What's the use of a best friend if she can't even forgive her friend being an otaku.... being an otaku is not a big deal..... I'm disappointed in Ayase... :(

But that's the reality... I also recently had a similar experience..... so +++ for this episode....

I had found out that Ayase was a permanent rider on the crazy train beforehand, but it really doesn't make her Rena moment any less jarring.

I understand Kyousuke's concern for his sister, but he seems to be burning way too many bridges for her sake (their dad, Ayase). She better thank him properly by the end of the series (not in that way, sickos).

Looking forward to next week's episode, given I'm in the minority that actually likes Manami. Haters gonna hate.

I don't think like that but it would be nice at least a nice kiss on the cheek. Really that would be nice!

I'm struggling to grasp the meaning behind the last text message Ayase sent, when she referred to him as Mr lying older brother, and thanked him for helping them to make up, was this her seeing through what he had said was in fact for that purpose, or was this a general slur and she's still pissed at him?

Not my best para-phrasing moment, but if you follow my question?

i'm also wondering how we're suppose to interpret it that single line. i understand the rest of the text message, but that opening has many different implications. at first, i thought "mr. lying brother" meant that ayase knew that kyousuke lied on purpose. but that simply doesn't fit with ayase's personality and the fact that she worries about protecting kirino from him. the more i thought about it, the more i felt it could be interpreted as: she thought he was a good brother but now believes he lied about this good image and is actually a perverted siscon. of course, i could be over-thinking things.

for those who read the light novels, how are we suppose to interpret "mr. lying brother"? just wondering if the light novels explain it better. or is that line suppose to be vague?

if the anime is faithful to the light novel, its going to follow a formula of 60% drama, 25% romance 15%comedy. the appeal of this anime is on drama, as in the interactions between the characters in everyday situations. People are so used to watching harem animes that....they think to-love ru is a love/drama/comedy. Its not. To put it frankly, that is called a schoolboys fantasy.

The characters themselves are about 75% realistic, 25% fantasy. That's why people say, they don't resemble real siblings. Or shes not a real tsundere. Because they're hybrid characters. I apologize on behalf of the writer if that is too confusing.

Sorry, its not a white horse with black stripes, or a black horse with white stripes. Its just a zebra, a horse with stripes.

The reason why this franchise is popular is because the author double-dips. If the author only writes about otakus, he/she would lose the regular readers who are attracted to the drama and romance. If the author only wrote about the drama, he/she would lose the otakus who are here for the wincest. Regardless of what you think is better, from the standpoint of selling, it is a successful product.

The Hentai's confession was epic. First Bakuman proposing and now here declaring LOL I love this.

Kirino has a huge ego damn and hopefully this means Kyousuke ends up if it happens with his childhood friend I love those two in the previouse episode I thought there is a possibility of romance between Kyousuke and Ayase but if she knew he was lying.

Too bad, I really liked Ayase in the previous episode, but she instantly became a character I don't like with this one.

Poor Kyousuke, he certainly endures a lot for Kirino, hope she'll soften up to him more, that guy deserves a medal. Maybe at the end of the last episode she will call him Onii-chan? :D Kyousuke's reaction to it would be priceless I'm pretty sure.

I also liked how both the game character and the father acted the same way :D

Nice! I got somethings to say in regards to that. First is that I think I am going to like Manami's parents especially the father.

Second Manami has a brother? Interesting little kid if so.

Third is that it looks like Kirino will get some new order so good she shakes a second time her ass for us. Sounds like another delight again. Lastly I think I am going to like that scene of Manami/Kyousuke being alone in the room judging from Kyousuke's reactions. Keep posting these previews! I think they are great way to find out more about the next episode.

In the text Kyousuke got from Ayase she said "Mr Lying Brother". Does that mean she knew he was lying to protect Kirino and wanted them to make up? Meaning, still a chance for KyoxAyase?

Unless you lack internet and have a dad with contacts on the police department. It was also nice to see Kyousuke's dad does care about his son after all. It was kinda sad seeing how Kyousuke always got the short end of the stick in his family up to now.

And as I said before, Ayase believes Kyousuke is a siscon now. That should be obvious but the whole thing will be more easy to perceive once they meet again.

Good episode, but I do hope all the sentimental nonsense goes away, since it right now feels really cheesy. But I do however like the insight this episode gave when it comes to how Otakus are being viewed by the Japanese.

QFT.

I'm done as of this episode. I usually hate male characters in anime, for various reasons I won't enumerate. The reverse is true of this anime, however. Kyousuke, as a previous poster said, deserves a goddamn medal. I can't watch more episodes of Kyousuke taking uncalled for abuse while he himself acts like a selfless saint. Seriously, what BENEFIT is any of this getting him? Nothing, really, unless he's that desperate to have a good relationship with his bitch of a sister, regardless of how ungrateful she is most of the time.

And don't get me started on Kirino's "I don't know those weirdos." Serious or not, she doesn't deserve friends as understanding as the two otaku girls.

Dropped.

I kind of wish Ayase wasn't like this. They intro'd her and I fell in love instantly, they swapped numbers, she was understanding and sweet.

Then lolwut she hates lies but watches mass media? Complete hatred for otaku who could hurt people? What is this? Does she believe Doom caused Columbine? A brother says he loves his sister and now he's a pervert? (I guess the way he said it might have made it come off that way) but now he's the villain, even though she knew he tried to protect her from *dirty* material before, and she didn't flinch at the sight of apparent the near-attempted rape from the previous episode, knowing it was a misunderstanding.

So random.

I personally enjoy when Kirino abuses his brother, simply because I find his caring nature to be extremely annoying.

I too am brother, and I do have younger sister, but in no way would I be pest and annoyingly try to solve problems that doesn´t concern me, even if it´s about my sister.

Of course, it would be a different thing if she asked me for help.

Ayase has no idea that the media is telling lie and she hate lies. That is why kyousuke make use of her weakness to attack her.
Even thou Ayase believe that being an Otaku is no harm to the society. She still believe reading/watching Naked loli doing %#%^ is disgusting.Kyousuke later try to prove that those "disgusting material" are the reason how their relationship between Kyousuke and Kirino become better. unfortunately,Ayase misunderstood in a wrong way.....

Hold on, I don't get what you're trying to say. Don't you mean "Non-Japanese/non-Asians"? By saying what you just said, it's like you're trying to inform Asians on how Asians are supposed to act even though they should know how to act toward their elders.

I think Ayase is that insecure friend. She seems like a person who would look up to Kirino since Kirino's "perfect" and since Kirino has this one flaw that everyone looks down upon, she's not having it. Plus, we don't know anything about her past, maybe she also had a bad experience with someone who was an otaku.

my sister is way worse than her....she throw chair on me and scream very loud when she is angry(hysteria) but she act like an angel when she is chatting with her friend(~~scary) .watching this Anime really remind me of my horrible reality in real life.
I watch Anime to escape reality but this Anime is a bit ...sigh -_-"

I remember Kyousuke say a very funny phrase in the Light Novel :" Why can't my sister be someone like in the video game.usually when you do some thing good, the character's favorable point will increase, but why my sister doesn't do so >.< . "
actually this is a question I have been asking in my life as well...
