Not gonna lie. I was expecting them to stop the bullets from killing Metropoliman, just for the sake of not letting him die.

Glad I was mistaken

Same. Even when the bullets entered his body I was like, "I can't wait to see what garbage saves this guy now."

This was the first non-trash episode in a long time. It's also hypocritical as hell considering that the MC assisted in the murder of another person. How is holding someone down while they are killed not murdering them?

Not that I mind because it was long overdue and I was sick of the whining. I'm sure the fanboys will say he did what he did solely because of the red arrow, yet he QUITE LITERALLY refused orders to use the white arrow. Why can he disregard one thing, but submit to the next?

The show is trash. I was hate watching it just to see if/when Metropoliman finally died. Time to either drop the show or see if it can somehow continue to do a 180. Either way, it's a huge letdown of a very interesting premise. Which is par for the course for this author.

By far, a proper 10/10 episode for me (you appreciate such episodes when an anime is already going on a really bad note)

Mirai wasn't annoying & did impress audience
Kanade begged for Mercy
Mukaido completed his dream
Saki contributed
Great OSTs & environment around this ep
A sad death of Mukaido
And What not!!!

Only one complaint— How the f* those people navigated their location and how were they really watching that fight live lol, except that overall a great conclusion to an arc which got too much hate until now

After much bullshittery Metropoliman/Kanade is finally dead. Good riddance. Though it doesn't make sense why Meyza disobeyed the request to transfer the white arrow to the left hand of Kanade. All the fight scenes are cool but pretty much all of them feature some form of asspull like this. I'd say he was one of the only good characters at the start of Copper End (villain-wise of course) but then the last 2 or so episodes completely ruined him. "I just wanted to reunite with my sister whom I accidentally killed!" lmfao. And now Mukaido is gone too which was long overdue. I'm glad he got to absolutely obliterate Poliman and get his happiness.

So what's next? Don't tell that kid is another kami candidate? That'd be dumb as hell.

Wow.. what kind of a plot twist is that ?? For the first time this show really really surprised me. Last 6-7 episodes were so slow paced and they literally stalled us, now they are killing 2 of the most important character in one episode..

What I don't understand is that aren't God candidates can see other candidates angel material (like wings and arrows) then why they couldn't see that Kanade is already get shot by another candidate ?

Kanade's death was brutal.. didn't expect at all.. but his last words were kinda stupid. How can you talk so much to both Mirai and Saki when so many bullets are rushing towards you ? :D

Good bye Mukaidou.. best character in the show. You will be missed.

I don't like child/loli antagonists. They just look funny and stupid to me. New antagonist doesn't excite me at all.

Also why Meyza betrayed Kanade ? Then when Kanade died she was like ''Ugh what a disappointment -_- How could he died ?''

It did take quite a while, but this episode marked the deserved end to Metropoliman/Kanade. It did feel more satisfying to see him beg for his life as he was at the mercy of Mukaido's massive gun ripping him to shreds. Signal.MD does deserves praise for not holding back on some of the more graphic parts of the episode.

Having said that, we also had to say goodbye to Mukaido, arguably one of the best characters of this series. His monologues was well done, backed up with some impressive OST as he finally took out Metropoliman, but he reached his inevitable end and died in hospital surrounded by his family, Mirai and Saki.

It'll be interesting to see how the story will go on from here, especially with the kid behind the mask also showing his face as well. Overall, this episode was genuinely pretty good.

This was a Great Episode!
They used the CG pretty good and fighting scenes were very well animated. OST also played a vital role in carrying emotions through out the episode. Mr. Mukaido death was sad to watch but atleast his wish to not let Kanade become god came true. So, this is end to 1st series can't wait for 2nd series.

Gotta give credit where credit is due, they actually did it, the siscon is down. I was gonna fucking flip if Mukaido died before he pulled the trigger lmao. But man, what a way to go out, RIP Mukaido. Though, the guy that actually gets shit done is now gone.

Really liked those shots with the super detailed art. Show has been a mess so far overall, but this episode was definitely not bad. Now I am wondering who the real main antagonist is, cause I don't think it's the kid.

Great episode! This was actually a very good episode and finally, Mirai stopped being a coward and him and Saki managed to get hold of Metropoliman’s hands meaning Mukkaido could kill him. The manga panels used very nice and effective imo in that scene and you could see how crazy Kanade was as he got shot. Unfortunately, Mukkaido died which was upsetting to see. He really was a hero.

Looking forward to the next episode!

Po-li-ma-nn, lost. Looks like that kid really had something goin on with Poliman. But i feel like he will be the next hindrance for the god competition. Not to mention he also the god candidate, looks like. Whatever the plot lead on, i am fine. Then i don't like that glasses policeman. He looks like to be the future trouble for Mirai. Not that its bother much, though. But, damn, as boring as how Po-li-ma-nn death, the story kinda become stalemate and more unenjoyable at this point. Furthermore, they didn't even change the damn oped. At least show some respect to Mukaido, by changing visual to him for a while. If the next episode still using Poliman visual, they can be damn.

So anyway, lets see if there's something interesting goin on later.

I think this is a good enough conclusion for me. There is probably some plot twist later on but I don't think it'll get much more interesting. The concept of the wings and arrows wasn't all that great and mindgames could be done much better. I expect we will be back to depressed teenagers next week.
Pretty weak series overall. What seems like interesting concept at the beginning, didn't really go anywhere. We are back at episode 1 with fewer enemies.

OK, for once this was finally a GREAT episode to put an end to the whole Metropoliman arc.

Mirai vs. the 99%-turned-100% Metropoliman, after seeing his face, the battle to see who's the next God. After all the talk to Jutsu of "fighting fair and square", the action where's at for the trio of Mirai and Saki to stop Kanade in his tracks for Mukaido to take the final blow before he succumbs to terminal cancer.

Metropoliman trying to earn sympathy at this stage is already too late, and I'd thought that using Mukaido's manga imagery panel really elevated his character, much less so from Kanade Uryu's final moments captured live.

RIP Nanato Mukaido, you will be missed. The GOAT character whom is useful until his timely death. It's sad to see his soul depart and taken off with Baret, Mirai and Saki being tools for his ultimate goal.

Poliman lost, and that's all it matters: One life, for one step towards happiness. This was a great finale for Kanade's cradle-to-death sequence rightsmack towards the halfway mark of the manga. FANTASTIC episode, and the first high point for Platinum End so far.

One for kinda filling in a plot hole (if I understood it correctly)

Ah, I was hoping Mirai would work up the resolve to use a white arrow by declaring Metropoliman a non-human (since he has no qualms against killing a virus with the white arrow). Turns out Kanade's already been hit by a red arrow (could they ask who it is before killing Kanade or would the love have been too strong?)

The man in public talking about god definitely harkens back to Death Note.

Instant death by Mirai's white arrow would be too merciful for the things Kanade's done.

In a convoluted set-up, Kanade's begs for mercy and offers bribes as his pathetic self is secured by Mirai and Saki to be turned into Swiss cheese by Mikaido.

Damn, Mukaido really died a hero's death. His wife putting that last cigarette in his mouth; his god candidate feathers touching his daughter before fading away.

The boy in the mask watches everything unfold as a god does.

Well, it was to be expected with the backstory dump last episode. Especially, since it was shining an especially negative light upon him - to create more hype around his death.

We also lost Mukaido too. Ngl I thought he was going to get taken out before he could pull the trigger, with all those slow-mos and flashbacks going on.

The two best characters out in one episode.

Pretty good episode but isn’t it kind of a plot hole that Mirai wasn’t affected by Mukaido’s arrow in the previous episode but in this episode he was affected by it? They also brought up conveniences for for Poliman to die and pretty much threw away their debate and his goals from the last episode. That being said I’m kinda glad he died because he was such a shit character. Rip Mukaido, he was a solid character and the best in the series.

Mukaidou was one of the biggest factors in the series and at the end in hospital it was a great conclusion leading to Mukaidos death and the suit he gave Miri came in clutch when metropoliman started stabbing him but overall it was unexpected I didn’t think Metropoliman would actually get killed I thought he was the main villain but I guess not
I mean yea because they him up as he displayed his ideals and purpose but just threw it away. I would be mad at them for wasting a character like this but Poliman was such a bad character I can let it side.

I think it wasn't because of the arrow, it didn't work before because arrow isn't perfect.

Remember in the segment at the sports stadium where Kanade tells that guy to die, he freaks out and refuses, pulling at the handcuff connected to the other girl to get away, and Kanade muses that the limit of the red arrow is that you cannot get people to kill themselves with it, that's because most people value their life more than love.

My theory is that MC values other people lifes more than love, so he is resistent to the power of the red arrow when asked to kill, something that even when in love he cannot do. But in this case he wasn't the one pulling the trigger, and he realized that letting him live would mean that a lot of people would die, so he isn't as stupid and soft as before.

Anyway is just a theory.

I understand that but but indirectly killing still directly goes against his principles and it’s implied he 100% wouldn’t have done it if it wasn’t for the arrow controlling him. We’ve seen people resist the red arrow even if it weren’t to kill so I just assumed Mirai’s feelings were strong enough to overpower the arrow. The problem with Mirai’s ideology is that it’s just super flawed. Disregarding the fact he wanted to find happiness from what his mom said like 10 years ago (which he didn’t listen to until his aunt died) how can you try preach about happiness and you’ve yet to find it? The thing is happiness is different for different people (which Mukaido proved in the episode)

Well, on that, i completely agree with you. I think that the thing with Mirai is that if he kills someone by his hands then he is no longer the perfect God candidate, but somehow he has to realize that in order to save people he will have to get his hands dirty.

I mean it can happen but I mean they missed the perfect chance to show that development by forcing him to comply with a red arrow. Would have been perfect if they maybe would have captured Poliman just to then show us that imprison can’t even solve his problems. Even though I think Poliman and his ideals are atrocious, the show kinda wasted him and his goals. He never really displayed his ideals properly and just really hated ugly peoples. I like how he says Mirai doesn’t understand because his lack of education even though they literally go to the same school. 🗿Even though I think Mirai is a terrible character and his ideals were done much better by others characters, Poliman has to be one of the worst antags ever imo.

I'm calling it right now. The kid is going to be the new antagonist which is perfect because

A) this show loves to abuse, sexualize, and torture minors for shock value
B) MC is a simp and since Mukaido is gone there is nothing holding MC back from letting said child trample him like a doormat

So now it's just going to be torture porn a la To Your Eternity style until some literal deux ex machina kicks in and saves the day but Mirai will learn, and do, nothing.

I hope the next villain is socialist who actually wins since we've already seen pacifism and totalitarian ideals at play , spice it up a lil

I AM SO PISSED AFTER WATCHING THIS. (SPOILER AHEAD) MY FAV CHARACTERS DIED IN ONE EPISODE LIKE WTF. OK I KNOW THE AUTHOR WAS TRYING TO MAKE THE PLOT INTERESTING AND ALL BUT STILL IM SO PISSED.
at this eps, we knew that uryu was under control someone's red arrow which is the fact that he's "forced" to be a metropoliman. and i suspect that the kid with donald trump mask is the one who controlled uryu (poor kid). so, i expect the kid will be the new antogonist which is why im so excited for the upcoming eps. i really hope it wont flop tho.
now that mukaido has died, kakahashi have to find his own way out. and of course, with the absent present of mukaido, kakahashi will be easily manipulated. but who knows? maybe another character development on our way?
so overall, this eps is somehow emotional for me

Fucking finally the standoff ended and that piece of shit Metropoliman died. Sad to see the only good character (Mukaido) go away but at least he got to gun him down.

Btw, that angel of knowledge was such a forgettable character contributing very little with what she apparently knew. We ended up learning more from Mirai himself than from her. Also, what was up with Metropoliman's friend? Is that going to be another loose end?

I didn't like the episode but it was definitely better than the last one for sure.

There's still 10 episodes left. Ugh.
