| This episode tried hard but didnt come close to be good, Mitty dying again was meh, I couldnt feel any pain, the village getting destroyed is something I couldnt worry about, the whistle stuff is appalling and the Reg-Faputa fight with flashbacks gave me Naruto vibes and that isnt good, 4/10 episode and the season stands at a 5/10. PD: Faputa overexcited behavior doesnt help and the OST failed a bit too. |
| Nanachi and Mitty, Vueko and Irumyuui, Reg and Faputa. All these pairs are bound by fate in a way that allows them no permament happiness only very brief moments - if that. Damn this is so sad. The ending becomes more and more relevant and was so well chosen for this season! Now I am really worried for Reg though. I mean Ozen already tested him pretty thoroughly but I do not know if he can endure this princess. Bothm physically and psychologically. |

| Maybe I’m a monster, but I just want Faputa to destroy that damn village. I don’t know if I misunderstood, but Irumyui still has some sort of mind. So is she just eternally in despair??? That’s disturbing. Destroy the village and kill the villagers who were there originally and ate the babies (are all the villagers that way? Can’t remember), they’ve lived long enough on the tears of that poor child. Sorry Riko, I get they kinda helped you, but I don’t feel an ounce of sympathy for them. Riko is so weird sometimes… |
| Damn I was starting to side with crazy bitch fupta, I hope everything gets destroyed lolz but the damage has been done, and seeing someone you care about keep on suffering regardless if its tru or not is a hard pill to swallow. |

| Wow.. that scene of Nanachi with Mitty at the beginning :") AND WOW. Faputa really shows her brutality. She took out all her grudges and spared none of them. It's really heartbreaking to see Faputa and Reg fighting against each other when they had such a sweet relationship back then T---T even Reg cried :((( |

| Alright, I'mma be honest here. I cried a little when Nanachi had to give up Mitty for a SECOND time. Sigh. And the conflict between Faputa and Reg. Sigh. At this point, I don't care how it ends, I just want everyone to be happy. |
Graduated High School in May of 2022. Summer vacation has finally arrived. I have once again regained the power of a new anime fan, being able to watch multiple anime episodes in a day. Time to binge-watch every single anime I can into the night until college arrives. SADGE. SUPER SADGE... College has begun as of Monday, August 30, 2022, so you won't be seeing me much around these parks. See you on weekends, I guess... School me is back. Sigh! I'll at least try for one anime a day with all this course load. |
| Most emotional episode of the season so far and it did not disappoint the slightest. Backstory or Faputa and her relationship with Reg really works well in this story overall , the visuals were beautiful when they needed to be and the musical score was top notch , I don’t see how could I not love this episode . Very happy that Nanachi managed to give Mitty a send off of her own ,now it’s gonna be very interesting to see how this upcoming big fight finale unfolds |

| Great episode, those flashbacks were so cute and were the exact opposite of the present fight. The ending songs opening line “I still remember you” also shows how Faputa remembered Ref but he didn’t remember her. Awesome |

| The flashback of Faputa & Reg and with Reg remembering a few bits, all beautifully connecting to one with Hanazeve Caradhina playing.. damn my feels hurt :'( |
| Cool to read that in the manga their was a reason given for Belaf's change of heart, it didn't bother me that much in the episode itself since I figured it just had to do with Faputa coming in and the force field/boundary line entering in. Kinda thought having that clear out was something that shifted him but the idea of his memories all coming back due to Faputa's works better. Nanachi's second goodbye to Mitty was good, but definitely lacks the emotional impact of the original one. I think it makes sense to bring back Mitty with this arc themes on individual value, how Mitty's scenario relates towards Irumyuui's/Village dilemma, and I guess allowing Nanachi to be the one to directly "end" Mitty is another solid reason I suppose. I wasn't emotionless during this but I certainly hope they don't pull the Mitty card again, diminishing returns & what not. The original moment had me fighting tears, this one I just thought "this is sad". The stuff with the little ones coming after Nanachi to give her that helmet was more emotionally effective I think, so the scene was still effectively upsetting. Surprised we skipped to Reg waking up, and a bit worried about Kaja not being in the protected group with them. But the following fight was really brutal, Faputa was certainly not doing any mercy killings here. I could've done without the oral fisting or Faputa stuffing her head down Reg's pants in the flashback, but that's Made in Abyss for ya. The rest of the episode was excellent though, I loved the transition between current day & the flashbacks, the final transition especially being really effective. Especially with the reveal that the flashbacks weren't just for the audience's sake, but they were for Reg, as they communicated his returning memories (even if he doesn't necessarily remember everything we were shown). That reveal makes position these flashbacks here feel more meaningful, it's already more dramatically effective to feature them here for the highlighted contrast in relationship, but it removes any argument of it being placed there as a narrative cheat when it's also functioning as a character moment for Reg. |

| This is my favorite episode of the season! Faputa has become a genuine character and not just a plot point. After the village's story, I got an answer to my question about Faputa's relationship with Reg. The battle between them is one of my favorite scenes in the entire anime! The flashbacks were perfectly placed, followed by a smooth transition to the present with the perfect OST playing in the background. This episode made me cry and connect with the characters more than any other episode! My bro Kevin knows his stuff! I'm willing to give this anime a perfect score of 10/10 just for this episode! |
