| My favorite part of this episode was the moment when Kyo was thanking Anna and it looked like a flicker of life came back to his deadpan eyes. The way Kyo & Anna have connected has been such a precious delight. BokuYaba has been treating these two with tremendous care, forming a believable bond between a seeming mismatch. Back in the first episode, I was disappointed that the basic premise fell through immediately turning into a romcom. But as it went on, it delicately wove together something so much stronger, with two really quirky teens clumsily finding each other through their own awkwardness. Now that I'm at the end of this first season, I can see that Kyo's obsession with murder came from a combination of his academic successes as well as his insecurities when that fell short for him. I actually somewhat relate as I was often receiving awards & participating in spelling bees in grade school, only to turn to edgier things as a teen to cope with the feeling that those things let me down. As for Anna, well....SUKI! Really though, she was just such a lovable glutton and I think what made her interactions with Kyo so special was how comfortable she felt with him. Even if she did lower her guard a bit too much, it was how Kyo would constantly cover for her clumsiness that caught my attention for this series right away. On another note, the artistic direction for BokuYaba was breathtaking. The way the colors popped out so vibrantly was dazzling. I'm glad that iconic melting chocolate scene from episode 6 was just the beginning. 8.5/10. I came here for a Takagi murder mystery and I stayed for this one-of-a-kind feel good love story. |

| this show started extremely slow and boring. ep 7 is the first one i rated above 3. it basically got better when they dropped the "im a murderer" thing and they started to properly interact with eachother. this ended oddly though it feels like its supposed to continue but no this is the last ep of the season. s2 coming in 24 january i think? i guess ill take a look at that since this did get better near the end |

| Never expected this to be this good. I finished it in 1 watch. Some way a bit similar to Takagi san. I always like this kind of romcom. Hopefully S2 that other senior doesn't becomes an issue. For some reason I don't like that guy. |

| Kyoutarou is changing. Beautiful chapter. And ended the 1st season. Really, they adapted it too well. Now to wait for the 2nd season confirmed!! (Chapters 54 to 57 of the manga adapted.)             |
| That shot of Kana and Yamada teasing MC to say the latter's name looked exactly like those online drawings of two oneesan's harassing a vulnerable shota. Sure it was intentional. Decent finale, I guess. Kana was the MVP of it and MC finally managed to connect more than three sentences without stuttering while talking to his crush. Overall, probably the most awkward rom-com I have watched since Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san. First three episodes were the epitome of cringe, sex jokes as well as innuendos of any kind were anything but funny and I must say that Ichikawa's inability to read the room/understand the obvious really tested my patience on numerous occasions. Yamada could literally appear in his room, confess to him and beg him to bang her right there and this kid would still think she's just messing with him because that's what popular and attractive girls do. In summary, another generic romantic story with a fair amount of wish-fulfilment elements but featuring good production values and a decent sense of direction for the most part. 4/10 - Will still watch the already announced second season tho. Mainly because this last couple of episodes showed some slight improvement in the writing department. |
| It's one of the better animes to come out in the Spring of 2023, and what a great final episode. I am glad that Kyoutarou realized how much of an influence Yamada has had on how he looks at things. I love Yamada and her quirkiness throughout the season, and the final episode was no exception. Now, to wait for season 2 at the start of 2024. |

| Picked this up when it was airing, but I really wasn't feeling it during the first 2 episodes. It was weird and jarring, wasn't really feeling the characters too much either. But I was constantly hearing from manga readers that it vastly improves, so I didn't drop it just yet. Picked it back up the other day to give it a couple more episodes, and my god I'm glad I did. After episode 3 it improved so much! I started falling in love with these characters and I began seeing them for who they were. Every episode gave me warm fuzzies and was giving me a lot of stuff to laugh at. So many cute moments with these two, I was smiling so much. If any anime needs the 3-episode rule, it was definitely this one. Quickly went from one of my least favorite romances to one of my absolute favorites! Really glad I held on. I'll be eagerly looking forward to season 2! |
| Was half expecting a confession there at the end. Really liked how their relationship progressed from the start. Next season I hope there will be more screen time for her friends and the sister. |

| I seriously don't understand why this anime is rated so high. I watched it didn't get emotionally invested and didn't like the main couple at all. Overall it's a below avarage anime. 6/10 Most probably not gonna watch S2. |

| @Johntyson31 Glad you like it. Sadly I didn't enjoyed as much as you do. The anime which you mentioned below aren't my favourite : 1. Toradora : 7/10 anime it's slightly better than this one. 2. Horimiya : 8/10 Only watched the first season. I like the main couple a lot it was a nice watch. 3. Angel next door : Haven't seen it yet. My favourite romance anime are :- 1. Kaichou wa Maid-sama 2. Eikoku Koi Monogatari Emma 3. Hana Yori Dongo 4. Kimi no Na wa |
| Finished the rewatch in preparation for season 2 next month and I liked it even more now than I did previously. The start was iffy but not as much as when I first experienced it and the rest was great and kept on improving. Maybe a little bit of nitpicks I had with the 'I Hate Yamada' episode since I wished the conflict was a bit longer before it was resolved in like 2 minutes but I had no real issues with most of the episodes in the latter half of the season. This was a pleasant and enjoyable finale too for season 1 and it was nice seeing Yamada bond more with Kyotaro's sister and just family in general, even getting a better understanding of Kyotaro in the process too. Yeah this is definitely one of the highlights of 2023 and season 2 next month in 2024 should hopefully keep the franchise among the favorites for a second year in a row next year. Still prefer Insomniacs After School slightly more as my favorite romance anime but this was close. |

| What an amazing season this was, so wholesome! As I said in the first episode, I was reluctant to watch it because of the synopsis but did it since season 2 is coming next week and I am so glad I did. This really exceeded my expectations by a lot: 9/10. I was kinda expecting a confession given last episode but we got an half one when Kyoutarou thanked Anna for giving him the will to go to school which is basically an ILY anyway. |
| Yeah and then finally done just like other generic romcom out there, but with more pretty animation. I unironically wanted those early MC quirks "Developed" more because that's the unique thing the show really left honestly 6/10. Just bland all over the place but for some goddamn reason people overpraised it, there is no way this stuff reached over 8 rating here |

| I started watching this series on a whim. It turned out to be an amazing anime. This show does the rom-com genre justice(a very few do really). Seriously tho, I could watch another 100 episodes of these two go about their daily lives and still be interested in the show. Had a great time watching this!!! Off to watch S2 now :) |
| One of the best romance anime in 2023, I honestly can't believe I didn't watch it while it was airing. I watched the entire show in one sitting and I'm glad Season 2 is already airing so I'll get to that very soon. |

| I guess Yamada was not ready to be pushed down on the bed like that, but she certainly didn't dislike it. At the pace they're going, it wouldn't surprise me if they would go all the way in season 2. Man, I never was so excited to see two anime characters holding hands. The whole "murder my classmates" thing from episode 1 was really not that important, only to show that our MC is an edgy, introverted teenager. I know that this is pretty close to wishfullfilment for dudes, but I can't help but like this kind of shows. I can definitely identify to a certain extent with Ichikawa, overthinking relationships with other people because you have not much self-esteem. And Yamada... man, what a cutie. Just watching her eat was entertaining and cute. In the end I feel like there was a littel bit... more missing from this being a masterpiece. I still enjoyed watching this immensely and looking forward to season 2. 9/10 |
