for my profile on there, I didn't know it was case sensitive and I didn't capitalize the "M" and it would be nice if it were to be a capital "M". http://www.mal-badges.net/users/mizore |

Hi there! :) First of all, I would like to thank you for creating Mal-Badges. It's super awesome and I'm really impressed with this website you created! :D Now, I'm here to report something I've noticed. It could be a minor bug/error or whatever. It's related with the experience points gained from one of the thresholds. I recently completed a total of 30 "Vampire" and "Martial Arts" anime. You can see my badges here. :) Upon reaching 30 of each, I should receive 250 xp in return. OK, before I updated my Mal-Badges, I had 91450 xp. After reaching 30 "Martial Arts" anime, I updated my Mal-Badges and, instead, gained a total of 91600. That would mean that I only received 150 xp instead of 250 xp. I just would like to ask if you could kindly check the coding for the threshold and you might have encoded 150 instead of 250 where it originally says 250 in the actual threshold. There might have been just a small error. This happened the first time when I reached 30 "Vampire" anime and now the same thing happened when I reached 30 "Martial Arts" anime. I might be the only one who has noticed this. I'm terribly sorry for the trouble I'm causing right now. >_< I still would like to express my gratitude once again for creating the Mal-Badges website and thanks for all your hard work! :) Peace! |

Hi, Thanks for your return ! It's normal because when you have completed 20 "martial arts" anime you receive 100 xp and when you completed 30 you receive 250 xp but 'it's not 250 new xp. It's the xp you have for this badge. So it's normal you have 150 more xp after the update (350 - 200 = 150 ). But maybe it's unclear ? Give me a feedback if you think it's need to be change :) Thanks ! |

Hello @Jikan_ :) Thank you for responding! :D I'm now beginning to understand the setup. So what's displayed from the screenshot was actually the total xp. The difference between the previous level and the next level is the actual xp that we earn through ranking up. I see now. It was simply a misunderstanding from my part. :) Just my opinion, but maybe you could change the [Xp value] to [Xp earned]? That way, it could display the different Xp accurately in this sequence? Required: 10, 20, 30, 50, 75, 100 Xp earned: 50, 50, 150, 250, 500, 500 Or if my suggestion sounds confusing, you could also keep everything as it is without changing anything. :) |

Hi @LunyRed, I will take a look when I have time :) To be honest, i prefer your idea with the "xp earned". It was logical in my head but it's always the case when you make something XD I will keep it in mind but they are things I want to do before when I have time xD Thanks for your feedback, it's really important for me and I'm always happy when I see pepoles use my website so... Thanks :) Have a nice day ! |

The "Rewatcher" badge doesn't work for me and I can't seem to obtain it even though I've rewatched some anime. :/ So how does it work? Does the re-watched anime have to actively take place in the watching list? (e.g. "Re-watching at 4/13") All of the anime I've re-watched in the past were all on TV before MAL was even created, so I've only listed down in my completed anime the number of times I've re-watched certain anime. I'm confused about this that's why I'm asking here. :s |

It's look like the myanmielist.net api don't give me the correct value for that depending of the user. But some user have a value so I don't really understand now. Maybe it's take some time or it don't work. I will look in details and delete the badges if I can get the correct value from myanimelist.net |

It'd be a shame to lose a badge like this since I like the idea of a "Re-watcher" badge too. Yeah, I've also noticed that this badge worked for certain users as seen here. I wish it would have worked for me too, as I'd love to collect all the badges and xp I could get. xD |

Hello again! My profile picture won't show up anymore in Mal-Badges. Tried updating my mal-badges profile but it still didn't work. :/ I doubt it's a problem with my browser too. Tried reloading/updating the page in both Firefox and Chrome but still nothing happened. Does the image validation have something to do with this? I can't see most of the other users' profile pictures either. Only a handful of their profile pictures show up. :s |

@Jikan_ Ah, you're right. My profile pic in Mal-badges has been validated now, thank goodness! :D Assuming that I switched my profile picture with a new one. (Not ecchi, of course) Will it take a while for Mal-badges to validate my pic again? It surely did take a lot of time to validate my pic, btw. Probably over 10 hours or something. Either way, glad that it's been resolved. :) And more users have their profile pics showing up now in the site too! |

Hi, If you change your picture on myanimelist.net when you profile on mal-badges is update you will need to wait I validate it. Actually it need a lot of time because I need to validate all ( 2800 ) picture but after this it will be only new user and pepole who change picutre so it will be faster. I will look to make an automatic validation but actually with christmas I can't xP One more thing to do xD Bye :) |

It sure is a lot of work to validate all pictures manually. ^^' Well I hope you could figure out something for an automatic validation. Christmas is a very busy time of the year and even I have too many stuff to do for the Holidays. xP I'm thinking of uploading a new profile picture someday and if it doesn't show up in Mal-badges, I'm gonna have to ask for manual validation. ^^' Thank you as always for your hard work and thanks as well for all the new updates you've applied to the site! :) |

Hmmm.. Would it be possible to simply request for validation of my new profile picture? Mal-badges keeps showing my previous profile picture right about now but not the new one. Take your time! You might still be busy with the Holidays. :) Thank you! |

Hi, this isn't really an issue, just more of a question. On the site when you embed:[center] [img]http://www.mal-badges.net/users/purplepinapples/badge[/img] I'm level [img]http://www.mal-badges.net/users/purplepinapples/level[/img] on [url=http://www.mal-badges.net "newwindow"]mal-badges[/url]. View my [url=http://www.mal-badges.net/users/purplepinapples "newwindow"]badges[/url]. [/center] the urls have "newwindow" in them. Is this something that MAL supports? I'm aware this is a feature on a lot of BBCode parsers, but I've never seen anything about it on MAL. |

Hi there! This is something that I've noticed a couple of days ago and I'm just curious about the sudden change. The values for xp were originally displayed in full digits like this: However, the numbers are now abbreviated into units right here. It looks like the values are now displayed in abbreviated form starting at 5 digits (10000 and above will be abbreviated into 10K immediately). Because of the abbreviation, the numbers are now also rounded off to the nearest number. In this case, we can't see the exact value of our xp and the only way to find it out is to check our rank from the rankings page so we could see the full exact value. Any reason for the changes? And you don't need to answer immediately if you're busy. ^^' Take your time! I can always wait for a response. And thank you for your hard work! |

Wow, that's incredible! Amazing work! :D Not only do the numbers display completely now, but I can also see my new updated profile picture in it! Looks great! And now only the home page displays the huge numbers in abbreviated form, which looks more appropriate. I'd like to thank you once again for all your hard work! ^^ __________________ So sorry for troubling you about this when you probably are busy atm, but if you've got some extra free time........there's a suggestion I posted a while back which I would love to see approved if it's OK with you. It's not about adding a new feature for mal-badges. It's just something minor. It's simply about re-adjusting the xp earned for both OVA Fan and Special Fan. If possible, please change their values so they'd become similar with TV Fan and Movie Fan. For example, I'm currently at rank 6 of Special Fan and once I do reach rank 7 which requires 500 Specials, I would be rewarded with only 1000 xp. It feels like too little of a reward especially for everybody else who are grinding it. ^^' In contrast with Movie Fan, reaching 500 movies will earn me 2500 xp at rank 7. Now that feels very rewarding. So yeah, if the xp for OVA Fan and Special Fan can be re-adjusted exactly the same as in TV Fan and Movie Fan, then that would the excellent! I'm not going to bug you with any other suggestions after this. :P Yeah, once again I'm so sorry for all the troubles. |

Recently, I noticed some login changes in this site stating that some changes were being done to MAL's API so a mass password reset took place and the site's API was currently disabled. I don't know any other further details, and it seems that they'll be disabling the API indefinitely. Mal-badges has been affected since it cannot retrieve the data from our user profiles. Updating our Mal-badges profile will just give you a "Whoops, looks like something went wrong." message. This is all from what I've observed after the mass password reset incident. Looks like Mal-badges will be unavailable until MAL resolves this issue. :/ |

Not sure if related, but I have noticed that there is a drop by about 25 or more people from yesterday. My rank dropped a entire page, and the last page was almost full, and now there is only 1 person left on the previous page. yeah, seems to be losing on a progressive amount, just rechecked and 2 more people vanished in last 5-10 mins. |

A user and his badges are added when his name are enter on the home page. They are no link between myanimelist.net login and mal-badges. (Still not sure if I understand you) Thats what I thought, was just wondering as routinly 40 people a day being added seems alot for probably most of that being people going through the sites user list and adding them manually, and would seem surprising for 40 people to find the site a day so was just curious :> Also how often are users updated on the site? Are users updated every few days automaticly, or does it rely on people clicking, "Update now" ? |

I absolutely love mal-badges. But ever since the mal admin went and fixed the security in the website from scratch, I haven't been able to use mal-badges at all - I keep getting "something went wrong" and it says I have 0xp and 0badges even though my last update I was at lvl 18. Unsure if this is a result of the system reboot. |

It keeps saying "Whoops, looks like something went wrong" when I try to update it and says I have 0 xp and 0 badges even though I'm at level 19. |

Your friends' list doesn't show, for one thing. I also think MAL Graph has an advantage by not being entirely reliant on third-party like Badges and many others. I don't know how it works, though. |

I have changed my username a month ago and I want to keep this new username permanently. Mal-badges recognizes my new username as a "new profile", that's why my profile picture won't show up in Mal-badges. I would like to ask for my profile picture to be verified so that it would show up in the site. Many thanks in advance! |

The over all number of finished anime isn't right. It includes every anime started, drops, on-holds, and currently watched shows. However the yearly badges seems to be right. The badges related to the length of the shows also seems to be right. Another bug is that the episode count excludes rewatches, though it's not a recent one. |

Hi, you are right for the episode counter I will look about it. Concerning the rewatch I can't do anything cause my animelist doesn't give me the informations :/ So for the moment I don't count rewatch. Thanks :) |
