Great ass finale! Dynazenon's main selling point is definitely not the kaiju's, the cool mechs, the battles and all that, but the characters. The mechs and kaiju battles were just a bonus, the show had such fantastic characters and character interactions that I think it's one of the best in anime in recent memory. Gridman and Dynazenon are really good but I definitely enjoyed Dynazenon more.

Koyomi with that glow up though, but I'm with Knight here "Who are you?" lmao, he looks so different. But hey, glad he found a job thanks to his "friend's" husband. And Chise was hiding that badass tatoo all this time damn. So happy that Yomogi and Yume ended up together, their laughs at the end were amazing and I see they were cosplaying the Princess and Gauma 👀.

"Scarred Souls Shine Like Stars", they shone indeed. 8.5/10 ~ 8/10

Really looking forward to that Gridman x Dynazenon sequel, let's fucking go.

Dynazenon’s ending put Gridman’s to shame, Jesus christ the execution of that fight! The combinations and sequences changing from char to char and screaming their inner thoughts were amazing! Yomogi’s instance domination was so damn hype! I did not expect to come into this series and end up being able to connect and love these characters to this extent because the only thing gridman gave me was boring mc, epic Rikka thicc thighs and Akane titties. Dynazenon has outdone its predecessor by a long margin, and I vibe with the ED of this show, Uchida Maaya’s singing has improved dramatically, I did not even notice it was her until I researched the song and her name popped out as the singer.
Character relationships and development were def the best parts of this series, something Gridman lacked so badly.

Also my ship, Yomo x Yume has sailed! Lets.GOOO!
Gauma is presumably alive! Lets.GOOO!
Dynazenon x Gridman coming!” LETS.GOOOOOOOO! (Hoping for Rikka,Yomo,Yume and Gauma appearance and chars from each series interacting with each other and combo fusion mecha fights!
8/10! Very enjoyable series, and by the end I was finally able to enjoy the mecha fight!

So overall impressions of Dynazenon, I thought the battle scenes were awfully slow and boring, I didn’t understand the point of the whole story, the ending was dull and predictable. After finishing the show, I don’t want to ever watch another series in this franchise. Only thing good about the show was the stupid bits of comedy which still wasn’t enough for me to even consider this show better than a 5/10.

Very nice to see all the forms again!! I do wish to see all the bad guys again and Gauma. I however still don't really care about the others in Dynazenon if they appear again. Wow Koyomi looked different Looking forward to see old characters in next one.

pretty decent finale for me i enjoyed the overrall story of gridman more but i love the characterization in Dynazenon much more , the whole season i was kinda waiting for the final arc to really make everything clear but it felt like quite a few things felt left unanswered despite it feeling like a proper ending

with this Grid X Dynazeon maybe 3rd times the charm with the best of both worlds with storytelling and good characters lol ,if it goes any more in the future seeing any of the old cast might not happen

7.5 for this one

Just finished watching it. It quite a very good show to watch, especially with the character centric focus it has from Gridman. Could it had more? Certainly. But what we got was just as brilliant as a shiny pearl.

And man, I think Yume may still have long path before trusting others again, but with Yomogi on her side, I think it will be a good one. And at the very least, Koyomi and Chise can still remain close as ever even when split.

the direction of the last episode was great I'm speechless to say to this ending that gauma also practically died he disappeared didn't explain much what happened to him or So I didn't pay attention to what I had shown, but it also had a good outcome as Dynazenon 6/10.

i think it was a good episode for the finale, it made me feel nostalgic even though it barely ended and it wasn't much of a tearjerker but it was nice seeing them for the last time cause i doubt there will be another season

Overall it felt like a collection of mini stories instead of a grand story, so the anime feels unfulfilling, I found some of its loose ends lacking which shows a down side for the anime as well. I didn't enjoy this, at least not as much as I did for SSSS. Gridman

Yeah that’s basically my take as well. The show had 3-4 smaller stories, almost none of which overlapped and none of which really had the proper time to resolve in any kind of satisfying way.

It’s like they took Gridman but didnt do any of the things that made Gridman unique or memorable.

I share a lot of these feelings. Big meh from me overall. There was a surreal feeling to the whole series, in large part because no one really addressed that the kaiju kill people. There was such a cordial relationship with the oh so goofy eugenicists that just ignored they're mass murderers. And it's not like this was swept under the rug. We get big, dynamic shots of buildings crashing and a plot point based around that one guy being in danger. But somehow this never seemed to impact anyone's emotions or get addressed. We almost touch on it in the last episode with Onija saying he wants to be rid of humans, and Shizumu almost presents a nuanced take by pointing out the amazing powers of kaiju. But... what part of those powers requires you to rampage? I don't understand kaiju's feelings is really not the important thing in deciding to not demolish cities.

This was alright, but a bit uneven. Yume's development was excellent but it felt likei it kinda took over the plot and as a result everything else felt a tad half-assed. Chise in particular really needed a couple of more episodes.

Ah and the whole plot with the Kaijus and the mummy... yeah, to be honest, I'm not really sure what happened there.

Overall enjoyable anime. A pity that other than Yume x Yomo, the other characters didn't get more satisfactory endings. Looking forward to seeing what comes out next with the Gridman x Dynazenon universe/multiverse.

Its now episode 12 and its really good! and the last episode as well.. just when knight was also in a pinch, the whole gang gathers just one last time to fight against the enemy kaiju, which is actually sizumu himself! And when the whole enemy team also gathers under one kaiju.. for one final fight on who really is right, whether it be the enemy or them.. also, one thing concerns me at the end when yomogi tries to do instance domination for one last time.. he had a talk with sizumu, where it concerns about freedom.. as we are all alone in the world, it also doesnt mean that we are left to walk alone in this planet.. some may call it being chained, but most people call it bonds.. anyways, i rate the anime a 10 of 10, 10 for both story and art.. :)

Simply put, i think Gridman had a better story than Dynazenon. This one, it took several episodes for something to happen and got hooked pretty late, had a weak start imo. But the 2nd half of the show, yup, sure was good, don't regret waiting for it. This ending, i feel like it was okay, nothing spectacular in all honesty.

7/10, good show still

By far, Gridman and Dynazenon are Trigger's best anime. Incredibly fun mecha and kaiju shows with a likable cast of characters. Hell, even characters you thought you were supposed to hate end up surprising you. Yume seemed like a brat in the first episode, but one of my favorite aspects of Dynazenon ended up being her naturally developing relationship with Yomogi. She was a great character.

Needed more Chise!

Boy, Dynazenon had some stellar production and animation these last couple of episodes. What a joy to watch. Bring on more of these shows, Trigger!

Fantastic episode, great final battle, another fantastic anime by Trigger, they always seem to do it so well for me, loved every episode just like with Gridman. Loved all the characters, liked how each of them got a happy ending of sorts, really enjoyed it. One of the things I love about this series is how much focus on the characters there is
UkRs said:

For an ending.. this was nice.. we obviously didn't got a lot of answers.. but this SSSS world.. answers be damned here.. its all about characters and their interactions and i freaking loved that about this anime..

Pretty much sums it up.

The OP was great, but the ED is probably the best this season for me, such a good ED, fit the show very well and always put me at ease when an episode was over. Gonna miss this one big time, I’m very excited for the crossover series that comes next, very glad they’re continuing this series.
Jun 27, 2021 3:56 PM
I dislike how they ruined Koyomi and Chise, they don't even have proper interactions with Yomogi and Yume. They feel like strangers to the plot and Gauma in general. They should balance better Koyomi's subplot and Yume's subplot especially when Yume has better characterization and development than Koyomi.

This final episode is not too good or bad but overall it is a meh anime with better twists and characters. Slightly better than Gridman. 6/10 for the anime.

what did that last conversation between Yomogi and Shizumu mean?
my brain wasn't functioning the whole time during the series but afaik Kaiju are an allegory for human emotions. I don't really understand why it would be Yomogi in that scene instead of Yume, since she actually overcame a traumatic event throughout the show

These motherfuckers know how to do a final episode properly. The anime was ok and meh for moments, but just like with Gridman, the ending didn't disappoint.
Now if only Trigger had done Wonder Egg Priority, we wouldn't have gotten that blasphemy of an ending.

This is far more conventionally Trigger than the Gridman series is, which could go either way depending on personal preference.

An unequivocal issue however is that the mecha portions here are far less competently integrated with the character drama than they are there. Frankly, the discordance between the two makes the show fairly difficult to watch for extended periods.

I personally found SSSS.Gridman (season 1) better than this. Only thing this season had better is the characters. Season 1 was better plot, mystery, ending, more logically sound and lot more engaging. In this season even the mecha fight /combination was too much repeated decreasing the anticipation factor. Overall still decent and had somewhat good conclusive ending.

love the epic hype fights, new gridknight combo.
Showing the differences of Shizumu vs mc, that they cant understand each other.
Good realistic sol that make characters feel real, energetic battles, Yomogi Yume ship grew naturally & cute. Slow plot pace not fan of, and more cast were the passive downer types than Gridman, that just feels less entertaining. Backstories good but on the vague awkward side & lots of loose threads that feel incomplete.

It was alright. I didn't watch SSSS.Gridman but I have a general idea of the setting so things were understandable. The story was interesting but I wish there was more to it. The characters with their personal problems is usually the central theme of this series from my understanding which was nice. But I didn't like the forced romance between Yume and Yomogi. The mecha was the main thing that had drawn me to this show but it was disappointing. The battles feel like they are aimed towards a much younger audience considering this is all part of the Gridman/Ultraman universe. Overall I think it's an okay.

It's really hard to say how to feel about this show, on one hand I enjoyed the interactions between the main characters, even the cross interactions between the kaiju users and the gang but on the other hand, this season is somehow a lot less compelling compared to Gridman, be it the overarching plot or the finale. I felt like the show somehow overplayed Yume's past and had a lot of ambiguity towards Koyomi's and Chise's but though it could have worked, the message that it was trying to convey somehow didn't resonate with me. I would say it's a pretty good show overall but I can't shake off this feeling that something was missing, even though the show is already quite packed and peculiar in the first place. Overall I would say I would prefer Gridman over this.

I really hoped to say that this ssss iteration is improvement over the first one especially I thought the first couple of episodes were brilliant and tightly written monster-of-the-week episodes and the characters' drama started fairly interesting however at the end it felt like the show wasted opportunities with playing it too safe and solving them magically with that episode 10. Final episodes were fine and nothing felt really rushed and wrapped neatly.

Dang, maybe it's because most of the kaiju tend to be slightly goofy, but sizumu's kaiju design was pretty freaking cool man

As a whole I'd put it on par with Gridman, but it feels like Dynazenon's ending was more solid. Maybe it's them talking about scars that will never heal, paired with the piano playing in the background. It just feels better. However I'm still giving it the same score as Gridman, 5/10. Solid, a bit random, but a good time overall.

Now where's garyborken guy to give us some more interpretations that we probably missed? Also maybe it went over my head or was just a gradual thing, but when did Yume find peace with the death of her sister and the possibility that she committed suicide? Because well she seemed pretty okay at the end so I was wondering what happened. Or maybe that's the point of the scars, the fade away, but they'll always be there. She'll never be able to fully cope with the death of her sister, but she has learned to overcome it. By battling kaiju in a mecha dragon. Makes sense

Last few episodes were great, but first half or so really dragged this anime down as a whole. In the end I feel it wasn't as fun as Gridman - if anything at the beginning I forced myself to watch it simply because of coming collab in Azur Lane.

Also, I seriously didn't recognize Koyomi there lol.

I wouldn't be so sure tbh. Right after that we see Yomogi turning around surprised, as if he saw something, but nobody is there. At best it's left open to speculation imo.

Or you know, it's just a way of anime showing that he is being missed? Such thing often happens when one character thinks they saw someone dead just to turn around and be disappointed. At least to me it's rather clearly such case in here.
And honestly, there is no reason for him to survive: his reason of dying was explained and seemed unavoidable. Then nothing happened that could work some miracles or w/e - no space magic, no friendship power - they just beat the bad guy. Him suddently being better would be extreme asspull or even plothole (based on earlier explaination).
