THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Ah the despair.. It was a gloomy episode as usual. We the usual action and 'bang'. It also conveyed Heito's past somewhat and his feelings. Thankful of Emiru huh? I didn't think he would of said that. |

Pretty boring episode. Really missing Emiru. Sasame just doesn't cut and and we really need more info on the corpse girl and the characters past when they were kids already. |

The atmosphere of the despair keeps going on... Now Sasame was being necrometalized. Kasane couldn't tell the fact about Argent to Akashi. Heito got his some peace of mind in the Lightless Realm. Akashi was forced to look at Aoshi's memory. Especially, I think the scene of the sex with Kasane destroyed his soul. XD It was a kind of NTR. Aha. And he found out the truth of Argent. Everyone including Iwato and Raika was not connect emotionally each other, even though they have some synchronization of thinking. Their misunderstandings of each other were growing up. It was tragedy. This episode was checking answers of viewers. And I really like this episode because my answers are almost correct. Hahaha. At the same time, it showed their own emotional conflict of them. Furthermore, it showed some jigsaw pieces of the mystery as always. I think the problem of the relation between Kasane and Akashi would be solved a little in the next episode. I don't know whether it would be lost or not. But at least, Akashi can't go ahead unless it was solved. I can't wait for the next. |

Minashi not telling anyone else that Sasame is necrometalized is very eerily similar to Heito and Emiru. I bet when Sasame does become a robot by that time she will come to hate Minashi as well. As far as being envious goes Emiru was jealous of Sasame and Sasame is jealous of corpse girl while Akashi likes Kasane and was NTRed by his brother. Talk about crazy twisted shit. I get all the dark and emo stuff but I wish Emiru was also involved in some way other than being a robot. |

Didn't expect Sasame to start necrometalizing, and she was at the brink of telling Akashi about it. The situation was pretty similar to Emiru's. I just hope the result isn't the same. I can't believe that Isaku helped out Akashi. I guess he does need his help, after all. The Lightless Realm really freaks me out. I knew that they were going to get seperated that easily. Now they are facing two admonitions, lets hope they carry out the mission successfully and bring back the recorder without damaging their psyches too much, given that they have already passed the time limit. |

So yeah I watched this episode after dropping the show last week and I kinda realized why I dropped it: I hate Mari Okada's writing style. I mean, if you look at her body of work it's pretty impressive because she'll do any kind of show it seems. But she just can't seem to shake her romance roots, injecting what she thinks sounds poetic into just about everything she writes. So you get shows like Canaan and this one where characters think some empty words that are supposed to come off as profound and you're just like "okay that was shallow and it doesn't belong here." And her characters are just too bland, man, the female ones especially. So, yeah, this is goodbye again. Manga-ka-san will have to entertain me on Mondays all by its lonesome. |

I bet once Akashi finds out about Sasame's situation, he'll inexplicably start blaming himself about it, even though Sasame had the opportunity but didn't say anything, just like Emiru, because guys are just meant to be mind readers. |

Unlike the other episodes, I actually liked this one. Less over the top Heito is always good. Also, must be really awkward for Akashi to see his brother's memories having sex with Kasane. First person NTR? That's just twisted. Looks like Minashi's going to get a MA-Vess soon. So who's next to necrometalize? |

I can understand why Aoshi would bring Akashi to where he died. But why would Emiru bring Heito to that bear. That was Heito's memories not Emiru? Akashi's emotion/memories manifested an Abomination : 0 Sasame may suffer the same fate as Emiru : 0 |

We have 2 already and the 3rd is leading to Minashi-Sasame plus the ED shows Sasame w/ the mystery girl within the lightless realm. It's all speculation but still... |

Sasame was hiding behind the tree while Corpse girl was singing to Akashi. So is Sasame her sister or just a crazy fangirl who followed the corpse girl around? Feel maybe Sasame has a complex towards her like Akashi does with his brother. Anyone else think Akashi was naive or an idiot when he told Kasane that she wanted him to pilot the argent to be better than his brother and do stuff Aoshi couldn't do. I don't know I thought he thought way too highly of himself. It made me laugh. Sasame seems to interact more with others so I have no idea why she wouldn't just tell Raika that she is necrometalizing. In Emiru's case no one liked her and she kept her distance from them. She couldn't trust Akashi, he was never really that nice to her until later. In Sasame's case yes he is misunderstanding but he was always following her around. Emiru and Aoshi did not lead the argent and Sable to the teddy bear or Aoshi's disappearance place. They reached those places on their own. In Sable's case it was Heito looking for his lost memories while in Akshi's case it was his brother's/argent's memories that were triggered and formed the admonition. I guess Okada thought that would be the way Akashi discovers that argent was made out of Aoshi's mind or whatever. I also felt at the end when Argent buckled its feet and ran away that was done by Aoshi and not Akashi himself. |

In Sasame's case yes he is misunderstanding but he was always following her around. I have a few theories on this 1.) She is panicking and not sure what is going on her mind 2.) It has something to do with what Minashi told her in the rain in the previous epsodes 3.) She know she can't be save 4.) Afraid that Akashi might treat her like Emiru - prior to this, TBH i really don't understand Sasame thought, on whether she have feeling for Akashi, or she has something to do with corpse girl, or she and Minashi got some plan ahead on, she is still zero personality development to me, Yes i do agree, she probably did interact a bit in this episodes but nothing that is related to who shes is and why she behave that way, all we can imply is she just probably interested in Akashi. P/S - Heito is actually quite nice and childish, i know he can be annoying sometimes but he got the reason for all that, and besides, he's a mama boy :/ |

His problem is...he is just wanting terror while everyone wants love from the others. I think he got child abuse by his family, like nyancat2506 said. Umm, his appearance in his childhood seemed to have some bruises. When he crushed the eyes of the guard, he said repeatedly, "Don't smile. You must not smile". I think he was also said like that by his family in the past. Honestly, I think he killed his parents. I guess his twisted personality that is wanting terror instead of love was born in the event that he killed them or an event of the Lightless Realm. juvemema said: Anyone else think Akashi was naive or an idiot when he told Kasane that she wanted him to pilot the argent to be better than his brother and do stuff Aoshi couldn't do. nyancat2506 said: dmrch said: -snip- - Ikr , when i was watching, i was like, No shit ure like reading okada's mind haha Probably, due to Sato Junichi (the director), M3 has a very decent structure. *I don't intent it is interesting or not* Firstly, a first half and a second half have each different events in every episode. If you watch it on TV, you would be able to understand easily that the two halves have completely different atmosphere, separated by TV commercials. And more important structure is, always a first half describes emotions of the characters quietly and a second half describes a battle. It continues from the first episode to Ep 8. Secondly, both halves have main events that can be imagined from the previous episodes. Always new mysteries and new facts are added to those. Thirdly, amounts of the script in every episode are obviously less than ordinary anime of nowadays. Every episode focuses on a minimum advance of the story. And it is causing that a half has only few main events. After Emiru's death of Ep 6, events on the main storyline that could be imagined were the following. (It mainly depended on my thinking way about Okada works) 1. Sasame starts to be necrometalized because she took the shower of the shining dust. 1+. The relation of Sasame and Akashi is described a little. 1++. The relation between Sasame and the Corpse girl are shown a little. 2. The new mecha is made from Emiru 2+. Heito gets that mecha. 2++. Heito fights against something by his mecha. (In the rule of mecha anime, if you get a new one, you should fight by it immediately.) 3. Akashi or someone finds the truth of the mecha. 3+. About the truth, a conflict between Akashi and Kasane happens. 4. Sasame dies or not. 5. About Emiru's death, a conflict between Akashi and Heito happens. And I thought a little of the past of them, Minashi's intention and the roles of Maamu, Raika and Iwato would be added to those. Then, I tried to putting those in order. Basically, I did it with thinking the limit of one episode should be under an amount of 65 pages script. Ep 7: fh 1+, 1++ / sh 2, 2+ Ep 8: fh 1 / sh 5, 2++ Ep 9: fh 3, 3+ / sh 4 Ep 10: (The new arc will begin. Iwato and Raika will be focused on.) I predicted it by the above thought. Now I feel necessity of changing some prediction because the new facts and the new mystery of Ep 7 and Ep 8 were heavier than my expect. |

Get mad every time I see Emiru in the OP. Sasame next robot, unless corpse is defeated; probably won't be. pls die heito. Considering corpse girl looks all ghosty and shit, I'm guessing we might see the ghosts of Emiru and Akashi's brother sometime in the future. I don't see how this show is going to end. Maamu was narrating, so hopefully everyone dies except for her. I'd approve of that ending at this point in the story. She was also the one who wasn't really paired with anyone or something if I remember correctly. |

You know what if the corpse and the girl also just an admonition of the girl Tsugumi who once lived. Like all the children's memories is the reason the corpse is still around. The kids now don't have any memories of the past because those memories are exactly what was used to create the corpse. Maybe this Tsugumi girl already died but the kid's memories with her was so important and powerful so they without knowing, those memories are what created the corpse. |

I'm torn between Sasame turning into necrometal and become third mecha, thus completing 'M3' and doubts, that they will repeat the same sequence without creating any impact for the second time. Maybe, they are utilising the same premise to show different outcome (also pushing Sasame as the main girl with her 'special' connection to MC. Basically, he will somehow save her). juvemema said: You know what if the corpse and the girl also just an admonition of the girl Tsugumi who once lived. That's a good point, assuming that a substantial chunk of memories is missing (few months before and after, if I'm not mistaken). It could be that corpse girl is the main reason the realm exists, making all the guys partly responsible for creating it. P.S. Man, EVA vibe is the only thing that keeps me from dropping it. Although I agree, this show is underrated. |

Why does Akashi hate his brother so much? I imagine he probably had a crush on his brother's girlfriend and he probably has some severe inferiority complex towards his brother but that can't be all. Also, I seriously hope that's not all there is to Heito's background story, luckily there's still a lot of episodes to go. Wait, everyone here is talking like Akashi did indeed have a crush on his bro's girlfriend. Was this stated or was it just obvious and I just missed it? Also, memories of his brother fucking her is not strange at all, it would make sense the most important and profound memories would be the strongest. |

My god this show sucks. So I guess Akashi and Heito just accepted the fact that Emiru is a robot now and didn't question any of the lab officials on that whatsoever. "Oh, well I guess she's a robot now...anyway I hope the cafeteria has eggs for breakfast tomorrow." The only real reason for them to have killed Emiru off was to put Sasame in the spotlight. Now not only is she still incredibly uninteresting, but now she's going to die and become the third mech. Leaving us with that creepy little boy. One of the most annoying things is that everyone interrupts the other person when they're having a conversation and completes their thoughts like they fucking know anything. Every. Single. Episode. This episode with Akashi interrupting Kasane and completing her sentences then walking away like he's the fucking all-knowing prophet, and immediately after he leaves she's like...n-no Akashi. Heito is still a big ol' douchebag. But, we got a flashback of him peeing himself so I laughed and enjoyed that immensely. |

One of the main complaints comes from Heito which ruin's the show's atmosphere whenever he's on screen. You can have a batship crazy character that's not so over-the-top. The Joker in Batman the Dark Knight was like that and a lot of people liked him and even considered him the best thing about the movie. And people, you just KNOW Sasame will survive because she'll be protected by plot armor while the better character,Emiru, was not because you know...she need's to end up with Akashi. But maybe I'm wrong and Okada will show some fair treatment towards her characters(not holding my breath on that one). Otherwise,I'm finding the show rather enjoyable and I'll agree that it's underrated. It's strong point is it's atmosphere(whenever Heito's not around to ruin it). |
