Opening song slaps!
I wonder if that weird green on her hair is gonna be a plot point or if it's just a stylistic choice, becuase if it's the latter... Then it is a choice indeed.
That Kyros' maid is such a great character, strong, cute and funny, "feel free to slap her" made me laugh.

Overally it's fine, but I'm kinda lost what's gonna happen in another 11 episodes, because all the conflict for now seems to be her lack of confidence, I'm worried it's gonna be dragged. Unless her parents are gonna play some part again, but seeing how they hate her I don't think they even care what's gonna happen to her.

@Yasminaa Yo, that’s actually a really interesting theory, and it could make sense, especially when you consider how much she’s into clothes too. Of course, she hasn’t gone through the same cruelty Marie has, but she was still used as a political pawn by her parents.
So yeah, I wouldn’t put a move like that past her, haha. In any case, let’s stick with Marie’s point of view for now. If Anastasia happens to be alive, I doubt we’ll see her before the finale, probably as a season cliffhanger or something like that, you know?

| Plot Twist (based on nothing but a hunch): Anastasia didn't die. Instead, I feel like she might've faked her death to go to the capital & open her clothes shop. I think we'll see how it pans out (I just don't want to believe that they killed such a lovely character in the very first episode). |

| First I would like to start off by saying Marie is absolutely beautiful. The parents better get out of my face ASAP before I lose it. They are such great villains who you can't help but despise for the awful treatment they give Marie. Typical romance anime when it comes to misunderstands, wouldn't be romance without them. I have high hopes for this anime as the art style is beautiful, the characters pique my interests. I can't wait to watch Marie grow and build confidence as she surrounds herself with people who love her and treat her the way she deserves to be treated, away from her parents. |
| Well another "abused girl by her parents" gets to find love and be treated better, but aI knew it, they had to go an ruin the ending with a cliffhanger of the girl saying "I can't do this", meaning she is good enough for him, why can't she be happy that they would welcome her into their house. |
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating. |

| I hate little sisters, they shouldn't exist to begin with but the parents calling Marie a murder hit close to home given that my mother accuses me of murdering my grandmother when I was 3. Also not fond of how they just killed the older sister. |

| Solid 8/10 They did a super solid job manipulating the emotional parts and bringing out the deep characters in each of the main roles, with first the sad and dark things then slam with a huge bright turnover, but of course with cuteness and loveliness in between. Felt like watching Akagami but clearly smoother and much more powerful, less shoujo too, which is also very good. Lots of expectation for this one! Keep it up this way please |
| Haah. I'll see how it goes. I think the whole excessively abusive parents thing is sometimes even comical. They tried to say Anastasia was a kind sister, but I didn't exactly get that from her. They showed her giving her little sister some supportive advice once and they noted that she would read Marie's favorite book to her all the time. Meanwhile, she doesn't stand up for her sister as she's getting treated like trash. Yes, you can argue that it's hard to stand up to abusive parents-- and it is. However, this went on for all these years and we barely saw them really interacting positively at the very least. One thing before she dips and one thing from the past. I just feel like we should have been shown more of that. It was Marie's birthday and we still didn't get much of anything showing that Anastasia cared, again, until when she was about to dip. So unfortunately, the writing just doesn't sell that idea to me. So anyway, peeps will of course make comparisons to Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon. I'm no different. Except I do feel that the energy of this is more bearable and a little more lighthearted than Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon which just kinda just made me feel like it was doing all it could to elicit pity. However, the pity shouldn't feel that forced. Here, it also feels forced, but at this point, I'm more interested in what they do with it. I at least see that Marie is not so pitiful of a character that she can't enjoy herself here and there. I love that she at least has a passion for something and gets excited over it, or that she can at least enjoy life's little pleasures. It makes a difference, in my opinion. I'll see though. I want it to go well. I'm not hoping for it to fail, so here's hoping for a good story. |
| I loved their first interaction. Its so cute how excited they both got about a common interest. Also I really like series like this that have MCs in a horrible position at first cause its so satisfying to see them grow and overcome it. Got a whole section for manhwa just called "Healing Manhwa" for this kind of setting. Is it weird that I actually prefer her more messier hair? Not a big fan of her having it swept to the side. Think it looks better when she's got the long hair down the middle. This series has so many unique looking characters and I love it. That maid is gold. Super strong and an absolute beast. Loved her panic when she recognized Marie cause its the woman her lord is obsessed with. Cant wait to see more of her and all the girls taking care of the MC. Also theres no way that sister is dead. Just coincidentally talks about dressing up as a man and wanting to open up a shop. |

| I don’t usually watch this kind of anime, but I like to check them out at least. The idea of the classic “Cinderella” framing is actually pretty nice. I might follow the three-episode rule, but compared to ‘‘The too perfect saint’’ from last season, it’s personally harder to enjoy. The episode was straightforward. The misunderstood engagement was introduced right at the start, with clear chemistry between the characters and a conflict that seems interesting to follow. But some people felt it was too fast-paced, and the first episode alone didn’t really convince |

| Here I was thinking an anime like this has no business having this good of an opening. It turned out this anime had no business being this good to begin with. That was so good! It's a shame the good-hearted sister had to die to make way for the protagonist. |

| Is this from the same people who did last seasons Sold off Saint anime? They are laying it on just as grossly thick with the bad people bad good people bad, I am starting to wonder if the target audience of Japanese people just don't understand morality unless it slaps them in the face, which the mother did just that in this episode. |
