I recently made fun of someone on a MAL forum for watching 366 episodes of Bleach. I'm sorry :(.

But how do people watch such long continuous shows?
I have watched shows which were divided in seasons, so it felt easier to complete each season.

Inital D was 87 episodes over 5 seasons.

Natsume Yuujinchou was 74 episodes over 6 seasons.

I haven't finished JoJo's Bizarre Adventure yet, but I've seen 95 episodes so far (currently at part 4).

The Monogatari series had 88 episodes.

How does anyone go over a hundred episodes without getting bored, or without the series being divided into seasons.

Usually I just watch them the same way I watch any other anime. There's some long shows that I've taken breaks from, like Monogatari and LoGH, and there's also Gintama that I watch weekly even though it's done airing.

As someone who has seen naruto, one piece, bleach, dragon ball, hxh its not hard to watch. Id say db and bleach can be a boring to watch and parts for the show, due to how the arcs are constructed, and linked together. For naruto and one peice, there is pretty much one story divided into arcs. Each arc expands the world, mystery etc. When watching the shows, it takes you on a journey. Bleach wasnt quite like this, as despite how good the soul society arc was, the stuff expanded onto it, removed all mystery and the journey was essentially completed

I just gotta really love it tbh, Detective Conan made it for me easy cuz I loved it and the farther you get to you kinda start to get attached and feel accomplished! Either that or I'd watch with a friend/ my bf if they were up for it.

I hate to admit this too but to get through a long series I may even resort to watching a react channel, that's what I'm doing with Yuu Yuu Hakushou. It's good but some series are more fun with other people, that's how I feel.
No watch list sig cuz "You watch anime in 3 days or 3 months! Such is the proper way!"

If you're interested about that long series, even hundreds episodes are nothing and no more than just a number.

I never really cared about how many episodes are there in a series, as long as it keeps me interested I'd keep watching :)

Long anime can also be divided. One Piece follows an arc system so watch until an arc you want to then pause. It mainly depends on having the time, interest, and motivation to watch a long series. Sometimes long anime like One Piece or Naruto just hook you into their worlds and doesn't let you stop watching. But if you don't have time or patience then it'll feel like a chore rather than a joyful experience.

You can still treat long-running series in a similar way and take breaks in-between arcs or something. Most long-running shows can be divided.

I mean how is watching 100 episodes split into different seasons easier than watching 100 episode show?
It's still the same number of episodes

I started my anime career with long series such as One Piece and Dragon Ball so it's not hard for me to watch anime that has over 100, 200 episodes, or even more.

For me there's no need for rush. It's ok for me to only watch 2-5 episodes per week, the only thing that is hindering process is when I stop having a watching routine. Routine is the key to tackle big series.

Easy, if you find a long series you truly ENJOY, time is of no concern and it feels like minutes and hours just fly by.

Thought I'd hate it, but I actually binged the entirety of My Hero in around a week

I used to watch long series in straight up long binges during the peak of quarantine or throughout many years like Naruto. Nowadays its a bit hard for me to watch a long series unless its something thats continuing.

Is not all that complicated. What is the point of an anime being broken into seasons if you watch them consecutively anyway? Long-running anime are broken into arcs, just like the manga. Seasons are just arcs. So...
You don't get bored, because an anime would get to 700 episodes if it wasn't interesting.
In my case, I watched anime for 15 years. When I started both Naruto and Bleach were ongoing, so I caught up (it wasn't much... Naruto had like 270 episodes, while Bleach may have had maybe 180... I still remember when Fairy Tail started U.U - it was pretty weekly for me. Anyway, I rewatched all except Bleach. Is not all that complicated. With Naruto for example, with 4-5 episodes a day, you are done in like 3 months. 5 episodes is basically a little over an hour and a half - the length of a movie. Also, Bleach has more like 260 episodes, as it has quite a lot of fillers. Naruto is the same, only about 130-140 of the 220 of the first part are fillers. And for Shippuden, half of it is fillers too.

When i watch anime, i watch a few episodes of a short series and a few episodes of a long series in a day. Depending on the show, i either watch a certain number of episodes or a certain number of segments. Like Yugioh, i watch one duel a day, then move on to a short series. If a series hasn't got "Segments", i'll watch 4 episodes a day.

If there are arcs in the series I just divide it by that and try to finish it within the week if I'm in the mood

If not I just try to watch and If I'm not in the mood I take a week break from watching

"But with a twist ending like this,
I think we can all agree this ended up
being a very interesting mystery

Pace yourself and take breaks for a bit. I mean... if YOU REALLY LIKE IT. That's how. Otherwise yes, "Burnout" will occur.

I would typically only watch a certain number of episodes a day of said series so I'm not burning myself out seeing it through the day and balance things out by watching the latest episodes of any current series that is ongoing. Will admit though that I haven't watched any 100+ episode series in quite a while, as the last one I dabbled into and completed was the 2011 remake of Hunter x Hunter, which took me two months to complete.

I'm watching Detective Conan, it's ongoing with 1000+ episodes, I'm currently on ep 415, I just keep it as a low priority anime, my first preference goes to seasonals and if I'm caught up with them I need something else to watch which is what I do with all non-seasonal anime, nothing special.

I'd be lying if I say I don't when I have LOGH and Galaxy Express 999 in my favorites, but I really don't unless I can guarantee the series' quality is sustained thoroughly to an extent. I find it easier to tolerate occasional letdowns that way.

Just keep binging it till finished if you really enjoy watching it and take a break if you ever feel tired of binging.

Normally just find the episodes and watch them, I don't get what's difficult in it, the only difference is that long series will take longer time.

I am currently watching glass mask with 50 episode if that is considered long.

It depends if u like that anime very much u would watch it non stop and crave for more (eg - I remember my days of watching naruto non stop ignoring sleep and food for months). if u hate it then it would be a pain in the ass (I had to try multiple time just to complete measly 48 episode of jojo s2 after which I entirely dropped the anime entirely)

As a binge watcher I have multiple experience of trying to watch long anime all together. both good and bad experience (successful and unsuccessful)

I think you watch it with breaks. Like I watch 3 to 6 episode of the long series in a day and then after an arc finishes or after like 30-50 episodes, I take a break to watch other animes, then continue again from where I left off.
If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

One out of two ways, I'm aware of.
1st you binge the thing in two months. Not distracting yourself with other anime. With the real danger of burning out.

2nd you watch it in portions. I'll be watching "Shaman King 2021". Watching 20+ episodes soon and finishing the rest when the anime finishes airing.
