| Well damn, the girl (Linea Maguel) that collapsed on the wayside and accusing Wayne of kidnapping her, it's a misunderstanding. While Ruri's sudden entrance made her all nook and cranny thinking that both Linea and Wayne are physically close together, she has business to attend to with the Guild, and it's about a strange occurence in the town. And it so happens to be Gull Town, the town of asparagus, which Wayne just exaggerates much lols. Damn the suspicion that weighs on Wayne's shoulders learning that Linea has the mindset from her father that all men are wolves, Wayne certainly isn't one. The route to Gull Town sees a horde of orcs chasing after Wayne for no apparent reason, and her pendant which has a tranquilizing effect helps calm his nerves, and the soldiers there holding mops instead of spears, is just hilarious. Turns out, the town itself has all of its people brainwashed, which leads to everyone acting strange, and it's thanks to Linea's family owning a pendant shop that neutralizes the effect, and Wayne has to investigate this with detail. Lemuru Horn, the Lord of Gull Town, is not spared from this as the instigator of this incident, and both Wayne and Linea acting as their usual to avoid suspicion. Sure enough, it's a demon's brainwashing that instills the pendant to its statue, and Vritra is the next demon in line to kill Wayne after its allies were defeated by him. Wayne wouldn't go into this without help from his backup of both Helen and Ruri to deduce this farce. As for dealing with the demon, Wayne definitely felt the love of asparagus etched into Lemuru's mouth, but not using it to defeat Vritra kinda defeats the purpose, for real. Wayne's harem is growing with Linea, and as for Helen and Ruri, you got more competition coming. |

| Ok, I've adjusted to not expecting much from this show, and can better appreciate the silliness. I absolutely love the dedication to asparagus in the episode. This is what I signed-up for after the dragon-kill with the carrot in the first episode. Al's expansive, excited, asparagus ramblings, the Lord's hallways decorated with asparagus-themed art, even the Lord's salvation though tasting a mouthful of the stuff. Hilarious, absurd focus on farming elements, lite harem parade, OP MC. The story kinda lagged for a few eps, but maybe I was expecting too much. When the season is over I'll go back and rewatch through the silliness lens and maybe ill are higher. Cheers. |

| Well this episode was something. I liked the buildup here: a town whose inhabitants have mysteriously started acting strange. Al has to help solve it. Yadda yadda. But the climax of this episode is so dumb lol. Al's friends just happened to follow him and Linea and somehow find out all the important pieces of information (off screen of course) and relay it to Al. And right at the climax, Al breaks a communication stone they gave him, and boom! Everything's solved! :D But the dumbest part was how the lord of the town, who at this point is still under a demon's control, gets cured with the ashparagus that the town produces. That definitely felt like a forced resolution, haha. Al's obsession with the town and its ashparagus was pretty fun though. |
| A direct contrast to last week’s serious episode, we return to some lightheartedness focusing on a new girl named Linea. I actually quite enjoyed this one, it looked like another fantasy plot that takes itself too seriously but it was actually a fun one and had some good gags. Defeating the demon by using the town’s lord’s love of asparagus was pretty funny lol, and I also liked the fact that the random kidnappings earlier in the episode were actually relevant to the story, being Helen and Ruri in disguise and secretly helping Wayne behind the scenes, I didn’t suspect a thing but maybe I had my brain turned off too much lol. And I also really enjoyed Linea, she actually made more progress romantically with most of the girls so far in the same episode she was introduced in, and she seemed pretty set on Wayne at the end there too lol. And the demon’s CGI was pretty garbage but he didn’t ruin the episode for me or anything. This was just an all around fun one and I’m hoping the show can keep this up for the last two episodes. |
| The CGI was astonishingly weird as always. Btw, I could've laughed more from Ruri's misunderstandings from the earlier scenes but the animation really sucked that I was really disappointed with it, however, the sound coming from Ruri could've been a good match if they just fixed it instead of just "zooming in" only... Linea could top the best girl in this series after this episode, from my perspective. Anyway, Al and Linea's interactions were really cute and funny. |
| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
