| The revenge begins now! Well, at least his journey does...for Shiki that is. More info dump this episode about blood, Oni, and an academy to get him ready to set forth on that path. Shiki definitely has a lot of work to do, that's for sure. Naito might be someone he can trust in for now but he should watch out for everything around him. |

| It’s honestly just a worse and more boring ripoff of AoEx… School setup, rowdy MC, rowdy class, demon powers, etc. And I don’t know what it is this season with all these crappy shounen getting the best OPs and EDs, like Kaijuu and Gachiakuta with their OPs, and now this one wasting a BAND-MAID ED… Absolute banger, sadly. |

| I have to say, Mudano, with Hiroshi's voice, just seems like a really cool character. The powerful teacher giving the student a lesson will always be a cool trope. I think this episode did a really good job at setting up what the anime is going to be about, explaining more about the Oni's blood and how it works, how there's actually a "school" to train Oni to fight Momotarou agency, and Mudano is one of the people that gets to pick up people that wake up their Oni powers and enroll them in school to train them. However, he only trains those that will be capable to control their Oni blood, which didn't seem to be Shiki's case, since he went into berserk mode right away, and a hothead like him hardly can control his blood (I really liked the demonstration of what goes inside their minds, by Mudano, it really was funny), but somehow he did it, so he might be better than what Mudano expected. The battle between the 2, despite the CGI, that actually looks cool (just like in episode 1), was really well executed honestly. In the end, we got the introduction of the rest of Shiki's class, and they seem quite different from each other, which is always good, since it would be a shame if the 5 colleagues acted all as 1 person. I felt bad for the green haired one, that ripped a page from its book to help Shiki, and he just refused to use that paper. Also, it seems Shiki already found its rival in the academy (that guy with the mask, that, yes, is that Shounen typical cold guy that thinks he's way stronger than others, it's honestly giving Sasuke vibes, and I don't complain). That tag game doesn't seem like it's going to go so well... Mudano isn't going to be easy on them, that's for sure. Overall, I'm really liking this anime, as I said, it has a lot of very typical shounen elements, almost as a "mix" of them, but it's working really well, and I'm really excited to see how this anime will turn out, it has the potential honestly. I wonder if this Oni organization has its own motives besides killing the Momotaro agency. AND THE OPENING IS SO GOOD. I cannot stop bopping my head while hearing the song, The Oral Cigarettes never disappoint, it's certainly my favorite opening of the season, and of the year so far. Also, the ending was actually kinda cute, with the characters dancing to the ending theme, that really slaps too! Finally we got the ending, and it was worth it, as I said, the song fits the vibe of the anime, and I didn't know about the band, but they seem really cool. As a side note, it seems the anime is going to have some fan service, as seen by the female character designs, which, well, at this point is just typical for your Shounen. Excited for the next episode! Edit: Forgot to mention, but Mudano's ring reminded me a lot of Annie's ring from Attack on Titan |

| Yeah, if the whole series was as fire as the OP and ED we would be eating good. I'm like a battle shounen maniac who gobbles up a trope fest as quickly as a starving hyena a zebra cadaver. This doesn't have me sold yet, but I warm up to it. Dumbass logic aka instinct ftw. I liked the part where it was explained how they control their blood, that was hilariously different. Mudano is not Kakashi xD Fr, the test is different, I yet had to think of the bell test with Team 7. Let's see what the other students can do. This should be fun. |

| Now we go to a typical school setting in which Shiki is in a classroom with other Oni and Naito as their teacher. Shiki has a long way to go to control his Oni powers, so let's see if he can gain control while he tries to get along with his classmates. |

| 1. A vague orientation that the MC arbitrarily passes even though he realistically should have failed. 2. An introduction to the side characters that fit all of the common personality traits: Shy girl, shy guy, more outgoing tomboyish girl, nerdy guy, another hothead like the MC, and the quiet type with an attitude problem that butts heads with the MC. 3. A test to see and evaluate what these characters can do, that gives us the chance to see their abilities, with failure being met with expulsion but we know none of them will actually be expelled. So yeah, it's tropey as hell but fuck it, I can still find enjoyment in something like this even if I've seen it done elsewhere. Borrowing elements of other shounen is the most shounen thing ever, and it's hard, or arguably impossible, to be 100% original these days. I look forward to seeing what Shiki's classmates are capable of. |

| I dunno, at least the op and ed were pretty competently made, but as for the rest of the show so far... well I guess it is what it is. Production not exactly giving the show a solid chance as is, and the source material isn't exactly about to carry in spite of bad production. |
| This little shit is your typical shounen protagonist and so he is hella annoying. On that strength alone I'd probably drop this, but we've just been introduced to the rest of the cast and they will be reason if I stay or if I go. |

| More than a little trashy, buuuut the powers look cool in the opening. Give this at least one more to see if it can manage mindless fun. The teacher and main will have to talk less to start. |

| I don't mind generic as hell battle shounens but that CGI. If they at least kept it to the blood effects I probably wouldn't mind as much but seeing the characters regularly go full CG is quite off putting, even for moments that don't even require much movement or animation. |

| I don't mind a battle shounen with a generic setup, however this lacks the charisma and production quality needed level the playing field. Seriously what is up with those random shots of CGI, so unnecessary and jarring to look at. I'll give it the 3 episode rule, this season is kind of stacked so I'll be quick drop this if things dont get better. |
| I've gotta say, I didn't enjoy this episode much. Law Sensei (already forgot his name) is annoying and gimmicky, the characters (so far) seem pretty one-note, the animation is weird, and overall it feels somewhat uninspired. I'll probably get it a few more episodes to see if it goes anywhere but I'm not feeling hopeful right now (thick thighs were nice though) |
