Lol, a fake robot replica of Satoko. Just when I thought this anime wasn't meme worthy enough, that became a thing.

Well, it seems Konoha likes it. That Marin girl is also a mishievous one so might want to keep an eye on her if she decides to show up more in this show.

If this episode told us one thing it's how little Konoha cares about others not even noticing the difference between humans and robots despite the obvious unhuman things Roboko was doing.
Also now we confirmed more than 240 assassins in the city it really makes me wonder if there are still any living people in the city.
Price of a human life must be cheap.
I also liked the 90's fibe animations there where funny.

The episode was hilarious with cute reactions and those old anime styles in between—loved it.

The story shifted from yuri territory to robot love, with Konoha forming a strong bond with Roboko, only for it to be severed by Satoko. Konoha could only mourn the death of her partner, whom she believed to be the real Satoko. Can’t believe she couldn’t tell the difference between the two and accepted that they were the same—she was even ready to kill the real Satoko.

Looks like we won’t be able to learn about Konoha’s past that she shared with Roboko, since Satoko isn’t on that same level of trust Roboko had.

Satoko’s goofy acts were hilarious, while Roboko’s interactions with Konoha were wholesome. The episode carried many emotions, from romance to comedy to loss. With Roboko’s death, it brought out a deeply shattered emotion.

this episode just kinda made me really sad. i liked the growing romance between satoko and konoha, and its really sad to see see konoha basically completely throw out satoko like that. Like i'm kinda just depressed now :(

Hilarious episode but It's kinda sad that Konoha thinks of Satoko so little that she just happily excepts the fact Satoko was replaced by a robot version.

Hilarious :D I guess we shouldn't be surprised Konoha can relate to a robot better than a human since she is a killing machine, but the fake melodrama between her and Roboko just took it to the next level. Yeah I felt the same way as Marin I was feeling sorry for Satoko, her feelings are so one sided. Too bad she didn't stay long enough to watch Konoha spill her guts, I guess her mysterious past will remain intact. Love the way Roboko relaced Satoko in the ED. LOL

@Aversa

Even if all 240 killed a person a day for a year that's less than 90,000, in a city of @ 40 million that's nothing especially when they are being replaced by country bumpkin ninjas moving in from the boonies.

The much more competent Roboko rolls around, and Satoko goes into the trash yet again. Konoha really does only see people as utility. Not yet sure what to think of the scientist assassin Marin, other than being the one antagonist who didn't get clapped instantly. Her stalker obsession with Konoha means we're on our way to a harem, at least.

Along with the characterization this episode delivered, I also loved the shots that were drawn in the retro anime art style. Very nice visuals out of this series so far.

The chemistry between Konoha and Roboko is becoming good, so I thought maybe Satoko has a chance, but the last scene broke it, and their relationship went back to zero. btw, the blanket scene was my favorite.

Hilarious scenario, but this episode was pretty fucked up and I’m really starting to think less of Konoha and this ship in general. Satoko was basically in the cuck chair this week as Konoha got close to a robot version of her.. The fact Konoha thinks so little of Satoko that a literal robot could come in and take her place is insane

At first I thought it was a bit, but she genuinely didn’t see a difference between the two of them and even picked Roboko over Satoko… that on top of taking Satoko’s paycheck a few weeks ago and calling her a freeloader last week have soured her on me. I hope she grows as a person soon because it’s really making me dislike her

Satoko turning Roboko into leaves was actually kinda dark.. Given Roboko is in the key visual, I’d imagine Marin will make another one(maybe this time more loyal to her lol) since she’s just trying to get closer to Konoha. I really wanna know what Konoha told Roboko about her past!! We’ve never seen her that emotional when someone died before.

Funny but kinda hard to watch ep

Konoha must've known that the fake Satoko was a robot but apparently she didn't care, only that the robot provided at least the same amount of benefits as the real one plus a bit more such as the ability to fly, ouch. Regarding Marin, since she made the robot I don't see why she couldn't make another one and maybe she will but regardless it's clear that she is talented (and obsessed over Konoha).

It's the best episode of the best show of the season, yet for some reason the score is only 7.37 on MAL....

This could technically count as NTR ngl

I have a feeling that she knew all along. She just picked the better version.

Roboko > human Satoko in every way, but the real robot was Konoha, who became human and can now feel genuine emotions thanks to Roboko.

That was peak.

This episode really suprised me. It is my favourite by a large margin. I love how cruel the show treated both Satoko and Konoha. Replacing Satoko with Roboko in the ED was the cherry on top.

P.S: Tomboy ninja in the next episode confirmed.

Y'know this episode is how every shaft show used to look like not just when a new monogatari seasons comes by.

Like this episode changing art styles, adding real images for whatever reason, making/adjusting the ED/OP etc...

This definitely my favourite episode of this series so far. Marin is pretty amusing herself being a mad scientist assassin, but her creation, Roboko, stole the show for me.

Admittedly, I do feel pretty bad for the real Satoko in how she got shafted (No pun intended!) by Konoha in favour of Roboko, but seeing her rage in anger at how Konoha got along with Roboko far better than herself was too hilarious! XD

Unfortunately, good times don't always last and Satoko figured out that her abilities worked on Roboko and, in a blink of an eye, she was no more. It left a sombre feeling for the rest of the episode as Konoha had to accept that Satoko was the real Satoko and things have now, for better or worse, gone back to normal. Still, you can see how sadden she was about losing Roboko.

We did get a bonus in seeing Roboko replacing Satoko for the ED animation, which was a really nice touch. On a production value standpoint, this episode was fantastic in how Shaft switched between normal HD definition and the old style aspect ratios and retro artstyle many times. I hope they keep doing this in future episodes! =D

"No clue. I make it all on vibes."

"You're warm, like a charging phone."

Wow, Sakato got motivated enough to kill Roboko.

No mention yet of the catgirl ninja assassin? Have we already become that jaded about the one scene ninja girls?

What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway).

And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea).

I am actually incredibly outraged at this episode. IT WAS TERRIBLE! It took us out of the flow of the series for an absolutely ridiculous episode where for some unknown reason, Konoha is not able to tell the difference between human and robot. I really hope this storyline doesn’t continue because I would definitely drop the series over it (despite the fact that I’ve been enjoying it up to this episode).

Satoko is very very innocent... that she mercilessly k!lled Roboko without hesitation as soon as she realized it's not a living being.
And this is Satoko's first k!ll count, the one that Konoha first opened her heart to...

I hope Robo-satoko makes another appearance. She became an actual character, it was kind of wholesome.

Marin was charming enough. Please don't kill her...

The character animations are on point, and the direction is always interesting. I'd like to see more of the 90s animation, please.

That sure was a creative way of napping someone. Guess the war to surge up the rankings is pretty real. I love how the ep keeps switching styles to how the old ninja anime used to be like. Marin sure created quite the robot. Satoko sure adapted to the new change in living conditions pretty easily. Looks like Konoha really bonded with Roboko. Wish there was a better way of ending that though.

So that's what NTR feels like.

I know it's just a comedy, but this episode made me feel kind of terrible. Satoko having to watch how Konoha is opening up to Roboko in ways she never did to her, Satoko being replaced and pushed away, Satoko killing Roboko out of despair over the situation and making Konoha feel sad...

After watching this episode I want to hate Konoha. She really didn't care about Satoko as a person and choose the robo laser that erases everything over her leaf ability 😭

This episode was so stupid but I loved it.

Konoha for sure knew that Roboko was not the real Satoko, looks like Konoha doesn’t care much about Satoko. But at the same time, did she ACTUALLY not notice they were not the same? Satoko turning Roboko into leaves took a dark turn. Literally wasn't expecting that but... okay. The relationship Konoha and Satoko built over the past 4 episodes can be thrown out the window, were back to square one.

Also, what the hell was that preview at the end?

What a hilarious episode, but honestly, I feel conflicted. On one hand, it was ridiculously funny how Konoha didn't even notice that Satoko had been replaced (even in the ED! 😂), but at the same time, I felt bad for Satoko-almost like I was enjoying watching an NTR scenario unfold. I feel dirty.

A shame about Roboko's death, and even more so about how naive Satoko is, still wanting to fix her toxic relationship with Konoha. Honestly, Konoha rocks that something bad happened to her because of the inhuman: not only she didn't realize that Satoko had replaced her, but she directly preferred to be with Roboko, they even had better Yuri moment 😅🥹. Of course, Roboko was nothing more than a robot designed to learn and prioritize Konoha's happiness. Satoko, on the other hand, really wants to grow and experiment, like looking for work.

F for Roboko, and F for Satoko's heart-Konoha doesn't deserve them.
