One of the most anticipated new series this Fall, and truth be told, they are NOT kidding around.

The amount of violence and gore of this episode truly sets the story nice and slow for a series that I hope it's just as good as LN readers were hyping for this for the next 5 months, being a very different type of Isekai fantasy story.

Cid has that Code Geass Lelouch touch though, so stylish. Also, OxT never fails when it comes to their fantastic OPs.

NGL, the best premiere yet (until Chainsaw Man arrives).

That was incredible. Loved it! The way they made things serious in tone gave Cid's goal more weight. I like how the episode was focused on just that goal. It made the reveal at the end that he wanted magic hit harder. While I can see the comedic appeal of the manga (even though this anime is adapting the LN), I think showing his goal in a serious way gives a solid foundation for the rest of the story. It's still obvious that Cid is not right in the head before the reincarnation.. just in a different way lol. The opening is creative, shows the love the studio is putting into the show.

That's not how taste works; it doesn't magically change to gold as you enter your twenties. The meaning of "quality" evolves as you make comparions to comparable works. That means you have to actually care to begin with as well as have the time to care. Many adults with a life who work their asses off most days of the week actually seek dumb and stupid series to watch after work in order to cool down; and that also includes the Japanese salarymen who are the main audience of many of these low quality shows. They don't care about the "high quality" stuff; they find something that gives them a chuckle and that perfectly fills their needs. If they can keep up with the series even if they skip an episode because of their busy schedule then it's even better. Juvenile dumbasses are much more likely to be overcritical of series because they actually have time to waste watching dozens of anime series and compare every bit of them to whatever series they chose to be their Holy Grail based on whatever biases they had at the time.
