Yep, this is main fear. More garbage will arise in wake of its popularity. Stories that don't even tell a worthwhile story yet still make big money for being 'cool'. God help us all.
Sure let's be friends :) Sorry I'm kinda busy most of the time during weekdays, but thankfully on weekends I've got some more time to spare ^-^ how was your week?
Hmm, I think it's less that I disapproved of them doing it and more that I recognized it as a discussion that just wasn't for me at all. As an outsider, I found it funny specifically because of how different it is from the things I do. I'm glad you liked what you saw of my profile! Yours looks pretty fun as well, especially the character section and the actual entries themselves in your lists.
Thank you for your serious reply even if my initial comment was a bit provocative.
Spy x Family has a lot of scenes (especially the action scenes) that have reached a very high level of animation. Especially scene changes and color direction as well. The movements of the animations are often fluid like water (especially in the castle scene). Apart from moments of brilliance, it fluctuates in the "above average" range but giving 5/10 is a bit low, don't you think? The pacing was at least very fast, the scenes were fluid, the action dynamic and well animated (the only exception was the poorly designed backgrounds).
I was just surprised why you gave it so little, while you gave the main plot 7/10, even though Anya only goes to school, while the parents have a strange everyday life.
"That's why a lot of people are annoyed by this and call it "overhyped". Rating litterally anything 9/10 just dilutes the quality. The rating scale loses all its meaning.
It propels average productions to the top, which damages the quality standard for anime productions. It gives studio the idea that the viewers don't have higher expectations when it comes to production value, writing, pacing, art quality."
I agree 100%. Your whole forum post was perfect, actually.

I don't think I'll find this one particularly interesting either, to be honest, I always lose interest whenever a manga loses its way
Though I am probably never gonna pick it up, neither the anime nor the manga
