| No, 2220 is not to be believed either. It's never been calculated definitely. You yourself admitted it might be longer. Either way, whatever. There has been both some sound justification for both Y2K and 2012. 2012 less so. Something bad DID happen when we hit the year 2000. It was the result of software errors due to the switchover. It resulted in quite a substantial loss, but it was anticipated, so relatively little damage was done. It wasn't apocalyptic, but something DID happen. |

| I am positive the world will not end in 2012, but do find it quite humorous that some people are die hard believers in the whole 2012 hype. There is enough scientific evidence via NASA and other sources that disprove all of the main arguments (solar maximum is a state we have experienced many times, and much worse then the on coming one // when the polarity of a planet shifts it DOES NOT happen over night). All of these theories (Y2K) of ridiculous catastrophe are kind of annoying because of the fear mongering that people use to spread the message - it makes me sad to see the gullible become overly depressed and anxious for 2012 merely because some fanatic persuaded them via false facts that it will be the end. |

Issac Newton in his later years became a religious fanatic maybe from the Mercury Poisoning in his lab and he became bible obsessed and scoured the bible and found sections in the book of Revelation that had hidden mathematical clues that led to the discovery of the 2060 Armageddon. The texts are currently in a museum and were first discovered 100 years ago and finally sold and donated in 1997. The Mercury Poisoning may have killed him too. |

| The End-of-the-World business/scam separating gullible suckers from their cash has been going strong since the beginning of the world. I personally admire these people and hope one day to run my own end-is-nigh scheme. I'm still trying to figure out an angle -- since Mayan calendar has been used, I'm thinking about maybe a Vatican conspiracy, since those Dan Brown nuts seem to eat that stuff up. |
