| The start really just shows how much Frieren relies on Fern now, who knows how she'd be handling these quests otherwise. Getting to see Eisen again, followed by tales of the master that Frieren trained under, Flamme, sets up the next objective for her really well. The journey to "heaven", taking them past the demon kings castle with the purpose of speaking to a spirit of Himmel, seems like it sets up the rest of the show nicely. Although, with it taking 10 years, that will be quite the investment for Fern, who still seems to be onboard with it. |

| It seems like we got our end goal now, and a pretty cool one at that. love the gag of Frieren not being a morning person, and the montage that follows. I don't know how much my enjoyment of these four episodes would've differed if I watched them all at once, but I really enjoyed watching them over the course of a week. |

| The entire prologue of the manga has been adapted fantastically over the course of these first 4 episodes. Now we can look forward to watching Frieren and Fern go on an adventure as they revisit past locations of Frieren's past journey with her old squad. Thank you Madhouse for doing such a great job on this adaptation and for blessing us with a 4 episode start. |

| The music is so good. I'm constantly in a state of almost crying (Im binging these episodes one after another). I really dont want to see the dwarf pass away too. I doubt he will but still hope not. And god forbid if the ending of this series is Fern getting old and we see her pass on too. Guess the proper journey starts now. Very much getting Lord of The Rings vibes just without the impending danger. A casual stroll into Mordor if you would lol. |

| I’ve never watched an anime that was this emotionally heavy every damn episode. It’s taken me over a month just to get through these 4 episodes lmao. This is the most (un)bingeable show of all time, which is a good and a bad thing.. |

| So I did the math in case anyone cared. If 10 years is 1/100 of her lifespan. That means, for her, 1000 years is equivalent to 1 year of her life. So for ease if she were to live to be 100, she would live for 100,000 years. Just to give anyone an idea of what kind of timeline we’re dealing with, for her, it’s been a little over two years since 1AD. Or to put it another way, if she were born when the Neanderthals died out, she would still have 60,000 years left to to live. I doubt people would really care about this, but I think understanding that length of time helps understand her character. At least for me it does. |

| how old exactly is frieren? her sleeping habits are adorable and so human to me. like, i do hate mornings and have a lot of problems waking up early. and if i do have to wake up suoer early i just don't sleep (or i try not to and don't wake up at the time i'm supposed to and that's a whole other kind of hell). the more i get to know her, the more endearing she becomes. so, the first four episodes came out at once to set the tone for this story, it seems, and i do like the slow mood and the melancholy of the show. it's interesting having this come out now, after the pandemic and all. maybe the hype and reception of this has something to do with the times we live in. but it hits a sweet spot for me. i lost people to covid and my time and other people's time, and the time i spend with people i love, it's all been points i've been reflecting a lot on for the past couole of years. i don't know, i don't see death as a bad thing and this thing about heaven being a place that should exist, regardless if it really does or not is an interesting thought. i see frieren as a story about grieving, death and the people who stay, not the ones who die. maybe it's something i needed right now. maybe i wouldn't relate to this if it came in another time in my life. but i like this and i think it's being made in a very delicate way. this is probably one of the best anime this season for me. and probably one that i'll still remember after it finishes. |

| Good Show with good worldbuilding and a good storyline The world is somewhat based on Tolkien but manages to distinguish itself enough. It therefore becomes its own thing. |
| I see that Frieren is truly not a morning person, which can be so lazy at times especially in winter. Such a relatable elf, a baba i like all along. Tho she accepted the request from all people needed even if the payment comes from a fake grimoir. Ah the smiles from both alongside the warmth sunrise, truly blessed my heart in an instant.... Second topic, among a fake grimoir, there's one real note, coming alongside baba Frieren regret from the past. To speak a little with Himmel, the Hero. Flamme, as Frieren master knew it all along from the beginning, and that's exactly why such a pretty wise master like her left something behind to her beloved cute apprentice. That's it, the note, where souls rest, where Frieren might truly explain all the deep-down feelings over the Hero ends. Shall they manage? Retracing a mere 10-years past adventure. Toward the Demon King castle. This is it. The beginning of a Frieren beyond journey's end.... |

| Frieren's development is slow but it is happening and I am very satisfied with how the mangaka and studio has handled it. Very beautiful! |

| It's cute that in the second episode it showed Frieren testing a spell to make grapes sour. And then in another episode, a flashback showed the dwarf saying his favorite food was grapes (especially sour ones) and then this episode it showed Frieren casting that spell on grapes and them eating them together finally. Charming little follow through |
