| Well, this is Veltol's life now, for being in part of this city. The betrayal stuff aside, I find it hard to take his and Machina relationship at the moment. Machina definitely cares about her but she's kinda protrayed as airheaded. Pacing feels strange in this anime so far. |

| JC staff handling 10 shows this season and doing them all well is legitimately insane “So can you explain the 500 year gap in your employment history” 😂 Respect for Veltol trying to take a load off Machina and help out with the bills, but he’s both overqualified and under qualified in this world. I think it’s going to take him thinking out the box to land a job now. Content creation seems like the perfect avenue for him since he’s got so many cool stories from the old world. Also explains why they teased so many vtuber scenes last week! Was nice to get a little of Machina backstory and see why she came to idolise Veltol so much. She’s been thru so much these last 500 years and I’m glad she’s finally being rewarded a little for that. She and Takahashi meeting in an online otome doujin circle is too funny. I love Takahashi already can’t wait to see more of her. Really enjoying this one so far, it’s like a better hatamaou for me. |

| @amf85 My thoughts exactly! I was sceptical after watching the first episode, but now I'm all in! I think it's Veltol's character and his chemistry with his "vassals" that sold me on this show. |
| Cannot lie, this anime has definitely pulled me in with not only the setting of a cyberpunk world, but also the highly expressive characters and amazing sound designs. I was interested in what Veltol would do with his life in 2099, but STREAMING? I could have never guessed that!?!. This is looking to be my unforeseen anime of the season if it keeps going at this rate. |

| The cyberpunk setting is kind of interesting, with the AR interface, clothes shopping booths and the "retro" bar with old TVs and cameras hanging on the walls. But I'm going to need a lot more. A shame that they still just eat rice with salmon and miso soup. Definitely not a full-on comedy like Hataraku Maou-sama, but appreciate the light-hearted touches, like the Demon Lord sleeping in his full glow-y armor and loudly declaring his job search status in public. But I hope they don't drag the streamer stuff out too much, can't see it being very funny for long. |

| Oh Lord, now Veltol is going to attempt to become a streamer. I guess that's the only thing he can do since his skills as a Demon Lord are pretty much out of date and V-Tubers still exist. Seeing Veltol apply for a job reminded me of how Ichiban Kasuga was trying to apply for a job by going to the Hello Work job agency in Like A Dragon/Yakuza 7. Let's see if being a streamer allow Veltol to level up in cyberpunk world. |

| So when Veltol rubbed his fingers on the girls' Familia device on their neck it appears to stimulate (or arouse?) them and it might be considered indecent (at least that's how it appeared to me), regardless the girls didn't seem to mind lol. This show isn't going the way I thought it would as I thought it would be more serious but I still don't mind it having silly parts here and there. |

I realized that this series has plenty of references to some popular titles, especially within the same theme. It's as clear as day that Cyberpunk 2077/Edgerunners has had a big influence on it. It even references the Brain Drive from Scarlet Nexus, but in a somewhat ripped-off way (watch the opening) |

It had me worried it'd go the OP isekai-ish route I feared when he saw the hacker's implant was different, but the ending totally redeemed it. |
