Did Yuuji beat Sukuna for a revival without any conditions? Doubtful.
Did this episode set us up well for a fight next episode that should be pretty much epic? Definitely.
I'm not that fond of the excess of comedy in this episode, though it's a shonen so I guess it's typical.

Sukuna literally force yuji to accept his vow, and that vow give sukuna an upperhand if you think about it. Sukuna is pure evil, so never expect anything for him.

But, didn't sukuna make deal with him? And sukuna kinda slice yuji's head when yuji didn't want to accept sukuna's condition.
Which is : 1. When sukuna said "extension" yuji has to let sukuna take control of yuji's body for 1 minute and He won't kill anyone for that 1 minute. 2. Yuji will forget the vow
Isn't that a condition fo reviving yuji?
Cause as much i know this condition give sukuna an upperhand, cause if you think about it, if sukuna's power increased by eating a lot more fingers he maybe could control yuji's body and yuji can't do anything about it, which lead to sukuna can use more than 1 minute and can kill whoever he want. And yuji doesn't remember it at all which could make him in a bad situation.

Yes, those were the conditions. Because of those it does more harm than good so I wouldn't consider that scene plot armour. Also, I doubt he could control past 1 minute if he takes over using the "extension" chant. Doing so would break the binding vow and cause something bad to happen to Sukuna. He could only go longer than a minute and kill people if he took over in some other way.

Yeah, some people just really don't want to think about it, JJK is something that has deepth in it and people just seeing the surface of it, not trying to think what is the result if a certain circumtances happened.

Don't be. HE is THE OP of this show... only Sukuna can kill him with all of his 20 finger... IMO

Satoru is the type to give major spoilers then XD

So, that means Itadori will have to let Sukuna possess him when he says the word “Extension”? But if Itadori forgets about this promise then even when Sukuna says Extension Itadori won't really give a shit if he can't remember anything...

That fire scene made me go “Ah, Infernal”

Next episode will be the best, looks like Satoru's gonna take off his blindfold °Д°

Genuinely thought the part with that waiter with four sisters not wanting to approach Getou's table was just for mere comedy... dude, now I'm kinda relieved he left the restaurant in time. Too bad for his co-workers and the customers tho.

Uhm... so much focus on comedy for an episode featuring such brutal massive murder scene. Not that I'm particularly complaining but I would have liked things to remain in a more serious tone after that scene. It's a real shame Fushiguro's scene with the dead prisoner's mother lost all its impact due to said comedy tho.

Overall, still a rather nice episode. Tense scenes were executed well and comedy was entertaining enough. It also seems we will have quite the fight next episode so I look forward to seeing what Gojou is capable of.

No, I mean in seeing something fresh and new. This is quite generic so far and it plays very safe. I don't really care about its financial success if artistically it's creatively bankrupt. I don't even dislike it, I just crave something new. Something like TPN and Dr.Stone is a step in the right direction. I hope the two I mentioned in my first post can live up to the hype of being part of the "new WSJ era". Because this show, along with other WSJ adaptations in recent years, have been playing it way too safe by taking too much of past works that were successful.

Yeah, just wait until the next arc. That's where the manga starts getting into gear and carved a more original identity. The next arc provides one of the series best villain and a personal reason for Yuuji to strengthten his resolve as a Jujutsu Sorcerer. If you still don't like it, then this series just isn't for you. And no, the next arc is not the tournament arc.

Well, I actually said I don't dislike it. It's enjoyable enough and worth following for me, just nothing special. We'll see how far the author is willing to surprise us I guess.

Holy shit that restaurant scene was nasty

It will be interesting to see- if Sukuna is willing to not kill or even harm anyone while in a physical body, just what is he looking to do?

So much happened yet none of it felt rushed. Consider me impressed.

This anime is so fucking good. I haven't feel this way watching an anime for a long time, not that i haven't been enjoying the anime I've been watching, but this one is special. When Yuuji turned into a paper i was like, i can't belive they actualy did it and then they started talking about kamehameha, i was like yooo, wtffff.

The plot, man, this thing is amazing, it's plot twists on top of plot twists, nothing i expected would happen actually happened, is it showing that im fucking loving this show enough lol?

I can't wait to see the other episodes, but i got some shit to do now, so i'll save it for later. This isn't my favorite anime of all time or anything, but it's up there with my favorites for sure, this shit is so good. Would recommend to anyone

Episode very played on the comedy, but which also provides a lot of information so as not to be too unbalanced in the narrative on one side or the other. Some scenes are quite gruesome, which clash a bit with the playful atmosphere had in the initial part of the episode, but this balances the script in a certain sense, given that we are still talking about an anime with splatter and violent tones. The director does his job very well, both in the violent and funny scenes, the situation at the beginning of the episode is very funny when the character of Itadori wakes up. The characters of Nobara, Maki and Panda are also funny.

I don't know where u saw in the fight that hes not smart. He showed his ability to trick his opponent when he aimed his punch at the ground and throwing up a kick, taking Sukuna by surprise. Tanjiro and Giyuu both are armed during their fight, while Sukuna and Yuji both aren't, so Yuji can only use hand-to-hand combat. Plus sukuna can use curse energies and jujutsus so even when Yuji tricked him and landed a punch, he can still KO yuji any time. He only waited cause he needs yuji to accept the pact so he was going easy on Yuji, making him think that he has a chance of winning, then as soon as Yuji accepts the gamble he gets KO'd.

If you think about the previous fights of him you can see that he is acting straightforward and instinctive. He's not calculating outcomes or thinking about a way to win the fight. There was no problem since he was a gorilla in close combat until that fight with special-grade. He just lost the fight because the special grade was more powerful. Another thing is when Sukuna was talking him to have a agreement, he should have turned the agreement into something that will give him advantages. Best example for this is Sora from NGNL. If Sora was in him place, he would've outsmarted Sukuna easily.

if Sora is the mc of JJK, then JJK wouldn't be JJK no more. What makes JJK so good is having Yuji as a mc. I don't want anything else.

Yuji has only been in like 3 fights before Sukuna.

1: the fight at school. He was new to curses and his opponent is so big and powerful even an experienced sorcerer like Megumi has trouble taking it down, and Megumi's far from stupid, so Yuji literally can't do anything other than throwing himself into the fight cause he has no other choice.

2: the fight in the building. That was an easy curse you literally don't need to be calculative to defeat it.

3: the special grade. When the power difference is so big no matter what plans u come up with, you'll still lose. And we were shown Yuji doesn't even have time to think when he was facing off that special grade. It was attack after attack knocking him down. And we see before the fight too that Yuji was the one who came up with the plan to get Megumi and Nobara out so he can unleash Sukuna. So we know he's far from stupid and relying on his instincts. He doesn't charge into a fight with a special grade knowing the power difference. He used the opportunity that the special grade wasn't attacking to relay his plan to Megumi. Then he doesn't attack it either, he stayed on the defense cause he knows he can't win. Now, tell me, how is that "straightforward" and "instinctive"?

PS: I doubt Sora can outsmart Sukuna, a thousand year old curse who used to be a human+sorcerer with a bundle of knowledge about curses and sorcery, far more than what Yuji know at the moment. So even if Sukuna took over Yuji's place, he'd still have limited knowledge on this new world and Sukuna would still be able to trick him into accepting the pact cause he knows about pacts more than Yuji/Sora does.

hmm pretty interesting way of Itadori coming back, won't lie when i say i laughed my ass off when Sukuna offed Itadori in his realm the minute he accepted. But really interesting that Itadori actually had the conditions wiped from his brain, pacts can be scary i guess. I can understand Gojou wanting Itadori labelled as dead rn, but releasing him at a joint school festival of sorts out of all times, is pretty questionable, unless the festival is way bigger of an event than i think.

Some cool training for Itadori, pretty neat references this episode, bleach, naruto, dragon ball etc. definitely didn't hold back on the names xD

Training arc time i guess? Megumi and Kugisaki being trained by their seniors, and Itadori by Gojou. Mugumi seems to have something going, phasing through the ground? Inumaki going "tuna tuna" was oddly satisfying as well.

Fights brewing next episode, hope Gojou wipes the floor clean with that mike wazowski's looking ass mf, that curse killed innocents for no reason.

Ahhhhh this episode was a blast. There wasn't a single second I didn't love.

I may be totally projecting here, but this whole shit with the demons acknowledging the shifting power dynamic and Gojou monologuing about the corruption at the upper end of Jujutsu Tech... suggests this show will inevitably transcend this yokai hunting story into a rich story about demon/human politics, and if so, I'm fucking PSYCHED.

Welp, they formed a pact alright, but the second condition is really troublesome for Yuuji.
The way he just rose up from the bed so casually! LMAO XD

So, Gojou's ambition is to revolutionize the Jujutsu world by introducing strong members that support the same kind of goals as he does. Aside frorm that, I like the whole scene surround him when he welcomed Yuuji back. The OST in particular is so good!

Welp, whoever that guy is that dipped from his job. Enjoy being alive with your 4 little sisters. He made a wise choice that night.

That restaurant employee bailed out before he got fried to death (ToT)

That conversation between Megumi and the mother was pretty odd. Not sure why he said all those stuff to her like it would matter but whatever.

What are the police gonna do when they watch the CCTV footage and it only shows that monk in there doing nothing but everyone else were bursting into flames XD

Gojou's goal is interesting. It's true he can't just kill everyone at the top so he's raising people with the same idea as him. I feel like JJK's gonna evolve beyond the curses and monsters stuff which is exciting to see. Although, they still need to make it clear though who these people at the top are and who's the top bozo in the jujutsu tech.

Pretty much a training episode and some setups here and there. Next episode's gearing up for a fight between the big guns.

I think it is quite obvious at the point that tension is going to build between Yuuji and Sakura and I am excited to see more confrontations.

We saw more of the side characters in this episode which I enjoy especially Panda. I am very intrigued to find out the backstory of all these characters because each seen as unique and interesting in their own light.

Side note, I really like the soundtrack of this season and I think it fits very well with the overall vibe of this anime so far. And I am also really enjoying the gory parts
