But I cut all ties with it ages ago. Drinking had no positive impact on my life or my health, and pretty much no one cares that I don't drink anymore anyway. But what about you? | I'm mainly a social drinker when I meet up with family, as their all big into drinking. If their not out somewhere drinking then their trying to win free drinks with betting apps. It's...very awkward being the non-drinker, so I'll join in. I'll only have a few things at a time though, as I used to get quite dizzy-feeling after barely having anything (and I'm not drunk during these, just dizzy-feeling) and I hate that sensation. I did also used to have bits of alcohol when I was a kid for a time too, to I guess to be more adult? my parents didn't mind and would give me some, but that stopped for a time. I don't really think I like the taste of alcohol all that much, but I have started buying non-alcoholic beer & white wine as I genuinely prefer the taste to alcoholic stuff and I like fizzy drinks, but don't want soda, especially in the evenings I only have a few of them a week and it's not daily. I don't think I'd ever go out to pubs to drink (or out clubbing) as I never did that anyway and don't want to now, and I don't want to be addicted, as I see in town so many addicts bent over double pissed day after day it's the same ones, and I think that must be a terrible way to live. Also my brother-in-law is an alcoholic, he's twice lost his licence and my sister worries about him all the time. Fortunately he's not abusive to her, but he drinks so much that he's numb to it all and it's really affecting his health. He's very overweight and he acts like he has some brain damage because of drinking :( |

| Extremely distant, I don't drink alcohol at all, but I don't mind as much in food stuff and sweets, but I'm just not a fan of it. Kinda like an unpleasant uncle that you can tolerate a few times a year but are otherwise glad to not have him play any bigger role in your life. Not that I have to deal with any of those things or people, though |
| I very rarely drink alcohol, it's bad for you. I have managed to get away with drinking a relatively large amount before , getting happy drunk without hangover, but usually just get a headache and nausea even after small amounts. |

| I used to be an alcoholic. For 14 years I would drink Steel Reserve every three days, then it became every other day and then for a year it was a fifth of vodka everyday. You will never understand a true panic attack unless you’ve experienced coming off of alcohol as a long term addict. |

| I don't drink. I don't mean I never drink alcohol, but it's really not an habit or something I seek out. I don't really like beer, wine and I absolutely hate whiskey, probably the three main beverages alcoholics consume here, so there very little reason to drink for me most of the time. I can appreciate a good sour beer, cider, or rum sometimes, and I do get drunk af every year during the harvest in Champagne every year, but that's about it tbh. For personal reasons, I don't think I'll ever become an alcoholic. |

If he drives, he's cooked asf. I mean maybe when someone is drunk he tells what he TRULY thinks but I don't know, voluntarily not having the control over himself is crazy to me. | I've never drank alcohol due to a lot of trauma regarding an incident where someone slipped a date-rape drug into my soda when I was 13. While nothing actually ended up happening to me, it was kind of a harrowing experience and I would rather do anything I can to avoid getting drugged again, especially now after coming out as trans and with the legitimate danger that comes alongside it. I also know I have an addictive personality so avoiding it is just generally for the best anyways |

| Deffo close relationship, but not toxic, I avoid alcohol as much as I can since I have a lot of responsibilities at my uni, but when I have some free days I generally drink some funny juice, I don't drink that much in social context I drink more alone since I enjoy it more, is just a way for me to celebrate or to relieve the stress of my studies |

| My relationship with alcohol? Imagine a shoujo manga with alcohol as the waifu and me as the love interest. Alcohol is truly beautiful, and I feel like I can do anything when I'm with it. Not to say that I don't recognize the inherent dangers in it, of course, which is why I actually don't drink that often. | @fleurbleue You better get those things out of your system at an early age, cause once you start going to school, you gotta focus on the important stuff... Well, that was my parents policy, at least. You obviously shouldn't drink as a kid so you can become an alcoholic later on in your life. Reminds me that the first and last time I tried smoking cigarettes was when I was about 6 probably. For some reason I couldn't exhale the smoke and it was an awful experience... so awful that I never tried it again. Although to be fair, we do have a lot of smokers and alcoholics, so maybe this approach doesn't really work. |

| Pretty distant. I've only had some drinks a handful of times in my life. And all of those have happened in the last few years. I find alcohol to be pretty boring ngl, I prefer weed as it gives me that nice calm feeling |
