This movie was so f***ing dumb that is makes me mad! This anime just went to a whole nother level of stupid... I have so many thoughts, I don't think I can even make sense of all the bullsh*t I just watched... But I'll try to, humor me for a second...
Riko deciding to go up the stairs knowing the curse coulda killed her was damn reckless, but I understand I guess because she was rightly worried about her friends. But even then, why tf did any of them, Reg, Nanachi and Riko trust and accept that evil sh*thead's offer from the start with taking refuge in his base? Like hello, he's an evil bastard psychopath and you know he is from the start... They shoulda approached him as an enemy knowing he can't be trusted. They should have been ready to blast him from the get-go with Reg's incinerator or to have a plan to destroy the base or something, yet they just naively accept his invitation thinking it's okay? Like how can anyone be that stupid? Also Reg was getting dissected and lost his arm and it didn't get fixed, how tf are they supposed to go on with a one arm Reg now deeper into a likely more dangerous level of the abyss?
Also wtf is the deal with those white whistles? A person has to be sacrificed to be able to create one? Seriously? Who in their right mind would willingly sacrifice themselves to be used as a tool for someone else to be able to continue further into the abyss? That's straight up madness. It felt like such a forced detail out of nowhere. Also felt rather forced that the Prushka girl became the one to be a whistle for Riko, felt like lazy writing that was just being forced... Also if it can only be used by one person that it's intended for, then how tf are Reg and Nanachi able to accompany Riko into the 6th layer if she is the only one with a whistle designed only for her use? So what then, you're telling me she gets two bring-a-friend-free passes with her because she has a white whistle? Is that how it's supposed to work? I mean lets assume for argument's sake, even if Reg doesn't need one because he is robot, that still doesn't explain how Nanachi is able to accompany them...
And also this Prushka girl, I get that she's an innocent clueless girl, but how is she so blind to not see her supposed "dad" is an unforgivable evil psychopath? They were never related and even if he kept her around for a while pretending to be nice and deceiving her the whole time while she regained her sanity; surely she could see how f***ing evil he was when he was dissecting Reg or when he didn't hesitate to carve her up to use her as a tool to then try and hurt her friends? Like wtf, she should have had the realization at some point during this movie, yet it never came.... This sh*t is so twisted and makes no sense.
Also how are all those people on his the Bond villain's team okay with him doing all that evil sh*t? How are they okay with him just swapping with them consuming their body's and consciousness whenever he needs a new body? Do they not have a mind of their own? Are they all brainwashed from the start somehow? Are they already under his control before he even takes over their bodies? I mean I assume that they have a mind of their own since we are shown they have slightly different personalities, and since they have at times questioned Bond's decisions. So that really does beg a number of questions, are they just as crazy and batsh*t insane as he is to give themselves both bodies and minds to his crazy cause with no regard for themselves? Do they really have such a disregard for their own lives like that? Unless they think of him as some sort of god or deity, I find that very hard to believe that they would willingly go along with his madness. So many questions and plot holes in this movie that make no sense! It's actually pissing me off.
Another thing that really pissed me off, the evil villain tried acting like the good guy at the end, and we as the audience are just supposed to accept that? WTF! This evil bastard has no remorse for his actions, he experiments on innocent children and tosses their lives to the side like he's wiping his ass for the sake of conducting research and his own selfish ambitions to "challenge the abyss," or whatever tf that even means... And they didn't even try to kill him or destroy the relic giving him immortality? Like yeah, lets just leave and move on like it's no big deal... ahhh, hello? He's a psychopath doing human experimentation on small innocent children, f***ing end his miserable existence while you have the chance for the love of god! He's gonna keep being an evil bastard murdering children for the sake of his experiments and research, that f***er deserves to suffer and rot in hell for eternity, yet our main characters just let him off? Like wtf dude!?
I'm sure I could think of more crap that doesn't make sense, but this is just what immediately comes to mind upon watching for the first time. This anime went from maybe a 8/10 in season one to a 4/10 with this movie, it's so stupidly abysmal that it's making mad! Also tf is wrong with the creator of this sick and twisted shit? That dude ok, what drugs was he on to make some sh*t like this? Seems a bit unhinged himself maybe...
