| There are a lot of character traits like funny, smart, kind, Selfish etc. But which character trait do you dislike the most? For me it would be perversion. I hate characters that are perverted, it's almost impossible for me to like a perverted character. |

| I really dislike the Mary Sue & Gary Stu characters. The selfless, kind, “always do good no matter what” traits are very boring to me and there isn’t anything unique you can do with these traits alone. A lot of the time, these characters will also come off as annoying at points. Suzaku from Code Geass is my biggest example of one of these characters that I really dislike. To be fair, I think any character defined by one trait can be annoying or boring. Good written characters have multiple traits that can be delved into and discussed. |

| I don't like loner characters. Characters who think they're just "too angsty to have friends" or they're so focused on this one goal that they ignore everything and everyone else. Bonus points if that goal is to kill someone. I know that (in most cases) it's a character flaw that they're supposed to work past, but it is such an unenjoyable time getting there. This kind of character needs a good supporting cast to carry the show. |

| I hate most -dere types actually because most of them feel really one note to me.Take kuudere’s for example,they are characters with a cold exterior that when broken are extremely vulnerable which is where their main appeal comes from.This means that most of the times,they are pretty emotionless which is not really interesting to watch.At times I feel like there is all there is to characters assigned with archetypes like that.I don’t really care for characters that defined by all but one gimmick. |

| Pacifism. Because with pacifism comes hypocrisy and with hypocrisy comes mediocrity. Honestly, it's not that pacifism is bad in general nor do I have any problems with it but with the sheer amount of shitty pacifist protagonists that goes against the very nature of the plot truly irks me. At least there are some exceptional ones like Madoka but at the top my head, she's really the only one that I can think of. |

| I was going to say characters that turn a dangerous and pathological combination of low self-esteem and self-righteousness (if you don't think these things mesh, then I got two words for you -- clinical narcissism) into fantastic power and never seem to face any consequence for their actions, whether it's due to Dragon Balls, Return by Death, incredible Nine Tails healing, or just plot armor... These characters piss me off. They're like the hypocritical vegan activists in real life. But then I thought of characters like the main character of Mirai no Nikki or Aku no Hana, just whiny characters with a plum perpetually stuck in their throat, that allow bad things to happen to them or the people around them because they'd rather cry than to communicate about basic shit. And yep, this takes the cake for sure. |

| I hate pathetic characters, like how Light turned out in the last ep's of Death Note. Something else I hate, is characters that think they are something they are not. Like the main character from Revisions, he somehow got the idë that he is a superhero and can do everything. But he just a normal human with no superpowers. This two characters trait is horrible and makes me more or less start hating the show. |

| Whiny characters and mary sue characters. Whiny characters are tolerable enough in manga but oh god they get grating when audio is added into the mix. Zenitsu is literally the only reason kimetsu no yaiba isn't in my top 10. Mary sue characters, to me at least, are the most boring and overdone archetype in the history of anything ever. For me at least, a character has to have some sort of flaw and personality to make them the least bit interesting so a character that just does good things because they are a "good person" and are so naturally powerful and skilled at everything that the weight of every conflict is obliterated under the weight of their plot armor does absolutely nothing for me. It's the main reason why I've never really got on with isekai. |

| My least favorite character trait is playing into the power fantasy of the MC by showing him (almost never a female MC in these cases) limitless admiration, affection, and support. It's really frustrating for me to see this wooden female love interest say the MC's name 20 times in an episode where she has maybe 1 or 2 other lines of dialogue. The two characters who embody this for me are incredibly popular, though, so I guess a lotta people like it. |
| Shy and embarrased are so lame. No one fucking gets embarrased and blushes and goes ape shit just rubbing against a womans flesh or any of the shit that happens in the anime. That shit pisses me off so much. It is even worse when the mc is an actual adult. You would think they would grow out of that shit. Also tsunderes suck to. |

| Most of the traits people have listed here I'm actually completely fine with so long as the character that has them is likable since for me it's more about the individual character than the trait itself. Take the pervy trait for example. Someone mentioned that little bunch of grapes Mineta. He's the perfect example of a pervy character done wrong in my opinion. Every time the guy comes on I know he's going to something pervy, but he does it in a way that feels more creepy than funny. Then again his character design doesn't really help with that. Now take someone like Tomoki from Sora no Otoshimono. That guys also a huge perv, probably even more so than Mineta,but the difference here is that Tomoki is actually entertaining to watch. The guy almost sang an entire song dedicated to his nipples for fucks sake. Now look at other pervy characters like Jiraiya, Master Roshi, and even Meliodas. They're all much more interesting and entertaining than a character like Mineta, yet they're all perverts in some way. And I could easily name off several more pervy characters that are actually fun to watch. |

| Intelligent characters who aren't really believably intelligent but their proof of intelligence like plans and whatnot are riddled with convenience and contrivances. Doesn't feel like they're actually smart, it feels like they're just super lucky, or everyone else is incredibly dumb. I wanted more smart protagonists after watching and loving FMA and Death Note back in high school but then Lelouch is what I got, and I hated him even when I loved Code Geass to death. |
