Lmaoo I knew tackle could win this with technique but dang she actually did. Tojima is pure power he needs to learn some grabbing technique.

Spoiler Alert, next episode is going to be unpleasant(BE PREPARE)

@Kelvin19192 It's kind of a shame that the story arc of the best girl, Futaba, will be skipped, and the scenes in the cafe are great, or maybe they'll save it for the finale.

All the chudds PO’d because a girl beat a guy in a fight 😂

1. Yuriko actually knows how to dodge. Also how to use leverage & her opponents momentum against them. Tojima managed to block a couple attacks, but largely just takes the hit full on.

2. The closing scene indicates that Tojima was probably running on auto-pilot through out much of the fight with the mask being the only thing keeping him going. Not surprising considering the amount of blood pouring out from behind the mask after some of the hits he took.

3. Everyone saying that Tackle’s victory doesn’t make sense narratively seems to have forgotten the observation Tojima himself made soon after meeting her

Mitsuba’s fight against his brother showed within the shows context that the key to unlocking their full potential is owning the love & passion they have for their role model. So they practically foreshadowed the outcome of her fight. Consequently, I don’t like Mitsuba’s chances next week.

I did not expect this show to be as fire as it is lol. I’m so caught off guard. It’s hilarious, strangely emotive, and the fights are actually fire too? I’m sold lol

@Niwaka-Samurai Man someone who shares my view, I haven't watched the real kamen rider show but damn for some reason this anime makes me very emotional.

Nah you’re not tripping at all. The emotion behind this show is actually pretty deep. It’s all about keeping your inner child alive. Seeing these grown folk keep their youthful innocence is hilarious, but also really inspiring.

@Penteano This talk about "Tackle winning being forced" is idiotic.

Understand that this anime is based on an old manga, which means it doesn't have Western moralistic themes. Furthermore, from a narrative standpoint, it's quite obvious what the author is doing: in every shonen anime with a tournament arc, the protagonist loses, but when it's time to face the villain, he wins. This is normal and extremely cliché in shonen anime.

I don't think it's idiotic.

Factor in the scenes of him taking down literal bears and knocking down the spider monster, who is levels above the others in the group- he was built to be an unstoppable force. The audience might expect them to treat him as such. Not to mention, the years of training he has over her.

Additionally, when I started to go along with the narrative that Tojima has raw strength and Tackle has speed/technique- and Tackle needs to avoid even a single hit if she must win--
She literally no-sells a straight up Rider Punch and reverses into her own throw to end the fight! It wouldn't matter if she was a man or woman at that point. After all that build up? Questionable writing, if you ask me.
@certifiedbinger As I said, this is normal in shonen manga, and it's obvious that Kamen Rider is stronger. Reading your comment, I totally agree, but defining the victory as simply forced, ignoring the narrative and historical aspects in which the manga was made, is idiotic.

I am so invested in Tackle, man, I am really glad she was able to show her prowess. I did wish we had the ending art of her.

Some criticism though, most of the soundtrack used in this episode wasn't good. Besides, I don't know how to put my finger, but despite the action scenes being really good, I felt like it was missing something, the whole thing with Tackle coming out on top was amazing, but analysing the episode objectively there was something missing. maybe the fight in the manga was faster and they dragged it here? Idk, but something felt off.

"Do you want to relax or something... when you are facing Tackle?"

God this show is so fcking good bro.
I deadass thought Yuriko wasn't going to win, Tojima just wouldn't go down, but she ended up clutching the win. Next episode is Tackle vs Riderman!
Now it seems Tojima's spirit has gone up to heaven cause the only thing living is the spirit of Kamen Rider through the mask lol.

That was a crazy fight on episode 10 it's like they are fighting for death match or something haha, This proves that martial art training does beat endurance and strength+self taught figthing style but of course in anime because in real life it is still 50/50 too bad tojima didn't have proper martial arts training otherwise he would have been unstoppable here

I know for a fact that Toujima's the only one capable of doing something against monsters, proven fact. All that jumping around won't do them no good if they can't damage the executives. Predictable results for the tournament so far though.

Not only this fight was filled with raw, intense, high quality action (choreography! punches! sounds! techniques!), but also had an unexpected outcome. Tackle won! :D I thought that Toujima would win, 'cause he's Kamen Rider (xD) and the main character, but nope! Even his obsession met an obstacle that proved to be too much for him to handle. Good that Toujima's strength comes back when he puts his mask on, but I hope he will be taken to a hospital once this tournament ends. ;D

Wonderful episode. Awesome tournament arc. This anime is truly a gem.

Okay, so only two participants of this insane contest are left. No breaks, even though Yuriko's fight was tough. The final round between Yuriko and Mitsuba will be epic.

Another thing everyone seems to have missed is that the point of the fight was to show that Tackle was at the start playing it too safe and while she was able to land a lot of hits on Tojima she likely would have lost the endurance battle. It wasn't until she started taking risks and allowing him to connect to get better and harder counters that she was able to win. It's to show that if she is to actually fight monsters like Tojima can she is also going to have to put her life in danger like he did against the spider monster.

A tournament arc where the "main character" and his "rival" both don't make it to the finals, in a way that still feel completely justified by the story? More anime need to be taking notes from this show. It has some of the most hype moments that I've seen in any anime for years.

@YallSuk They freaking piss me off, because can't a women take a W for once, they just mad that they lost a game to a girl, bet they're the type to question why girls don't like them...

Girl didn't go for the crotch kick or American style, so she deserved the victory...

The manga is from 2018, two years after the whole world became crazy due to a certain man defeating a certain woman in the presidential race of a certain country. The original Kamen Rider is much older but also completely different and much, much better.

"Wow, this is beyond my expectation, just when I begin to think that this anime can't surprise me anymore

A woman beating a man, in a fictional work, in 2025, is surprising to you? After everything that has been made, in all kinds of medium, in the west and in the east over the past decade(or more than a decade)?
I will tell you that what you said is more surprising than anything that the people involved in the production of this anime can ever hope to create.
The day that I see A big muscular man defeating a little girl in an anime fight, I will be truly impressed.

Anyways, I liked the episode because I hated Tojima since the beginning and was waiting for someone to beat him to drop it lol. He oozes that tired and tiresome unsuccessful old salary man aura and I hate that kind of shit. Also, its the third time that she takes him down but this time there is no discussion lol.

A bear never knocked off his mask, dropped him on his head & curb stomped him. Not hard to figure out.

Not only was this the best episode so far, but the fight itself was the best one too, and now we have an official confirmation thanks to this fight and the next episode preview that Tackle is indeed the strongest of the main cast and i'm glad that's the case, i wish more anime treated their female characters as well as this one did with Tackle, she is basically the blueprint to how hot female characters should be used in animanga, that's why she should've been the MC over Tojima since not only is she stronger than him, but also a much more popular and interesting character.
@YallSuk. There cannot be a blueprint across all genres. A single model for all "hot female characters" devolves art into moral sermon, and creativity becomes second to politics.

And thinking you know best who the protagonist should be is wild, especially when this shonen has already prevailed through market demand. Yeah, I know, its not that deep, right?

The fight was awesome, sure... but I didn't like the result. So Toujima one hit the actual Shocker (Yukarisu) and Yuriko gave him trouble because she knew some wrestling moves?
I like to see how she fairs against actual Monsters and see if she can actually hurt them, same thing with Mitsuba
There's a reason why women can't beat men in most competitive sports, and that's a fact, but I guess that's anime for ya
@Kai200X What an inane statement... There is also a reason why men can't beat grizzly bears in a fight, and that's a fact, but I guess that's anime for ya...
They're obviously tapping into some kind of Karmen Rider determination power. Plus he has no fight training, so this outcome was totally believable and it clearly could have gone either way.
