The show started strong, was a good 8/10 until ep 11/12. Then it went downhill until the terrible last couple of episodes.
What a letdown!! I don't mind happy endings, it's just the whole development that was too weak...

Still a 6/10 because the art is beautiful, got attached to the characters and the concept was great. But wow, what a waste...
The romances are actually pretty well handled for once...
Why do so many animes tend to go trippy and all over the place in the end?

Conclusion of a story is so crucial, it's like mangakas don't know how to end a story properly, I get disappointed with mangas/animes endings half of the time...

It's a pretty classic ending for this kind of story and it's better that it ends happily like this instead of frustratingly!

Honestly Pathetic.
This Anime had a really interesting Concept and a decent start, until ep 12 it was interesting and catchy. But afterwards it became more and more a weak action based Show.
The Villains became more empty and generic, the writing worse and the ending was horrible.

Same goes for the final outcome. 300 years got changed and fixed, and it had ZERO effect on the current timeline?

Done. Not happy with those action packed 2nd cour. Too much "Copy" "Scan" blahblahblah terms.

Tho I'm happy for them in the end. Too much sugar.

Solid happy ending bruh wtf. Hizuru back to alive was all i care! Shide should've search something like these end, instead of his god complex reasoning that prove to lead him into such a stereotype antagonist shit. Maybe because he already lost what he love, Haine, in his case, he just become a monster like that, but still not erasing the point of him become a typical last boss character shit.

However, i'm still appreciate all the effort to put a time traveling concept of story, shounen-ish approach, and combining it too with a local supernatural myth story. Wishing re:zero to have this kind of happy ending too. But man those thing will be more difficult to wrap than summertime rendering. So yeah, really unexpected fun entertaining series. I may turn this into 10. But for my personal reason, i can't do that so i stick this into my 9.

Peace out and keep em healthy!

“I’m home”

What an amazing journey! This really has been a rollercoaster of emotions.. I loved both MCs and their chemistry (I’m gonna miss Ushio’s energy and beautiful personality 😭)

Didn’t expect such a perfect happy ending but that’s what made it even better 😂😭♥️

I’m so happy I was one of the people who gave this anime a chance and stuck it till the end!

Ignoring all the pointless fanservice shots, the first half of the show with a big mystery focus was really good. Definitely fell off a bit when it started to be more battle shounen. And the plot got more convoluted entering the "shadow realm" and Karikiri not dying despite both his human forms seemingly being killed in the cave system but whatever.

Man, what a ride. I can't believe I used to think this was a zombie anime from the first episodes, lol. The theories we came up with about the real identities of the shadows were pretty insane. The ending was very good, but I still feel this small sense of melancholy since everyone forgot what took place during those days. All those life-threatening experiences that brought them closer together…gone from their memories. Though I wonder if Shinpei and Ushio did remember. From their reaction to the promise they made when they were getting through the little gap in the old hospital, I can strongly infer that they remembered.

A happy ending for all, yay. It was satisfying to see Ryunosuke alive too and he has a daughter named Haine. For everything that Shinpei and everyone else went through, they finally got their happy endings. I'm glad.
Graduated High School in May of 2022. Summer vacation has finally arrived. I have once again regained the power of a new anime fan, being able to watch multiple anime episodes in a day. Time to binge-watch every single anime I can into the night until college arrives. SADGE. SUPER SADGE... College has begun as of Monday, August 30, 2022, so you won't be seeing me much around these parks. See you on weekends, I guess... School me is back. Sigh! I'll at least try for one anime a day with all this course load.

Boring epilogue episode. Was it really necessary for it to be 24-minutes long?

Disappointing show overall. Easily one of 2022's biggest letdowns alongside Lycoris RecoilHataraku Maou-sama S2 and Chainsaw Man.

First cour with the mystery/thriller approach was decent even though fanservice was lame and I didn't particularly connect with any of the characters but man, the decision of going full battle shounen during the second cour really ended up killing this adaptation for me.
Both Haine and Shide were awfully written antagonists and Ushio gaining convenient power-ups to keep the plot afloat sure became underwhelming to watch after a while. Not to mention the ass-pulls these last 2-3 episodes added in order for them to finally kill Shide.

3/10 - So... I probably missed it but did they ever explain why Mio is dark-skinned when both her father and sister look like they came out of one of Hitler's fantasies?

epilogue was superfluous. Typical of a show that spoon feeds unnecessary detail because the target audience can't be trusted to figure anything out on their own.

I'm actually disappointed that even at the end, most or all characters in Shinpei's travels, his comrades in arms while looping through parallel worlds won't be able to remember their counterparts from the other worlds. That was one of the things that I would like to have in the ending but it fell too short of my expectations. It was a good ride though.

I actually switched between the sub and dub while watching this and I'd say the dub mostly removed their accent from the sub but is still enjoyable.

Nonetheless, giving us a hint at the end that Ushio and Shinpei remember something from the parallel worlds more or less confirms that they, in fact (hope so), have their memories from the parallel worlds but it's pretty much just the two of them. This is still a worthy series in my mind.

Tokiko is still my favourite other than Ushio...

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Its so funny seeing the reactions of the ending to this anime because you can clearly tell some people were only watching (and rating it highly) for shipping purposes, or because they just wanted the characters to have a happy ending no matter if the storytelling ended up in the toilet because of it.

"I only like this anime because the two characters I like got together at the end" and "I only like this anime because the characters all lived happily ever after!" are some shallow reasons to engage with anime, but do you MAL.

Great anime! Did NOT expect a good ending when this started (although part of me thinks that it could have been better had a worse end came about). I guess I should always know with time travel that anything is possible lol.

Still feel a bit bad for the original shadow and Ushio’s shadow, so it’s not like a “perfect” ending.

Really a shame I had to wait almost an entire year to watch this. Easily one of the best anime last year.

I’m giving it a 10/10 hooked me right away and I loved the whole ride.

So overall I really enjoyed it. I had a blast trying to piece together the story and the rules set in place by the plot and setting. Characters were all really enjoyable, too. The epilogue I didn't feel was super necessary, but I'm happy with it.

My main gripes: I didn't like the very first episode, felt that one was way too rushed and I couldn't get a feel for the characters yet (but it massively improved the following episodes). The final fight with Shide honestly wasn't that exciting to me either, started getting a little convoluted at that point.

That was one of the best thriller/ mystery anime I’ve seen in years! Perfect from start to finished.

I loved the ending too with Shin & Ushio remembering that their dream was actually true. It was also beautiful seeing all the tragedy disappear in this new reality (especially Heine being Ryu’s daughter; that was so sweet)

Just like the first episode, I really dig the extremely "thin" summer atmosphere of the quieter moments, so I did like the epilogue very much. Overall, I was really into it for the majority of its run, and it even had some decent-great moments but those last stretch of eps (20-24) kind of ended up making it meh for me by the end.
The one thing that'll surely stick to me is the 1st ED

Been a long time waiting to binge this. And was not disappointed. Im a sucker for half heroines with the tsun tsun persona like the cherry on top. A happy ending soothes the heart after all that madness of survival. Knew what the twist was gonna be yet it kept me intrigued. Ah now gotta wait for another classic masterpiece to air.
When someone asks me why I like anime, I'd say Just Because.

A really good experience, like this show very much, unfortunately the only thing that I don't like is the ending. Maybe I have a poor taste but I would have liked it more if everyone, and really every character could have kept their memories from every loop. And really celebrate the reward that everyone truly worked so hard to accomplish. I really dislike endings with everything must had been a dream vibe, even though in this case Shinpei and Ushio sort of remembered at the end. But if everyone could have remembered then they would have really understood how precious life is and take better care of each other.
Especially the relationship between Sou, Tokiko and their father. I mean isn't his/their wife/mother dead? so why would their father be happy during the festival when he didn't have the conversation about "still having two kids and the people to take care of", doesn't make much sense.

Aight i'll say tis that this anime is pretty underrated, but anyways whew what a ride that was here. Loved the art style and the overall time travel themed going on in this one.
Basically, in short this story is pretty peak fiction with a happy ending and i'll consider giving this a 9.

It was nice that we got an extra episode that showed a good ending. Though I would have liked it more if the timeline had some other signification changes, because wouldn't his parents be alive if that event never happened? It feels like there are some plot holes.
