| I aint surprised himmel loves dungeons, its the definition of being an RPG hero/adventurer x) Poor frieren got burned indirectly 2 xd  2 bad i already saw the clay-frieren on youtube when i started this series. Ruined a rather big event (unexpected af) so that sucks (cruchyroll loves spamming clips everywhere), but eh. |

| Frieren loves dungeons like these. She's having a better time than anyone so far. I wonder if she and Fern will have to fight duplicates as well? Speaking of which, it'll be entertaining to see how monocle man and his companions fare against duplicate Frieren. |

| Is the writer / creator an idiot?! Obviously, Kanne & Lawine would have teamed up with Frieren after the first test. How do you not follow your own setup in the previous episodes?! Talk about ruining an anime because you’re pushing an agenda. |
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating. |
| This might just be a dub thing but every time there's an intense action scene, it's almost always accompanied by that same somber, serious orchestral music -- it's become a little repetitive and it kind sounds like a boring version of the instrumental part of Playboi Carti's Immortal |

| THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN DYING TO SEE!!! Frieren dungeon delving! We've seen fragments of Frieren exploring dungeons and getting caught in a mimic from back with Himmel's party as well as her current party, but we've never seen a whole episode dedicated to just the dungeon. Now we do. Hooooly, Himmel is based AF. Bro is making me wonder if he was a gamer who got Isekai'd into this world because his habit of 100% clearing a dungeon including all the nooks and crannies, whilst saving the main path for last is totally what a true gamer would do in an RPG. If there's one other thing synonymous with being an adventurer other than the adventure itself, it would be dungeon delving, and in that prospect, Himmel is the GOAT. Why do something and not take the time to have fun? There are so many great fight sequences in this episode, all so fluid and on point as well, common Madhouse W. Denken's team is putting up a valiant effort to speedrun the dungeon, they're the opposite of Frieren who is a 100% completionist. Denken is a 'fastest time any% speedrunner'. However, the most thrill can always be found at the final boss' lair... [INSERT SOULSBORNE OST] The party trembles upon the sight of a familiar figure, a hostile entity who took the form of the elven mage, Frieren. The OST in this scene and the way the camera pans over to Frieren's doppelganger to build up tension was spot on, perfection. She's the worst possible opponent to fight against in this exam. A fitting final boss of the dungeon! |

| Interesting task. Conquering a deep, huge labirynth, full of dangers and traps waiting for tresspassers. Good that they received an emergency golem flask, just in case. However, I don't see it working properly in case any mage is killed before breaking the flask. I liked the magic showdown. Flashy and epic, magic spells going boom boom, hehe. Apparently, the final challenge of the second exam is fighting against mirror images of mages. Nice. For sure there will be more good looking action scenes in the next episodes. Especially when Denken's group has encountered Frieren's clone. Speaking about her, meh, this episode had another "haha Frieren and mimic" dull joke, with mandatory feetservice and the camera directed at Frieren's butt. Luckily, it did not last long. |

| good fucking luck to the others in beating the frieren clone. maybe there is some clear weakness as it is a clone and possibly 80+ years old and as such "outdated" but that clone thing is a cool enemy. the china dress girl is kinda cool. i knew what was coming when the old man said that no mage stupid enough to fall for a mimic would be here but it was still hilarious. fern just wanting frieren to be happy is adorable |

| Alright now Denken and the others have to deal with Frieren's clone, this is gonna be awesome, I'm guessing that they will eventually be able to defeat it 'cause I don't think the person using this magic would be capable of creating a perfect copy of Frieren. |

| huh? So the second test is to surpass the first rank mages by doing what they themselves can't do? Isn't this the height of hypocrisy? If the examinees don't qualify for first rank because they can't clear this dungeon, every current first rank mage should be demoted for the very same reason. Cringe af |

| I thought the replica thing was the 3rd test, where each candidate would have to defeat themselves- but it's actually here in the 2nd test as the dungeon raid, where it seems anyone can fight any replica at any time, which is way better imo. Seeing shadow freiren descending at the end there was so freaking hype. "I would've shattered my bottle already", damn. |

| Himmel being one to explore the entire dungeon is something i would expect a hero such as himself to do, and i like how Frieren picks up on that trait as we can see her group going all around the dungeon picking up a bunch of magic items. Denken group is doing well adn its nice to see there the one group who teamed up with another group, which was the right idea as there are plenty of challenges and monsters throughout the dungeon. Though the end of the episode isnt looking the best for there group as the just finished fighting a clone and now they have to fight the strongest clone in the dungeon, Frieren. Wirbels group seems to be doing good aswell, they all work well together and was smart of Wirbel to tell them to take on different clones instead of just fighting yourself. I cant wait to see more of these fights next episode. |

| What more could you want in a test than to explore an insanely large labyrinth! With this being fantasy I was waiting to see if they would do something with a focus on a labyrinth, so glad that we are seeing that. Didn't look to be anything too ominous, but it seems as they go further things are only going to get more dangerous. Since Denken's group are the ones who came across the Frieren duplicate I'm wondering if that means there is no way for her to have a battle with herself, or if her and Fern will have to go up against a duplicate of someone else. Either way, I don't think Denken's group is going to be having a fun time... |
