Now, the Hawks are also royalists, and the doves anti-royalists, but that's not really important to the label, but rather a probable underlying reason for some individuals. |

We're currently at manga vol 3, ch 27 and thereabout. well, we are at less than half the season so why not? they might have to cut something out though... and isn't dalilah's story showed in a couple episodes anyway? |

| Rory has been stealing the spotlight all throughout the show and she does it again!! XD so guessing the harem factor has increased even more for Itami now :) The elf race are just so unlucky in this series, hope Dushi's race doesn't go extinct like Tuka, that would be depressing :( I'm not sure how they plan to end the series though and I meant it as in after 24 episodes. I think they may present/bring closure to both worlds which could be the best way. |

| Episode when a certain dynamism in the plot, an advancement of the latter is quite unusual, given the past. Narration that shows few jumps in the narrative context, quite linear in its exposure. Drawings average, ditto animations. I wonder if the dark elf's arrival is just an excuse to lengthen the stock and then not have a specific purpose in the main story. I go now to see the last episode, I'm quite curious how ends the first season of this anime. |

| Cockblocking ep 5: Rory Strikes Back. Ep 11. Plot: Returning to Alnus, Pina and others help to bring negotiations between Japan and the Empire. Itami and co watch over the new town made for refugees but a new Dark Elf named Yao has come seeking their aid to kill a red dragon. While Itami heads off to the Imperial Capital, Yao meets with the JSDF. Character: Itami's got a little gray in him during the talk of Tuka. I can't fault him for it but I do think they should get around to telling her the truth. Yao is either gullible or clueless. Probably both. Rory is a poor dear who keeps getting blocked. If it happens again, she's gonna kill someone. Animation/sound: It was a fun little thing. 4/5. The penultimate leaves enough that there is material for season 2. Let's see how this ends. |
