Another episode means another adventure and this time, it took them into the desert.

Episode is fine with the usual humor style. One thing about Sensei though is when he gets interested in something, he gets really interested. Seems this anime is expanding more into the world setting overall. Not bad.

The Land of the God of Sand and Earth, the Samstag region of a big desert land, it's pushing the girls into tiredness, though this is Nir's territory to know...or he should've known better.

Welp, the Other Worlders of the Huntsmen being the first toll for the group to pass, and Nir's about to draw his sword to sacrifice his life, though Sensei only cares about dying...or the fact thereafter with his poison power defeating a scorpion simply and easily leveling up. The kid may be a coward, but at least he knows the way...back to his home of an orphanage, to then have a feast that sadly is not to Sensei's tastebuds because there is no seasoning at all. The stories he tells are even more fearsome to the kids, but the howling starving wolf who hunts at night looms and threatens anyone wandering in the night, and Sensei finds something interesting other than what is present before them. Nir sensing a weird presence at night, and it turned out to be the benefactor of the orphanage secretly delivering food...and also being a pedo stalker lols. He just genuinely has a good heart despite being physically disabled, and Nir offering to help him while Sensei is the children's plaything, it's just suffering for the author lols.

Nate getting captured not by the wolf but the Huntsmen, it's a rematch which Nir still could not find the courage to draw his sword, and the benefactor...turned out to be that exact wolf dealing justice against the scorpion gang, because like them, he's also an Other Worlder who had lost his loved ones before, and uses the people to satisfy his thirst for revenge against evil, but selfishly thinking for himself only. The courage of Nir to stop the benefactor may've stopped him from going berserk, but Sensei berating him is the same as Nir not being able to move an inch, and his kindness for protecting the orhanage rules Sensei to be able to send him back to Earth.

Really great characterization for Nir and the benefactor, who managed to make amends with his hero.

Glad that he got to go back with a new perspective (and working legs) but I'm not sure it was the "right" thing for him. After all, he was helping the orphanage a lot so what's going to happen to them now?

Also despite the seriousness of the scenes, I can't help but laugh when I see that damn isekai truck lmao

Another amazing episode man I really run out of ways to describe how good this show. It’s just a really damn good seasonal, the family dynamic of the cast, the way the show makes me emotional like that ending with Nir and the mister.. just wow.

I love so much about this episode even from the very beginning how Tama comforts Nir and tries to cheer him up after he was too afraid to fight the scorpion so he doesn’t get too down on himself. The way the group feels like a legitimate family is just something you don’t see in fantasy seasonals a lot

Nir befriending Saitou was so sweet. While he came off as a little creepy, Saitou is probably the most pure and wholesome person we’ve met in this world yet. Lonely and afraid in both worlds, I can’t imagine how much pain he must’ve been in yet he still loved and wanted to look out for the kids. Never even got a thank you because he did it in silence, what a fella.

I hated seeing Saitou backstory though man I just wanted to give him the biggest hug, even sensei had to crack a smile at the end there because that really was a beautiful story with he and Nir. This is exactly the sort of confidence boost Nir needed and I can’t wait to see his growth.. I wish Saitou all the best back on earth and when that ED kicks in there at the end.. the waterworks started. Great ep

Everyone has their own way to fight. Some people prefer to fight head-on, some people prefer to fight behind-the-scene. This is life so there's no correct choice, only choices that make you regret or not.

I can understand the backlash of this with regards to the sensitive subject of suicide seemingly being made fun of, but i see it differently. I see this series as more of a beautiful drama than a light-hearted comedy, people complaining about the oversexualized women must not go out much if they don't think it's realistic... anyways, it's anime, it's a form of story-telling, it will NOT be everyone's cup of tea, but to deny the story itself for reasons you yourself may not understand is petty. I say give it a chance then judge accordingly from whatever perspective you may have and be objective, the story is arguably beautifully told for the setting it's given.

While it was good that the wolf guy got a second chance in his original world I wonder if the orphanage will have enough food now that their donator is gone (maybe there are other donators). Regardless of that, at least the desert biker gang should no longer harass the orphanage but they should still consider moving to a more hospitable area.

This shit was so beautiful..😭😭

Saitou story was so painful. When he got isekaid he rather used his powers to do good which he can't in his world. This guy was so genuinely pure.
The relationship with Nir was so wholesome. Nir was able to stop him from killing. Nir also changed Sensei opinion about him. Both of them were able to relate to each other and helped them in the end.

Hope Saitou finds more happiness with that boy returning to his world. This guy deserves it.

What an episode had me in tears. So good.

Nir's character development? 🤔
Interesting, but it's more interesting with that old dude. Well played for an episode!
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

@meganimeman I wouldn't say it's time travel. It seems that in this universe it just works in such a way that the time can flow for you opnly in one world at a time.

A different adventure was this time. It took place in a desert and while they were wandering, those evil-doers “Huntsmen” came and attacked them. Nir can consider himself a “valiant warrior”, because the kindness and determination makes everything.

It was splendid that Wöste Orphanage was the place where Nir grew and he can represent a source of inspiration for those kids based on his abilities and achievements.

Saitou-san wanted so badly to help the man who was taking care of him, but he couldn’t do anything. Coming in this new world gained the ability to transform in an evil wolf.

He was waiting so much for this moment😂

A great episode with a true hero who has a good heart! I'm not counting the one from the previous episode, but this man is genuinely kind, and what's great is that he doesn't rely on his power. It's a relief that he can continue with his life and with the kind boy who always helps him. I suppose and hope that everything he experienced in the other world will help him become braver in this one. Additionally, with this encounter, Near learned what it means to be a brave warrior.

I see some people are worried about what will happen to the orphanage now that the werewolf is gone, but the orphanage existed long before he showed up. As for food, the man showed Near where the oasis is, and regarding the bandits, I doubt they'll return after the big scare the man gave them.

What a beautiful Nir episode, the last few minutes almost made me cry, I'm a bit thorn about the ending not because it was bad but I'm both glad Saitou got back in time to fix his mistake of running away and return the happiness to that brave kid but I'm also worried about the orphanage and was hoping that maybe Sensei would make it so he can control his transformation or lose it all together and then he would become part of the orphanage, taking care of the kids.

Episode started out very goofy with the scorpion riding biker gang attack, but it turned into a very heartwarming episode due to the story of Nir and Saitou, I had a feeling the man might be an otherworlder when he first appeared, but what I wasn’t expecting was for him to be the wolf monster, I guess I had crossed out werewolf in my head because they lead us to believe it was a quadruped lol. And yeah I gotta say Saitou gave off some sus vibes at first with the whole watching kids while they eat thing, but he actually turned out to be a really nice dude with quite the sad backstory, and thanks to his rampage on the bikers he ended up helping Nir become the valiant warrior he wants to be, I really liked this scene.

And although Sensei nearly had Saitou painted in the wrong light, Nir convinced him otherwise along with Saitou, and man the last scene where Saitou got sent back to see that boy again with the ED playing was really good stuff, it’s too bad the orphanage lost their secret food delivery man but this is a very nice end for Saitou, I guess this means anyone can be sent back depending on how Saitou chooses to write his stories. Definitely a favorite episode of mine so far!

The episodes with the Other Worlders' stories are easily my fave ones, but I like that they're spaced a bit apart. Nir is such a sweet character, and I love how the ending is hopeful like the convenience store one earlier while still being somewhat open-ended. :,)

Best show this season, which is strange because I thought it would be somewhat typical. Honestly the story of that man was so good and seemingly came out of left field but it tied in perfectly with the whole courage thing. Thanks to sensei he learned more about himself and can live a better and less regretful life now. The 1200 points of poison damage was hilarious but expected. maybe not as funny as the two points of sleeping rollover punch damage though.

The show definitely has a balance of funny and emotional, and it is well delivered. Finally someone who knows how to write a story about a writer writing a story (stories).

@Alfredo-Sauce They (assumably) know about the oasis, but maybe they shouldn't have picked so much food all at once; you don't want to destabilize the ecosystem, though it was good narratively. I think they'd likely tell them before leaving.

@amf85 I don't know if he can choose where they go. I think it's likely tied to their story and/or destiny or fate or whatever. I think it was right for him to go back, because this world is kind of like a filter of how people can change their lives. So far only two have gone back, but they were ones that learned a valuable lesson. I wonder if or how sensei will change. I hope Nir will soon too given the revelation given to him by the benefactor.

@amf85 We've seen in the episode that his power, while it can help people, is slowly corrupting him.

This anime doesn't shy away from addressing sensitive topics and the complexities of human relationships. This anime is providing a thoughtful commentary on the power of connection and the importance of finding one's place in the world. Being a thought-provoking and emotionally resonant anime, it’s a unique take on the isekai genre.
I can’t say much about this anime, this anime's complex narrative, crafted by the author, is a masterpiece of the isekai genre. Words can't do it justice. It’s truly a PEAK for sure.

Yeah true about the oasis and hopefully the orphanage knows that their main supplier is gone. I'm probably looking too much into what is most likely a side story but they did a good job in telling the wolf guy's story within an episode, and adding that it is the former home of Nir.

I disagree with this. It may not have been good for the orphanage, but Dazai decided that his story was not right to continue as is--he had issues he had yet to resolve within his own world, being in another one only caused him pain hence why he refused to ever accept himself as the "hero." By returning, he could know that he was forgiven and could finally be at ease. He was never meant to be there to begin with for anything but the slaying of the Demon King, so when Dazai tore his story, he had decided that his fate should not be to stay in the world and he should instead be allowed to return to his home world. It seems that the job he was picked for was to make this decision, as we saw with the past other-worlders, he hasn't always been interested in writing a story of them and instead only gave them death. Furthermore, we can presume that if he did make a story then subsequently decided the story was fulfilling, he would keep them in that world. He made the right decision in that his story was anguishing for him and, without consideration of external factors like the orphanage, it would be better if he could return home.

@slathere I appreciate this response. I was thinking of it from an outside perspective, but after rewatching his scenes it does seem like he never felt like he belonged there in the first place and lamented his own cowardice that led him to the other world. With regard to his own personal journey, you're right. Knowing what he knows now perhaps he has the option of redemption.

As far as Dazai being the one to decide the fate of the otherworlders, I'm not sure. He does really only seem interested in writing the story and the gift does the rest, although he may be able to use it intentionally at this point as well (he did change the ending for Saitou when Nir helped him realize his story wasn't necessarily that of "failure"). Maybe through his insight as an author the stories he writes are closer to the truth of the subject's character rather than a personal judgment.

Whether or not gifts are specifically "chosen" or whether they're drawn from the personality traits and natural abilities of the wielder I think makes no difference.

I do enjoy when Sensei gets to use his abilities. Since he only can use them when his interest is piqued there's always some sort of revelation involved about whichever character the focus is on. I think it's a bit funny how it appears the person who can grant someone a 'second chance' at their original life is someone trying to end their own.

I'm surprised though some people felt that the guy should have stayed to continue protecting/feeding the orphanage. The orphanage was fine even before, it was just the other-worlders who were a threat, but now they're gone. The dude's original life may have not been grand, but it seemed like he was earnestly happy so I'm glad he got his second chance.
