I guess I should start playing it soon, I mean what else am I going to do while on public transport to work and random other places I shouldn't be at lol? I don't really feel annoyed at Princess Peach getting kidnapped either, but not for the same reasons you did. I guess I just liked how cute she was since I was a young girl obsessed with Disney Princesses and all those fancy princess dresses. I didn't have old Nintendo magazines like you did, but I was exposed to games that made her a more involved character like Super Mario RPG and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door early in my childhood anyway. I still like Peach though I like Daisy and Rosalina as well. |

| This could've been prevented if they had Daisy fill that role instead of Peach. Daisy is the tomboyish princess and thus fits the badass role. |

| If anything, Peach reminds of how she was portrayed in the DIC cartoons. Since, she still fought against Bowser and the Koopalings and she's rarely captured. As the others mentioned, she also wasn't captured in Super Mario RPG, Super Paper Mario, and Super Princess Peach. |

In this game, it appears at the end of the castle levels, in order to defeat the Fake Bowser (or the real Bowser who is at the last castle), Mario/Luigi must either hits fireballs at him if they have a Fire Flower. | Don't care. We've spent years seeing the dynamic of Peach being kidnapped by Bowser. If you really want to see that so badly, just skip the movie and play the games instead. | Anya Taylor-Joy sounds nothing like Peach and when I hear her voice I only hear ATJ, but I think the movie-direction of Peach is pretty interesting. Better than having her as an absentee damsel — now she's an actual character. |

| As someone who seen the movie now, I can definitely say it has some woke aspects. A lot of it was fanservice cameos for the fans of the Mario games so the woke aspects did not overtake my enjoyment of the show completely. I heard the expression that esg is like salt, and too much of it can make any story trash. I would give the movie a 5.5/10. Good, but not really a masterpiece. Still one of the best newer movies of 2023. |
