Great sword action in this episode as well as good pacing and the desire for curry. Best one so far.

Fran is now facing a lot of difficulties in defeating the dungeon master and she is also being overwhelmed, let's see how she comes out of this trouble.
I give it 6/10.

Great fight, sadly left on a cliffhanger. Can't wait for episode 6 (yet at the same time it means we're halfway through the season rip). The action is excellent in this anime but I think the logistics need some work. Like they apparently hid all the bodies they killed where they sliced through the monster gems. I don't see why they did it. For one, if not for the fact they bombed all those lesser goblins, it would seem as if she hadn't killed any goblins. It would be quite odd for there to he no sign of the goblin king and queen bodies, would be weird if they don't have any desirable skills. The other reason is why it matters. I dont remember the anime ever going into detail about destroying gems. I would think it would have to do with selling them but apparently you can simply sell random monster parts. I don't think Teacher's identity as an intelligent weapon is that important either. After all, all her equipment now has been forged by a famous blacksmith, so any theives should already be interested in selling her equipment.

I wonder if they'll ever use that kin summoning skill.

Monster gems were explained in the first EP, they are important to give the sword experience and new abilities. They aren’t hiding bodies, they are taking them, it was explained fully by Nell in the second episode. Adventurers need to take good care of a monster body, not to abuse it by stabbing it all over as the bandits did. Those will worth lots of money if Fran will sell them after this mission.

Teacher specifically said in this episode that they were hiding them so they don't have to explain the missing gems. Although the guild apparently cares how well the monster parts are salvaged, its not suspicious to leave the monsters a mess. Otherwise Fran shouldn't have sent all those fire rounds to wipe out the goblin army.

Crystals (also sometimes translated or referred to as gems, magic stones, demon stones, and cores) are a crystallized source of power residing within monsters. Destroying them means killing the monster. In the web novel and light novel, animals do not have crystals.[1] The stronger the monster, the better the crystal, and the more crystal points it gives to Teacher.[2]

Here’s what i founded, apparently he absorbs them

Yes, as I said he did. But in that phrase there's nothing about anyone else finding value in said gemstones, so I don't see why its so important to keep it secret. It could easily be answered by Fran saying something around the lines that Its a religious view to cut through their stone, she finds it more efficient to kill them by cutting and stabbing through the gemstone, or simply that she was more hard-pressed then expected so she stopped caring about destroying possible riches. As it is the others found it strange there were so little corpses. It just seems to be unnecessary.

No Gems Stone are Valuable and the most valuable part of the monster, they just don't explain it "yet" but it will be implied on Episode 6 and in this season if the story moving at this rate
so just wait and see for it
Hiding the body probably the best way, because the guild have rule "you kill it, it's yours" and they won't ask for further information where the body and gemstone goes because it's confidential
once your break the gem it lose the "important" part of the gems so it'll be rising more question especially if she break it so selectively and how you would explain that with religious excuse? it'll just gave you more headache

this is not your typical overpowered isekai, Tactic and hiding your personal information is important. fran quite literally alive because she hide the info that her sword is have their own thought and the one who own most of the skill fran use right now
her breaking Gem selectively probably would give a hint for some sharp adventurer and enemies real reason why she does that despite what she says to cover them up

I swore Garrus said something about crystals when she ordered her armor in the books, but they either glossed over it in the anime, or I might have mixed up the parts in the story.

I really wanted pure drama from this series. The moment Fran got her hands cut off.. THE LOOK ON HER FACE. A spark ignited in me. That was the thing that I wanted.. That face...
...but then he immediately floats her hands back to her and immediately heals them back into place...
Nooooooo... I wanted to bask in that horror, just for a bit longer. To have Fran be a weight for Shishou to carry, to teach him a lesson. It was finally going to be something great. And they swiped it. And I fear it won't be ever mentioned again.

I won't stop complaining. It was going to be a good gritty story for me, but they made it into a "feel good" show. No sense of emergency. Its good, but just the amount of wasted potential...

I like this show for what it is, but it's true that it could be something outstanding with higher stakes.

Pretty good cliffhanger there, she faced the consequences of continuing to fight despite her Teacher instructing her to escape, even if he reduced those consequences quickly.

Same for me except that this made me drop the series. I've been trying hard to give it a chance even with all the RPG mechanics bullshit but to just ctrl+z arms back like this? I'd probably be more fine if he levitated her severed arms, attached them back and then healed but regenerating them like that? ("oh no your hands' hp is at zero, gotta recover that!")
It's not a fantasy adventure anymore, just a game adaptation.

Oh shit finally a worthy opponent for them. Still got lots of Fran cute moment. But when he cut her hand and to think that they caught off guard like that then the demon manage to steal her sword skill. Well, that's quite intense if i can be honest here! Really looking forward to see the next...

He took her Sword Mastery skill, but not the sword's sword skill. And also... If I remember correctly the sword ups its owner skill so, insignificant loss?

I think this is beyond assumption. But yeah it seems it will go that way. And given the next ep name, we know how the fight will go.

Even though this whole journey to the final boss has been pretty predictable, the way it has been able to steal her skills makes it a little more surprising.
This most likely won't mean much, since I'm guessing the sword will just have something else up its sleeve to get her out of the situation, like maybe the feather.
I'm not sure if she will retreat, but staying and fighting now would look a bit dumb, since we'll just further see how much plot armour she has.
If they could make her escape out of this situation some what interesting then that would be good for the plot of the show, but I doubt that will happen.

Fran's overconfidence is really starting to annoy me. She agreed to use the teleportation crystal beforehand, but doesn't when Shisho tells her. Dude cut your ands off and now as the same skill as you. I thought they'd use the Summon Kin skill to bring in the other adventurers or at least take the fight over to the goblin. The demon may disappear without a master.
