| wow it's been a while! i also barely remember anything from s1 LOL was horimiya always this funny bc i was absolutely dying during some parts, especially the excuses sengoku and miyamura were using to get out of swimming |

| It's back baby!!!! Honestly would've preferred this to be included in the first season, then have it end with a second season. But I'll take what I can get. Really missed watching these characters interact with one another. It's gonna make my summer a whole lot better knowing that they'll return each week! |

| Miyamura is back. I'd remember Horimiya first episode is a masterpiece, while this first episode is just a normal episode. Well, glad it's actually a new scenes, even though I don't really remember everything from the previous one. Wait, why Sengoku didn't want to swim? Ge can't swim isn't he? |

| I'm so glad this spinoff exists. The only issue (but still a very major one) I had with Horimiya was that it was RUSHED. Whole source material adapted in like 13 episodes. Similarly to that Ranking of Kings spinoff we just had, it's main purpose is to cover the content what was basically essential. |

| It could've been better if they adapted these into the anime earlier though, but here we are. Horimiya is back after two years and it's definitely worth watching for this summer! |

| the first few mins kinda bored me until the room/bath scene with hori and miya, that was nice. and the girl's uniform thing was funny. oh, also those guys looking at ayaski's feet LMFAOOOOOO bro basically said "for free?" just an alright episode overall, but horimiya is back and let's see how the rest of this spinoff goes. |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

| Started out really loving Horimiya, but that love dwindled into indifference at best as the show went on, and finally left it with no more than a feeling of "meh". Was it because of all the skipped content? Would that have smoothed things out a little? Idk. All I can say is that I loved the first two or three episodes of season one, and didn't think too much of the rest. Which was sad, I really wanted to love it all. And now we're filling in the gaps; not that this has any crucial storyline to it that would fall apart if you take out any one moment, but you know, it's nice to get everything that the manga had originally. So now the question is: is this going to feel cheap and tacked on? And for now the answer is, yes, a little bit, but I won't call it cheap. It seems like they're giving it their fair share of love, and not COMPLETELY like a product which is the result of "oh sh*t we kind of messed up the first season by omitting so much, quick let's put it back real quick to make everybody happy!" If this episode is anything to go by, I don't mind it at all. I'm assuming there won't be a lot of drama, since I guess they took all the important moments and crammed them into season one, and left all the light-hearted stuff like two guys making up excuses for not going into the pool. And actually, I kind of prefer it this way. I'll treat it as the extras, which it probably will come to be, but these are some good extras. This episode was kind of funny actually, was it always this funny? I can say based on what I remember, that I enjoyed this episode more than most of the ones that came before. Ik it's mainly a romance, but if they can nail the "com" part of the "rom-com", you don't have to go too hard on the "rom". Anyway, we'll see how it goes. This was my first episode of the Summer 2023 season, and I enjoyed this first episode quite a bit, when I was expecting not to. Maybe having low expectations helped a bit. |

| This was sweet, like it's nice that skipped content is getting adapted in some form and it was great to see the characters again. Some of the humour in Horimiya just doesn't really mesh with me but overall it was a nice episode! |
| Fun first episode. The only thing I don't get is when does this happen chronologically? Before Hori and Miyamura hook up, right? Because their relationship doesn't look this close this episode |
| I am so glad they're adapting the chapters they skipped. It might be confusing for the anime-onlies, but it shouldn't be hard to follow as these are just chill and funny moments. I always said the Horimiya gang are one of if not my favorite friend group in anime and these skipped chapters are what shows that really well, so I hope anime onlies sees peak friendship as well. |

| im so glad horimiya is back, and i love the fact that they are showing more of the fun school life activities. Even though its only the first episode it was still wholesome and funny. Cant wait until episode 2!! |
