| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Frankly, I think they put the Bugaboos in at just the right time. Tokuchi owning is awesome, but worthy opponents are going to make the next couple of episodes quite delightful. I guess you could construe the contract as requiring Tokuchi to pay 50 million for that run, as he did let the runner who swapped with Johnson on base, unless his contract makes every run made when he's on the field a loss (I forget). The manager's "shadow aura" was pretty funny. Also the very idea of playing Tokuchi at 1st base. |

| Hmm, one question - Tokuchi was playing as first baseman right? So when the double play was made, Tokuchi caught the ball and threw it at second allright but where did this another player (who caught the ball at first base) come from? |
| It wasn't quite as good as the last few, but it did well to set up the confrontation to come. Also, the art/animation looked like crap this episode. I'm not sure if it has been this way and I've been too distracted with what is going on in the episode to notice it or if this is a new development, but either way it could use some work. I was using the b2e tracker. It went like 3-4 kB/s Though, it suddenly got finished. So I guess it returned to the speed it was supposed to be. Well about the episode. Quite entertaining, I liked this episode. Looking forward to the next episode, can`t wait to see what Tokuchi is going to do about Johnson |

| One thing I don't understand is why the owner isn't watching the actual game. They should have owner's boxes so he can watch the game from a nice room through a window at least. I guess he doesn't care enough. |

Tokuchi rushed in to get the ball and second base covered first since he was already in the middle between second and first. Short stop then covered second base and caught the ball Tokuchi tossed. Tokuchi was in the grass in front of the second base player. This is why he said get out of the way, just go back to first base. Out field never comes into infield in major league. It's to risky. Even when they know it's going to be a bunt they wouldn't come into infield dirt. They would stay on the outskirt from where infield ends and outfield begins. If that was an outfielder then that was a very risky play. |

| @DeathfireD - Thanks for clearing that up. My baseball knowledge is incredibly lacking since the last time I actually watched a game was probably nearly a decade ago, but it would make a lot more sense for it to happen the way you explained it. |

| Pretty good episode, I don't know what to think about this super fast guy, is he supposed to be Jackie Robinson or something, only he could steal home against a right handed pitcher. I guess next episode will be his speed against Tokuchi's 128 km/hr fastball. |

| First episode that hasn't left me with that epic cliffhanger feeling. But they've set up the story nicely and it's going to be interesting to see what stratagies and mind games Toua will have to come up with! ^^ |

| I really would like to see Kojima play already, btw I would really like to know what force thae owner uses against the manager, that he obeys him so much. On the other hand, once he had to send him to defence, he looked like he didn´t want to do that so I bet he will stop listening to him eventually. And I want to know how Tokuchi will deal with not playing... |

| Toua has finally met his match against Shirooka. He is a really skillful strategist. Wow does that newcomer run fast. Damn... | I didn't know stealing home base meant to actually just run and not even hit a ball ... that seems like it shouldn't be able to happen. Every time they said bugaboo I thought of this song lol. I loved that song. The other coach is smart but Toua is smart too but can't believe they lost because of tattoo guy. I kinda actually liked his face tattoo and I don't normally like them lol. |
