| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- It was an interesting episode. I recently read the manga so this was refreshing to watch again. Kaito makes his presence well known while also getting into some funny moments like with the 'fish' at the end there. It was pretty much a setup of the premise so I expect the plot to expand a bit soon. The artwork is decent imo and also has a general good background set up. I also liked the ED song too that was played so that's a keeper. |

| Not liking bad internet connection for stealing the fun of livestreaming that I had to watch raw. It's slightly like special that aired in Detective Conan timeslot (previous ver.), as I heard. Though it does show more detail of Kaito and his father, and shows his mother. More detail after that "first mission". OP in the middle. Nice song. ED is cool. |

| So fucking glad this got a series. I got sick of him making cameos and it should had been Lupin III vs Kaito Kid. Even though Lupin III is superior. |

| Kaito in general, is a pretty cool guy anyways. But did he really have to follow his dad's footsteps as the Kaitou Kid who steals valuable stuffs from around the country? I guess this was necessary to build the plot of this show. What intrigued me a little was that there seems to be another Kaitou Kid doing the same sorts of stuff.. O.o That was one quirky basement Kaitou's dad had set up for him. Peep that classy jukebox. Dad must've been quite a stylish person! A few good magic tricks in the confrontation between that old man and Kaito. Liked how quick on the draw Kaito was. Much impressive! End scene with Aoko trying to force Kaito to eat that fish was pretty funny. I kinda envy guys with female osananajimi. It's like they already have a girlfriend waiting for them in line. *Sigh.. Decent episode. Animation is good too, but dat nose from sideways bothers me a little. XD |

| Fast paced, retro feel, charming and energetic characters, cool magic tricks, doesn't take itself seriously at all. It's like Lupin III but with a plot, how can I not love that? Kaito is more suave than Lupin though.. while Lupin is more perverted and cool. All in all, this is just crazy good fun. Can't wait for more. |

| Heh, this gives me an oldschool type of vibe. I always loved magician characters (Mysterio was my favorite Spider Man villain) so I think I will like this as well. |

| I liked that it started from the beginning, but I still like the previous art style more. Anyway more KID is always a good thing. I wonder who was the third KID'd silhouette, is it really his father? |

It's not so bad choice, since after this real plot starts (stealing stones to get pandora before bad guys), not just random thiefs like before, but I'll miss other chapters.... I hope that they'll make them too, just a bit different than ovas. |

| Absolutely love it. I'm very glad to finally see more Kaito Kid because his appearances in Detective Conan are usually quite far in-between so this is definitely nice to watch. As a fan, I can't help but love it. Oh and... Taku Iwasaki's music. Simply glorious. |

| I really love Magic Kaito but this first episode really disappointed me. Considering the previous was a special, it would be normal for the animation quality to go down a bit, but it seems like they took that a bit too far. It also feels so cliche now, but a lot of details were explained at least. I finally know where the heck Kaito gets his paraglider. |

| Thanks, A-1. You did this pretty well. I really like the lens flares and bokeh city lights. Do people serious expect like Production IG/Madhouse level? lul As a Conan/Kaito fan, I'm really satisfied with this even though I pretty much know what's going to happen for these first few episodes unless they add more new material. But yeah, the comedy is gold as before and I'm really hyped for the next episode. |

| Meh... It's fine to have him use all those tricks but if you don't explain them, then it's just plain actual magic. I hope the tricks get more interesting, if not I'll be dropping this in two or so episodes. |
| Not a bad start. I liked how they expanded on Toichi's death, and I'm curious as to who that other Kaitou was. However, young Kaito's voice was annoying and the noses are pretty weird from side view. On a side note, it looks like the DC cameos have already begun! (Check out the background audience after Toichi dies.) |

| So it was just a remake of the DC special. I like the animation style except for Kaitou's face. Overall, it was ok, but the comedy has been reduced and the first version had a more dramatic beginning scene |

| Reminded of D.N.Angel, but of course Kaito came out first. Aoka and Kaito's interactions were quite enjoyable! Kaito with all his magic. The mystery about his dad! The fish thing in the end ^^ It was still moving though :O I should get to special by next weekend! Seems enjoyable enough. |
