new place (Siltvelt) already in just the first episode. It seems Naofumi really earned his reputation where he's counted on by another country and is known by others now. The theme song is alright, with the OP song being kinda catchy. |

| And just like that, after an almost two-year hiatus, we’re back. You seriously thought RAG was the most useless season four of the season? Well, you’d be wrong.. that is, if this season ends up being just as forgettable and useless as the last one. Because while I can tell you most of the highlights from last season, I honestly have no idea what the context was or why any of it even happened. Other than some dragon fight, I don’t remember a damn thing that went down last season. Something something about Raphtalia’s family wanting her dead because she wore some kimono, so now it’s a hunt for her family or whatever. The show’s gotten so unserious that even the Queen is talking about Naofumi forming a harem, like what lol. Anyway, back to the place that houses the ship or whatever to get to Raphtalia’s home, and Naofumi gets thrown into the lamest of lame sidequests with these buffoons wanting him to rule the place or something. Like bro, just let him get his ship and go already. Already back and starting off with the most nothingburger of a premier... the fall-off of this series needs to be studied. Even the OP was a downgrade from last season’s. Though, tbf, that one was always going to be hard to top. |

| Novelist Anego Yusaki's Tate no Yuusha a.k.a Shield Hero is back after 2.5 years for yet another season, and this time, it takes Naofumi and the gang further out into unknown territories. MADKID is back for yet another OP, and this feels fundamentally the same MADKID, but at the same time, feels different as well. Obviously, a continuation from Season 3, it's been awhile to see Naofumi, as well as Raphtalia and the gang having trained up, but now having Raphtalia's issues from Q'ten Lo be carried over as Naofumi's major concern, other than the Phoenix's awakening in 2 months. Since then, Naofumi's small village has not seen any form of attacks from Q'ten Lo, and forming an advance party to go ahead to Siltvelt is the main objective for now. Naofumi being the star of the parade incoming whom they worship the Shield Hero like a god, and most certainly got the welcome from Werner of the Shusaku Race, Solea of the Genmu Race, and Tsualon of the Aotatsu Race. But most certainly, the Shield Hero doesn't want to interfere in Siltvelt's intricacies, which the head servants prohibit him one step further to show loyality to a nation, rather than just letting him pass by, which the underdeveloped castle remains like a prison for him and the others. The other head servant of Jaralis of the Laio Race being one faction to help Naofumi escape to Q'ten Lo is a possibility, but as of now, things within Siltvelt is but a long way to reach Raphtalia's homeland. It's the return for yet another of Naofumi's agendas, but accepting royalty will prove to be quite a challenge for the Shield Hero, who has better things to do than to lead a country. |

We're right back where we left off with Q Ten Lo and the fucking Ninja Furry Army, who spent all those years waiting in the shadows for Raphtalia to put on a miko outfit. You'd think that if Raph were such a big threat to the throne, they would have just bought her as a slave and killed her. Queen MILFy being a bro and warning Naofumi about those furry STDs. Melty once again staying behind to do Naofumi's taxes or whatever, this time backed up by Fueeehhh and the Three Cardinal Dipshits. Some political faction struggles to maybe look forward to in Siltvelt. I don't expect this to touch the glory of Season 1, but I'm in too deep to quit now. |

| Motoyasu is still going strong with his father-in-law joke.. sheesh. After seeing this first episode, it really makes one thing crystal clear, just how bad the second season was in pretty much every aspect. I mean almost every episode we've got from this series after the second season has a better animation than that entire season had. They really couldn't capitalise on the hype the first season generated. Though I found the last season better than the second one, but yeah that too was riddled with those stupid af heroes simping for that one pussy which has the men in this series choked for some reason, I remember. AND SHE'S HERE IN THE OPENING OF THIS SEASON AS WELL.. JESUS. I still have hopes for this series, that's why I want this season to be better than the last two. We'll see, and yeah, openings in this series have never really disappointed, AT LEAST. |
| Atla and Fohl arc finally here. Man im not ready. I know this show’s had its problems in the past as an adaptation, but I pray they do this justice as it’s the only LN to ever make me cry! Shield Hero was also my 2nd ever LN series so it’ll always be kinda special to me. As for the episode itself, production values seem pretty similar to season 3, the opening shot of Naofumi riding Gideon was a nice chance for them to flex a little. Hopefully it stays that way and doesn’t devolve into what we got in season 2. Good to have Madkid back on the OP too. Generally a nice way to ease us back into the story while setting up this season’s main conflict in Stilvelt and the wider issue with Q’ten Lo and the Phoenix. It’s just one thing after another for Naofumi and it’s about to get crazier. Kinda funny to think half of this started all because he has nothing for Raphtalia in Miko dress lol. Gave us a nice taste of the racial and political tensions in Stilvelt and who better to solve it than the shield hero right? This is such a 180 from season 1 where Naofumi was hated and seen as a demon, now he can’t get people to leave him alone and is worshiped as a deity. Poor fella. I love how Atla is just fangirling out the entire time basically going “yes, you should be praising Naofumi sama” 😂 Looking forward to this arc and hopefully they keep the quality up. |

| It is a shame Melty won't be part of the main group but at the very least Atla and Fohl seem to be important so it is ok with me, I like those two a lot, Naofumi is a king trapped in his own Palace / Kingdom and this season seems to be rather political, I'm with Filo on this one, too much politics, I'm hungry. MADKID and Shield Hero just fit so well. |
| One of my favourite Isekai finally back.. I forgot how cute Filo talks. Also damn Motadyasu going on rampage for her loli waifu. Decent start, production wise it looking good. I am really looking forward to this because Raphtalia arc probably, but looks like it some distance away. Too much fishy buisness going on with the bird & lion. Probably wants to lock up Naofumi with harem and execute the plan. Alta simping is relentless. There's something going on with her and Fohl here. Lowkey scared. Too much talking gibberish, I too hope they leave Siltvet soon whole thing looks sketchy.  Dk if it's me but Shield Hero OPs are generally bangers this was not so much. |

The Opening was great imo, i really like the fact the animation and production quality has been raised substantially compared to the last few seasons. Not expecting ufotable level animation but this season might shape out to be some of the higher quality anime this season. The trailer promised some good Sakuga atleast. I like the English staff names on the opening song, Makes it feel somewhat comic bookish. |

It's thriving off the light novel and manga sales probably. |

| I really liked that it started from the the point it was left at because most animes with multiple seasons waste a lot of our time by repeating what happened in the previous seasons of the said animes. Other than that, the opening song wasn't great as compared to the previous seasons. The only thing I am looking forward to is the fight against the phoenix and the cardinal heroes fighting side by side with Naofumi. I hpe that heroes from the other worlds also join. |

| I have to admit that I can't remember most of what happenned in last season outside the heroes being idiots. Was the plot as stupid as this summary made it look like? And why they leave spear guy run rampant with the curse active? |
