Ok, sure, but what is it about that that makes eating dog meat morally objectionable? It seems weird to me. People have pet pigs, too, and pet rabbits (but rabbit stew is a very popular dish). Most people have kept fish as kids (and loved them), but they still eat fish and chips. What makes dogs so special? I don't know. Someone who hates it can answer your question better. I personally don't find it gross, i've eaten once, and I grew up knowing some people here eat it so it's not really odd. |

| Ive actually just stopped being a vegetarian a month or so ago so Ive not really gotten the chance to try it out. But honestly most meat is overrated anyway. Generally about 2/3 dishes involving meat didnt taste that great. And no its not disgust, while I never ate meat beforehand in my life I still only was vegetarian for healths sake, as it is advantagous to keep a low calory diet with my lifestyle. So yeah I tried eating frutti di mare on my 2nd day of starting eat and I wasnt disgusted at all, it still tasted like crap tough. Only squid was bearable, but that tasted basically like nothing and was lke chewing on rubber. So yeah I would definetly try dog one day, but Im not expecting it to be great, just like most meat doesnt taste to great. Most meat is okay, but nothing blows my mind, I dont understand how my friends could sing it praises for years that made me think I was missing something exceptional in my life. But honestly its pretty meh. Still going to keep eating meat occasionally as some stuff does taste really good. |

| I thought they ate a special breed of dogs which are exactly used for consumption. Not that I care, I wouldn't eat them. Though I see no difference in Chinese people eating dogs when most of the world eats other animals. They aren't doing this for the pleasure of killing and torturing. |
