I know Will has been through some shit this season but getting dropped to the 11th floor yikes.

This was a survival based episode. Still can't stand Julius in this anime though. And yikes, Colette just witnessed something horrible and we got an ominous ending. Big fight coming up and it looks like Will have to carry a bit on his shoulders.

So basically, elf dude has been a hypocrite this whole time, and he truly is no better than Will, so he's just using him as a punching bag for legit no reason? Yeah, great reason to be picking on him bud. This being a shounen and all, ofc he forgives hm without hesitation and pushes him to surpass his limits yadda yadda. All because the enemy they started fighting just conveniently needed that certain elf magic in order to beat it... sigh.

You know, I wouldn't even care about all that generic shit either, if at the very least, the thing this show has been showing to be it's best aspect, the animation, would be on showcase, but for some reason these past two episodes have just been ok in terms of animation. I hope and pray the team can cook something good up for these last two episodes, but who knows...

When ignor's inferior complexity exceeds its limit and his mental armor is stripped away, ignor may use the first person pronoun as "I -> I."
Will is known for making impossible a possiblity to overcome any difficulties.
Finally ignor acknowledges our Will ✨🤩.
Shion & Julius on the other hand are being childish 😂, at least shion is intelligent enough to take decisive decisions at right time.
Edward Sensei killing those monsters swiftly without any casualties ✨.
finally proper introduction of enemies behind this messed up situation.
Will & the team arrives at the correct time for the rescue but it looks like enemy's are too strong.

Fairs I was gonna talk so much shit about Wignall, but he apologised properly to Will so he’s good in my book. This ep pretty much felt like the two of them realising how much they have in common and Wignall accepting Will as a friend.

Still think it was stupid as hell to take out your insecurities and anger on Will who you should be more empathetic than anyone else with given the similarities. I mean cmon they even both have childhood crushes who made Magia Vander and they wanna chase after lol? Names both start with W, outsiders etc etc. Was cool seeing them fight together to take down that monster and we got a taste of the full potential of Wignall’s illusion magic. Might not be as cool as some of the “elite” magic, but there’s potential there.

Sion and Julius still butting heads I see, even in a life and death situation like this lol.

Lihanna and Colette getting some nice bonding in and being open with one another, but man what a sight to run into. That headless terrorist who can use peoples’ heads is just disgusting. Then bro squeezed his own head and exploded it like a balloon?! That got dark real quick.

I don’t see why they’d want to destroy the barrier though.. lot of questions remain, looking forward to next week, should have a ton of action against that summoned beast. Hopefully the teachers get their in time to help out

Gonna love how this anime classified monsters based on its school credit instead of ranking or bounty reward.

Talking about school, I think this anime tackle belief that most entrepreneurs are university dropout or highschool dropout, but they're already making millions or even billions before dropout, so if you just dropout without plan then it's very risky.

I think there's a few classical reasons:

  • They infiltrated from the outside and want to open the path for their allies.
  • They think they can control whatever is outside the barrier to gain great power or influence.
  • They've been shunned, despised or feared because of their intrinsic nature and just want to destroy the world to make everyone else suffer like they did.

Wignall's real self being the same as Will as a talentless elf whose illusion magic is only good for show, he and Lihanna are practically the same: the latter who always looked up to Elfaria being true talent, and the former being totally just like Will who has a partner of his own: the Ellead Canaan of Ellenor Ljos Alv, who became a Magia Vander.

But the 11th floor is a showcase of where Will's swordmanship trounces over even the strongest magic, and in an arena where monsters are constantly spawning, monsters like the 11-credit Balkar proves even too difficult for Will to deal alone, and all he needs is elven magic, of which Wignall's confidence falters in the face of Will's willingness to try, fail and achieve victory. Even in the face of failure, Will choosing to believe in Wignall to strip his inferiority complex and trust in him, the two have finally come to an understanding.

Julius and Sion on their own, dealing with Evil Sentinels they call the Nightmare's Maw, and Sion still reeling in the effects of his defeat to Will while the rest of the student body also faces the wrath to escape, the professors scrutinize quickly to ascertain safety. Whilst the guys all converge together after getting lost, the ladies are on their own, facing the true enemy who wants to get rid of the Magia Vander's barrier to evoke the Calamity.

Everyone is together now thanks to Colette's crystals, but the worst is yet to come: the monster on floor 10 - the 270-credit Evil Grand Duke.

One hell of a final battle incoming, that's for sure.

It's okay but I getting tired that most episodes follow the same pattern - multiple flashbacks and dialogs in the first half and then plot and action picks up towards the end.

We saw right before opening that Will has been watching Wignal hence his complement prior. Now will knows they have the same exact story/goals with Wignal having a toxic childhood friend (possibly trained toxicity, but if she's at the top, why doesn't she overcome?) and quitting, while Will has a supportive childhood friend and moves forward.
That is the reality of everything, unfortunately you have to keep training, keep practicing, keep making mistakes, to be able to advance.

We got to see how Edward & Workner are upper-tier mages and learn of the "average villains" objective to make Chicken Little right about the sky falling.

This honestly makes a bit of sense to a degree. Students are not supposed to last to the 6th year, they are supposed to ascend prior to that. Yes they still ascend and go to the upper institute if have the credit requirements, but that's not the expectation.

If I recall correctly, Floor 10 boss was ~20 credits. This show is implying the Duke is ~13x more difficult than the Floor 10 Boss, which is likely why those 2 have no concern just leaving it with them to finish off since students are supposed to struggle to Floor 10 boss.
4/5, we likely didn't see Elfie in bed with Will plushies this time because she's enroute, whether it be through Rosty (Elfie (strongly hinted/assumed)) or herself.

The 11th floor is the hardest one to pass by. Normally, Ringarden Magic Academy students do not go in there, but there was an exception for few of them. I hope Colette, Lihanna, Will and other will be ok fighting with that headless thing and that beast worth 110 credits.

This episode proved how much supportive and caring Will is. He has a lot in common with Wignall, who has abandoned by his kin. Great episode and the animation overall is marvellous.

The melodrama moments were good but the action is back. The villains are so generic, they themselves said they are villains 🤣

This anime really needs better writing, the only good thing about it is the animation and the fights, but it's still watchable.

Wignall dealing with his own feeling of inadequacy. Something that Will is very familiar with. Constantly being looked down upon by his fellow elves for not being good enough at illusion magic. Only able to create images not solid objects like all elves can. Growing up next to the girl whom became their elf queen and vowing to protect her but falling short in the eyes of everyone. Wignall had a rough time growing up just the same as Will did. Lihanna bringing this up too that they may be prodigies in the school but beyond that they're nothing really. The only ones who remain in the school this long as the mages everyone outside the school views as lesser than. It was nice of Will to encourage Wignall to keep trying. That all his efforts haven't been for nothing. His goal is the same as Will's of reaching their childhood friend who's become a magia vander up in the tower. Wignall awakening his true potential following Will encouragement. The monsters in this part of the dungeon are absolutely crazy, their designs and power levels are terrifying. Will did great defeating them while guarding Wignall too. It was funny seeing Sion and Julius forced to team up and fight some high level monsters too. All those monsters pale in comparison to this evil duo we've seen wandering around the past couple episodes. Colette and Lihanna almost taken out by them until the rest arrived. Now they have to fight the monsters whom sent them down this low when things went bad.

So you're telling me a specific monster spawned in front of the characters that conveniently is only weak to elven magic just for the sake of elf dudes character growth. Been a while since I've seen such forced one directional character progression.

It's an inner battle for Wignall, as well as how Will deals with his friend.
Will also finally has a friend who is as determined as he is. The progression from a friendship with a background of pain, to a bond that will serve as a reminder for them to stay true to their dreams.

Will, you will achieve your dreams with your unyielding determination.

Ok yeah elf dude got that motivational speech and is finally being useful. Despite having the same dream as Will he's completely different. Still it's literally the same copy of Will's backstory and motivation almost. A talented girl and a boy with no talent basically. Also Wignall really just needed some positive encouragement to succeed. Imagine if all the elves didn't shame and talk down to him his whole life he might've made a break through much sooner. Wignall just needed someone who believed in him. Finally, everyone is back together at least on the 11th floor. The teachers are coming but idk if they'll arrive in time. Luckily The headless and other guy decided to just leave and go get the goods or whatever and summon Duke a monster worth 270 credits. More than double what the floor keeper they were going to hunt. We also learn about some mage queen or whatever? Has that been mentioned before? The mage queen's secret transportation magic the headless one can use somehow.

Also yeah the top students are inferior because they've been left behind by the truly talented. Those that are truly talented already went ahead and ascended the tower and didn't need to graduate.

I also liked that combo of Coleete and Wignal breaking Will's fall.

Oh man, this burning trash heap shines brighter than the Sun. I've never seen so much contrived writing in a series animated so well. It's like a taunt. Like they know they can get away with it. I admire their guts XD

So, I couldn't place the elf guy, Wignall, on the Quadrant of Wistoria Character's Motives (to catch everyone up: corner 1 is "Is Will", corner 2 is "Loves Will", corner 3 is "Likes Will", and corner 4 is "Hates Will") because he just seem like an empty, forgettable husk, and with good reason. As it turns out, Wignall is just a Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V of Will, but broody. And we all know it's the best way to write characters. BUT to make him "interesting" the author decided to give him the fastest character arc in anime history. We literally just learned that his magic didn't have substance and that's why he was shunned by the other elves, and 5 minutes later monsters appear that can only be beaten with elven magic, and suddenly Wignall's magic has substance. How convenient! Why build up tension and make us identify with the character, when you can just resolve their whole arc in 5 minutes and move on. Brilliant! That's a 4D chess move right there XD

And the villains, oh Jesus XD They themselves said it best: "We're just average villains!" Yeah, no shit XD Not even a hint of establishing any sort of motive or ambition, or a sense that the author even thought past that particular moment. It's just "we're the villains and we're here to destroy the barrier for the lulz, teehee!" and then they withdraw because... reasons XD

There were so many more moments that made me facepalm while laughing, but I'm starting to forget. It's just that kind of a show, I guess. I'll continue watching because it's unintentionally funny, a tragi-comedic train wreck, and I hope it stays that way, because I'm having a moderate amount of fun with it :)

I don't really get how the elves can be this much superior to mages to the point where the average elf is basically a prodigal mage, but somehow only one Magia Vander is an elf. Do the elves just not care about the position, or are their magic ceilings lower to compensate for the absurdly high average magical prowess.

It's also somewhat strange how weak they showed Wignall when he's supposedly better than both Julius and Sion, but they're doing pretty decent. Is having one broken arm that much of a disadvantage for mages? Only thing I can come up with is that Julius and Sion could be better at close-combat with the fire guardian and ice clones, but it definitely feels like they nerfed Wignall just for this moment.

I will say that the Snape Professor was very badass with beheading all of those strong monsters so effortlessly. I can definitely see why they call him the man closest to the Magia Vander. I also hope that these new characters are from outside the barrier because that part of the plot seems the most interesting.

So Wignall and Will both have in common aside from starting their name with W. He started showing himself as an arrogant ælf but that's just to hide his insecurities. After Will believed in him, both have now become friends. I like him and he is far better than Julius and Shion.

The enemy shows their true face, and it looks like the last two episodes will be epic.

I love to see that Lihanna and Colette have become friends too ❤️

And I loved the way Colette and Wignall immediately helped Will at the end when he was attacked, it was a cute touch.
