| MHA is one of my favorites but this whole armored All Might thing isnt for me. He should have been dead or done by now but instead they all of a sudden build him an OP suit. Why not just give 20 people the same suit, then All for One Wouldnt stand a chance. Anyway I'm excited for what comes after this fight and I'm glad its back. |

| MHA is back. That took a while. Can't believe it's the final season. I've been watching it weekly since Season 2 I think. Time to finally finish this. All Might beating the shit outta AFA by constantly ragebaiting him was hilarious. Also, his suit have powers from his students? That's kinda wholesome. Toru's design is so beautiful. Aoyama is lucky to catch a glimpse of her lol. This episode went by pretty fast. The new OP is cool. |
| Aside from the recap the episode was fantastic. I knew the production would improve, but geez once it starts to adapt new content the difference is night and day for me. It feels like Bones is finally giving the source material an adaptation that lives up to Horikoshi's art. The designs are detailed yet retain the MHA artstyle, the animation is consistently fluid, the 3D compositing blends very well with the 2D animation, and we have more Sakuga than usual. Hell, there is nearly more sakuga during Yuga's small fight than Deku's confrontation with Shigaraki in S6. It's the little things, like AFO being a fully animated under the laser blast even though you can barely see it, or a nice looking blink-or-you'll-miss-it 3D shot of the walls being dissintergrated from the laser blast. These may be minor positives in the grand scheme of things, but as someone whose been consistently dissapointed by the downgrade in animation/direction/art quality ever since S3, I'm quite satisfied. OP is pretty good too. I hope this season can keep up this high bar of quality. Especially since they were able to spend a year on this single cour, unlike in past seasons where they had to make 2 cours in one year. |

| I've been following bnha since the 1st episode aired, and after the 2nd season I started reading the manga as well. It's almost a decade for me. I already felt this loss when snk ended, so I know I'll be very emotional this season... And as for the episode, I'm just happy for the continuous justice they're doing for All Might. I was eager to see it animated...! I also love how they didn't show one character in the opening. I hope they will readjust the opening later for it, that would be great! And, not to mention, 'the day has come' from the first opening was referenced :') welcome back, porno graffitti |

| No idea what happened with crunchyroll getting this episode out on time today, but that aside, man it is a wild feeling knowing this is the start of MHA’s final season, one of those shows that felt like it would always be there every year, but once this one is done there will be no more for the main story. I haven’t been here since the beginning but I have since around half way through Season 3, the summer of 2018, it’s been a great ride up to this point and I’m really gonna miss it once it’s over, a full rewatch will definitely happen. About the first episode itself, half of it being stuff we already saw is a bit of a disappointment but I understand it from the standpoint of making the fight flow better, it was October last year when I last saw the beginning of All Might versus All For One round two so I don’t really mind watching it again either, it’s just for those binging it’ll be a bit awkward lol. The new content was amazing tho, I really loved seeing All Might’s continued struggle against the monster that is AFO, bro has really pulled all the stops for this one, he did not go into this battle just to simply stall for time, definitely the coolest All Might has ever been imo. I liked the callback to Star’s attack on Shigaraki too, it’s just unfortunate that it still wasn’t enough to put down AFO, it looked really bad there but Stain’s entrance was very hype, can’t wait to see what he does in this battle. Also, the combo attack from Hagakure and Aoyama was very sick, the plant guy was very strong and even turned Fat Gum into Malnourished Gum, but bro got cooked like a TV dinner lol, and as a bonus we got a cute moment there when Hagakure realized she is in fact visible and nude lol, but man she is so pretty when you can actually see her so I can only see it as a good thing even if her gimmick is being invisible. And wow they got Porno Graffiti back for the final OP, the ones who did the first ever MHA OP, and it’s another very good one, a shame Brian the Sun isn’t active anymore to come back for the final ED but I’ll take Bump of Chicken, can’t wait to hear their song hopefully next week. |

| Great ep Wasn't really a fan of that long ahh recap, especially after rewatching all of s7 until 5 am tdy. It's only right that the master finishes what the student attempts, if failed with another beam of light on All For One. The usage of the quirks were pretty cool by All Might. Laser and Invisible girl make a great, but underrated duo. Stain so clutch. This ep adapted ch 399-400, despite the recap. Hopefully, we get no more recaps cause we don't need em, especially as we need to finish the series this szn. 9.5/10 |

| I feel like the people complaining about the recap don't understand that the vast majority of the audience literally hasn't watched a single episode of the series since the previous season ended. Without a recap (which didn't even feel like a recap to me), most of the audience would have absolutely no idea what's going on. It's been a year, and they left off in the middle of multiple climactic battles. I thought the episode was great. Armored All Might is pretty cool, and him essentially having to follow in the footsteps of Deku and his other students is very poetic. Him copying the Shoot Style Smash was a very hype moment. Seeing Invisible Girl fully appear for the first time is a long-awaited moment, since her quirk made it seem like she'd never be particularly useful in these huge fights. I've been waiting for Stain to come back since his first appearance in season 2. He's always suggested the All Might was the only hero he really respected, so I'm excited to see them teaming up against One For All. |

| The power armor is such a goofy touch. Like imagine if they built two of those lasers instead of finding a way to emulate Sugarman? It's totally arbitrary that they were able to make it like they did. All Might does like his symbols, but maybe think about saving the world a little more. Course it's way too late in the game to complain about MHA being what it is, but... it's not like we need something this inexplicable to have the turnaround. We've got a huge cast to fill it up with moments like Invisible Girl and Stain that make way more sense. |
