| Thorfinn was finally reunited with his family and friends. I had pretty much forgotten their names tbh. Ylva even has kids now. It was a heartfelt reunion. Lief will sail the seas again in order to help Einar and Thorfinn establish the land they dreamt of. Bro is the MVP. Clean shave Thorfinn looks good. Overall a great reunion and build-up episode for the next season. This season really blew up my expectations. It was a bit of a slow burn at the start but it was still a fresh breath of air from all the violence of S1. After that, it was just one amazing episode after another. This season and the "I have no enemies" trend it brought, really is a blessing. It has honestly changed my perspective and made me strive to become a better man like Thorfinn. I know it sounds cringe and cliche but yeah, this anime has really taught me a lot about life. Amazing season with outstanding character development from pretty much all primary characters. The animation was great, the voice acting was also good, and the openings/endings slapped so hard. This season was thoroughly enjoyable and will be a really memorable anime for me. This gets a well-deserved 9/10. |

| Very cute and satisfying finale for this season. Felt surreal to have Thorfinn back in Iceland seeing his family after so long. Vinland Saga totally could end here and I wouldn't mind. That said, season 3 when??? 👀 Great season overall. I like it more than season 1 I think. Thank you so much to everyone involved in making this series. I have no enemies. |
| He being scared of meeting his mom and sister was hilarious. That’s a sweet welcoming haha, Ylva is something else. This is actually the real one. I guess it’s normal that she doesn’t recognize him. I’m so glad Helga recognized him immediately. With those eyes, she would, of course, recognize him. Damm he has a lot of nephews. Ylva strong haha, she is Thor’s daughter for sure lmao. Helga is Thorfinn’s number one supporter and we love to see it. And of course, Leif. Oh my gosh he cut his hair and he looks good Well that was an incredible season. |

| I really enjoyed this second season and have never watched an anime or basically any show, movie or game with a character development as Thorfinn's. I do wonder one thing though, will Thorfinn stay a pacifist and never hurt someone again? Or will he still fight to protect his people? I don't plan to read the manga and a simple yes or no answer would be more than enough for me, for anyone that does want to answer, please spoiler tag the answer so others dont see, thanks. |

| It took awhile for me to adjust from the battle crazed Thorfinn from the first season, and I must admit I didn't like S2 for about half of the season.. but by the end I think I enjoyed it overall. I still miss the action though, but I do like the deeper character developments. I do hope S3 will be a mix of S1 and S2 though. If this anime chooses to folllow the real life history, I feel Vinland won't be as peaceful as Thorfinn will hope it will be.... |

| This was far better than I remembered it from the manga. Though I image having a long break in between two seasons helped a lot. I generally dislike the great shift in tone for any story. It doesn't even matter if the two separate genre is something I enjoy. Back when I was reading the manga, I started Vinland Saga and just like the first season, I saw the viking manga, full of battles, intrigue and psychopathic protagonist. Still that genre pretty much ends when we get to where story starts in second season. I deep story like we seen in this one is something that I like as well... however the great shift put me off when I read it in one go. Here however, coming into this season I knew that I should look at it as completely new story and that allowed me to enjoy it in the fullest. Though it's little unfair to look at it as completely new. There are many stories in which we have a protagonist trying to change himself and atone for his past. However pretty much all of those stories just barely mention the said past and at best we get few flashbacks. With Thorfinn however, we seen it all from the very beginning. In any case I don't know how far the manga has gotten since I caught up to it. It was little bit further pass this last episode. But I think I will just wait for the next season (which will hopefully come). If I remember correctly, starting from this episode really, the story tone will change yet again. |
| The only thing I disliked about this season was the Gardar/Arnheid arc and how Ketil does a full 180 out simp rage. Otherwise, it was a great show. |
| Overall a great season! I look forward to watching Thorfinn and Einar's journey to Vinland - if a third season ever gets released! |

His character arc is so utterly profound. Hearing the narrator summarize his arc as Thorfinn talked to the villagers gave me goosebumps. This has been the best anime I've watched in 10 years. |
