| A fine kick-off to the new season. Although I thought there was a touch of flashy trash animation thrown in, for no reason other than to be flashy trash. It was minimal, though, and most of the animation looked very good. Well blended mix of 2D and 3D CGI. Nothing too distracting at all. I liked they reintroduced us to the characters. Maki's still a doll. But they didn't waste a lot of time recapping previous seasons. They jumped right into continuing the story, which I think was the correct decision. There's already lots of new revelations in the plot to chew on. Looking very much forward to see how the tale unfolds. My only real complaint was CRs shitty servers. They kept bogging down and automagically reducing resolution. C'mon guys, you should have known this was going to be one of the biggest premiers of the season. No excuse not to have enough pipe to keep the streams running smoothly. |

This first episode was already more interesting and better animated than anything season two had to offer, aside from the Joker and Benimaru mini-arc ofc. In case you forgot, there was an entire arc dedicated to talking animals... oh, and let’s not forget the 12 full minutes of an episode taken up entirely by Tamaki’s fanservice. | You know, I didn't realize that the second season aired in... 2020! Jesus Christ where did the time go?! Almost 5 years and honestly, while the little recap was nice, I should have rewatched the first two seasons xD. Tamaki and her fanservice are back! Iris and her cuteness are back! I love how eager she was to push the button <3. Maki with the gorilla face lol. Plot wise... Really, Burns? Part of me wants to believe that Burns is playing along because that was too easy and sudden. Anyway, Fire Force is back and is as exciting as ever. Looking forward to more! |

| Finally it's back!! That was an awesome start. Good that the quality is same as like all the previous seasons, it gave that nostalgic feeling. The summary by Captain Obi at the beginning was necessary it helped me remember what happened in season 2 five years ago. It's really unfortunate to see the whole Tokyo Empire cooperating with the White Clad after all those fights. What's more shocking is how they are easily getting swayed by White Clad's will of the Evangelist talk. The OP and ED by Queen Bee and Umeda Cypher is Fire!! It's really different from the previous seasons, so some might take a while to get use to it but to me it's definitely the song of the season. Let's see what happens in the next episode. I hope they are unable to inject Obi with the bug. |
| So It was ages since I watch season 2 but this episode certainly made me remember the general cast and important names. I was actually pretty excited for this until part way Tamaki showed up. Then I remembered the part of this show which I despise like please someone just kill her already. But putting that aside it was a great start into season 3 done a great job of reintroducing everyone and the animation is still amazing. |
| CHAT, WE ARE SO BACK This and Dr. Stone are two series that both started around the same time, and both finally coming to an end. Don't know how to feel about it going forward, but its definitely one of those series that did everything right and wasn't as large as you'd expect. Really a shame that a series like Solo Leveling and JJK got more popularity, but it is what it is. Still gonna be thankful that the quality remained consistent unlike Dr. Stone, which gradually fell off. |

| Thank god for that recap since season 2 wasn't the most memorable plot wise,some good things teased here and there, Burns being an antagonist was always something i pictured, Shinra fighting his saviour is gonna be something interesting to see, i'm really glad this is back and DP are not holding anything animation wise which is reassuring. |

| What a moon to wake up to. Nice way to reintruduce the cast and recap the story. The white clad appearing at the curia really was bold. Still the empire allying itself with the white clad in a official capacity sure was unerving. The team banding together to rescue Obi was quite the scene. Still im curious as to how the other squads would react when they launch their plan. When fighting a empire they're gonna need allies after all. From the ending visuals looks like this cour gonna be pretty combat heavy. Can't wait. Also loved that first scene in the ending that showed the team standing amid the ruins of a battlefield as well. Alone but defiant. |

FIVE years later, and the dreaded has happened... Fire Force Season 3. TBH, I'm conflicted when it comes to this series. On one hand, I semi-enjoyed the first season, as it was just passable shounen slop that could still be enjoyed. Season two on the other hand... man. A downgrade on so many fronts that's forever left a horrible taste in my mouth when it came to series....
.. Is what I would say if it wasn't for manga readers gassing up this final arc like it's a godsend or something. So I'll try and go into this season with a positive outlook. Kick back up right where we left off with the White Clads doing their thing... yeah, don't ask me what their thing is, what that is, is nothing more than a mystery. But back to the main city, where we see our main gang finally after so long.
With yes, THANK GOD, giving us a recap unlike another certain series that aired yesterday. And would you know it, it's a pretty unique recap, with us going back at forth from the main gang training, with some actual good animation again... season two wishes. But yeah, seems like the main plot this time around is our typical shounen recue arc, with our boy Obi here getting captured by none other than the Imperial Army... and the WHITE CLADS?!??!!
Anyways, that ain't important right now, what's more important is to be blessed with everyone's favorite TAMAKI FANSERVICE NOT EVEN TEN MINUTES IN!!!! This show has no shame. Back to the ACTUAL plot though, where yeah, seems that everyone's just got peas for brains in the verse, BECAUSE WHY THE FUCK are we allying with the White Clad... though, that question is quickly answered as Haumea proceeds to use her ultimate power that she's probably used on everyone so far... gaslighting..!!!
As we can see she wastes no time in gaslighting our dude Burns into believe all that bs she was spouting... and bro falls to his knees. Yeah, that brother is GONE. Back to Company 8 though, and yeah, if it wasn't already apparent who was going to rescue Obi, well, it's more than apparent now, it's Company 8 ofc. The whole of Company 8 for once, not just a couple cherry picked. The whole gang is here to rescue our boy!
I won't lie, even though there was no action this episode, this was one banger of a setup episode. Hate to say it, but great fucking return. This might redeem itself from whatever the hell season two was.
And yes, as per usual, the OP is a banger... and for once the ED is a banger... unlike those last two.

| @IzanaSolos Honestly, agree with you. Started it and it was as generic as a shounen could be, but watchable. S2 then made it clear that it couldn't get in any actual heights so I forced myself to end it. Started this one because I have a spare hour to see what's up with it. It was a setup episode and I don't remember 90% of the cast anyway. That said, I'm only answering you to warn you about putting your trust in manga readers hyping up. They do that shit all the time in most shows, and usually is overblown. It always is going to be adapted the best arc, but then it is not as good but the next arc is the actual best one and somehow you end the whole manga without knowing when the best arc arrived. |

| I love me some Fire Force but this was not the strongest episode to start off the season. I was blindsided by Burns switching sides but felt it could have been handled better. I do not get the feeling he is 100% on their side. We'll see how the rest of the season plays out |
