Does the curse also say that she has to do it with multiple people at the same time? Regardless of the answer, the degeneracy starts to creep in new animes recently and I'm not a fan of it. I don't care about being spoiled. And I don't think I'm wrong. It's stupid every time I see it and it won't change. Sexual scenes in anime are becoming more degenerated the more time goes by. |

If by monsters you mean the different races of demonfolk, then they aren't monsters, they are sentient, have feelings etc etc.Though I grant they may seem a bit more aggressive or bestial than the other(more human-like)races,thats simply because the demon continent is a harsh place to live. You may feel that these scenes are not necessary to her character development/progression,but later on you may find that those scenes have a valid reason to exist, since its a basis to look back on to see if she has grown or not.As has already been pointed out,she is like that for a reason, not because she wants to be like that, though I suppose she's making the best of a bad situation in her own way. As for the different backstories, how else would you find out how Ruijerd and the other Superd got their reputation? - How else would you find out why Roxy has such a fear of Superds? etc etc Backstories are often necessary to explain the resaons why the person in question is the way they are,or act as they do etc |

I don't know if everyone understood this episode. Roxy's race uses telepathic communication, so most of them don't speak, and only a few, who are responsible for communication and shopping, deliberately learn languages. Although her parents learned language for her (just like sign language in real life), she still can't communicate with most people, which is why she doesn't want to stay in her hometown. |

Man, these fuckers really had to make me cry 2 episodes in a row. I like how both episodes dealt with family and making up with them, this was such a fantastic episode. The atmosphere in it was insanely good especially in Roxy's village. Like you can really feel the isolation. I really liked the way they portrayed Roxy being unable to use and understand telepathy. The intro scene was pretty hilarious with Ruijerd. That first challeger was really wholesome and then the other challengers just ruined the wholesomeness Ruijerd was feeling lmao. Man really smiled while Rudy was puking. Did somebody just say turning point. Glad Roxy found out about Rudeus now and that he is safe, she can focus on finding Zenith, Lilia and Aisha. Reallly looking forward to the next episode. |

Pretty much. Hell, Rowin didn't even want Rudeus and Eris to be there initially till the chief spoke to them and Rowin finding out about how Rudeus was acquainted with Roxy. And they were children too that were in a random location. So yeah, the tribe is pretty closed off for the most part and isolated in its location too from everywhere else at the Demon Continent, and since they speak to each other telepathically, they're pretty closed off as a group overall without much need to interact outside except for maybe desperate situations or for the chief's case, communications with others outside incase anything happens. Learning how to speak physically isn't what is required there except the parents for their kid so that they can communicate somehow and the chief for potential communications with outsiders if needed. |

Idk, it's something about a series having so many good things and then there is sometimes those degenerate stories created for no purpose other than maybe fanservice for some. I can understand what your on about(regards the demon/human thing),but I don't see it that way.A lion eats someone, and its still just a lion, its just doing what a lion would do.Even though its form is vastly different from a humans, its still not a monster. Tbh,I think humans are more monsters than anything else possibly could be,but then again, thats my take on the species, and you have yours. In regards to the "rape scenes keep creeping in anime series recently",there I would agree with you,but also point out that those types of scenes are generally shown more and more in mainstream media(including news, drama, movies etc etc). Anime has always had those types of scenes(Urotsukidoji for instance),but there has been a bit of a downturn over the past decade or so,and now an increase which probably makes it stand out more.I also agree that sometimes it doesn't seem to be relevant to the anime in question, but I find a lot of the time it's there for a reason(Goblin Slayers first episode for example was done with those scenes to empthasize that the goblins were utterly evil to Goblin Slayer himself mostly, and to the "good" races in general.) Maybe the scenes weren't explained well enough, maybe it was for shock value,or to downright disgust people, but I rarely find rape scenes and such are there just for the sake of it.I'm not condoning the usage of such scenes, but often the studios are putting in what they think will make the series stand out,or even become notorious for(Redo of Healer, for example) Anyways, thats it from me on this,we could go round and round over these points, but in the end,we all have our own thoughts on these, and other subjects. We all have our opinions,I respect yours,I hope you respect mine as well :) |

Morssee said: Depends on the reason for soo called degeneracy, for instance the constant sex rudys parents where having at the start had a reason, they where trying hard for a child and it was the story's way of showing it(they didn't exactly show the scenes though just auidiably), even the scene with Roxy playing with her self had a story importance down the line when you realise her past and how she has had no luck with romance and feels inadequate, Rudy played it off as just a teen getting horny without knowing the full details at the time.Starhammer said: Morssee said: firstawa said: Morssee said: I'm 100% sure that the anime would do much better without constant sexual scenes and backstories... Idk, it's something about a series having so many good things and then there is sometimes those degenerate stories created for no purpose other than maybe fanservice for some. While Elinalise issue has story importance I can see people thinking that the reason once they know can sound kind of degenerate from a story point of view but honestly thinking about it I think it was probably the easiest way for it to work given how it was placed. This is a hinted spoiler as the show hasn't confirmed it yet as it goes past even Rudys story but the link was made incredibly obvious later on. The curse was placed on her because Orsted needed a way to recover magic faster as it can take him years to recover just from spells(Her previous person before she lost memories was Laplace's lover who is Orsteds father and Orsteds importance in the story is incredibly important but his recovery is a fatal flaw, she did this by choice but the memory loss wasn't meant to happen as laplace would of dealt with it but couldn't due to the whole war 400 years ago which essentially created her current self), the magic stones she makes from the curse help Orsted recover magic, the curse used on Elinalise is actually quite complicated and will be heavily linked to Zeniths condition when you see her next, Honestly think once people understand the full scope of it they will backtrack on their thoughts of the matter, the fact the curse makes her horny was done to help her stay alive, she doesn't have any knowledge on who or why the curse was placed on her though as her memory was wiped when it happened This video explains it better: I get kinda annoyed though when people treat anything sexual as just being degenerate though, sex is the most natural thing a person can do and hiding it in a story to make it ''pure'' doesn't make sense to me, I get that the fan service typically shown in Anime can come off as degenerate as it very rarely has story or plot relevance it's there as a gag of sorts but I have no problem with it at all if it's used in a more natural way or if there is plot significance, that's if the plot is actually coherent(Cough* Redo of healer). |

Nice post n.1: Yaggamy said: Small details regarding this episode: - Rudy and Eris are getting taller with every episode. - Roxy can shorten her spell chanting. Thanks to Rudy she was inspired to learn this. - Roxy sees a woman with a child upon entering her hometown. We see this woman still pregnant in episode 9 when Rudy visited. - Roxy's parents had to learn to read and speak so that they could communicated with their child. It's quiet and no background noise in the village because only three people can speak. - Roxy and Nokopara's scene was similar to Geese and Paul's. With the message that they may never see their families again if they don't see them now. Nice post n.2: FiftyRings said: Think of it this way for a second. Forget about the whole telepathy thing and lets use a real world analogy Roxy is "deaf and mute". Her parents learned and taught her "sign language" so they could communicate with her. The village elder also knows "sign language," because he's probably the guy that will have to deal with people who can't "speak." Even her parents talk to each other without using "sign language" sometimes and Roxy can't understand them. Nobody else in the village has any need for sign language. They can speak to everyone in else just fine, and they don't really travel anywhere far away because the outside is hella dangerous. Can you not see how such a situation would make Roxy feel alienated? |

It's unnecessary imo, everytime I see a scene where she's present, I get annoyed cause I know it's gonna be some hardcore slut action.. The anime finally turned a bit serious with this season and I really like how it's going so far, the pause from serious scenes could be filled with other funny scenes, like Rudeus teasing Eris(in a Christian way, ofc). It's not funny seeing a random woman getting it from a group of monsters. It really isn't. |

Nokopara has changed his way of living by being a married father and parent, and questioning her about her family and her ability of using telepathy that's non-existent. The trip back home this time...feels different. The reason? Roxy being born without the Migurdia tribe's ability to use telepathy that the average born Migurd can do (those "clacking" sounds), Roxy feels alienated even after coming back home for a significant amount of time. Her parents are definitely pleased to see her again, but it's very obvious that the obfuscation of the telepathy ability has led her to live like an outcast during her growing-up years. But still, this is her family, and this is all she has. Getting over this burden for all her life hasn't been easy, and forgiveness is given. Ellinalise sure didn't learn her lesson from before doing her usual sexual service, and the trio they're on the road again towards the Demon Continent, with the same objective as Rudeus, Eris and Ruijerd to find their companions. The Roxy homecoming scene in the Manga was laughbly bad, basically 2 words after Roxy gets to her parents house and says Hello, Rowin her dad is telling her how she missed Rudeus like as if he can read her mind or something lmao. |

The curse and what it means to have long term stable familial relationships becomes part of her character arc.The concept of curses and blessings hasn't been discussed yet this season, but will start to get touched upon at the end of this season. They're a big facet of the story going forward. Interesting spoiler right there... |

Starhammer said: I can understand what your on about(regards the demon/human thing),but I don't see it that way.A lion eats someone, and its still just a lion, its just doing what a lion would do.Even though its form is vastly different from a humans, its still not a monster. We all have our opinions,I respect yours,I hope you respect mine as well :) Animals are far more like us than we think, but they certainly don't have the intelligence to kill humans the way demons have. They not only have a bulky beastly like body, but they have intelligence and some aggressivnes that is characteristic to demon characters. That's what makes them look like monsters to us. It's intimidating and out of the ordinary to see a 2 m bulky, wierd looking horse with a sword walking around the forest seeking to pray on the weak. I agree that humans can be monsters too. I guess that the word "monster" has taken more than one meaning in anime but that's probably because we don't have 2m bulky, wierd looking horse gangs irl, walking with a sword around the city center.. People also use the term psycho more than the word monster these days, but they are pretty much the same thing... I think that calling something a "monster" is also a thing of perception... Most humans would call demons, monsters. But once you befriend a said "monster" (if it's possible), things will change and you'll probably not even going to call them that way anymore. Or you would. Who knows, you're right, we could talk endlessly about little details like this :) |

You could skip this and the previous episode entirely and you wouldn't miss anything really. for me, the moaning and sex scenes makes mushoku tensei better hahaha maybe there are more ppl like me that like ecchi scenes, that's why mushoku tensei is so popular I expect the majority of the anime community to like this, It's just that for some people like me for example, it makes no sense. It feels like they added it for funny material but it instead comes as wierd and uncomfortable for me. I like ecchi scenes and they are sometimes funny, it's when they add rape and monsters that I draw the line... If by monsters you mean the different races of demonfolk, then they aren't monsters, they are sentient, have feelings etc etc.Though I grant they may seem a bit more aggressive or bestial than the other(more human-like)races,thats simply because the demon continent is a harsh place to live. According to humans, demons are monsters. That's what I meant. In hentai they are reffered to monsters as well. I'm not saying they're not living beings with intelligence and the hentai comparison was just an example, but usually something that doesn't have a human like form and instead has a beast/wild animal like body and is aggressive, is charcterized as a monster. The other races are too much human like, no wonder they're not seen as something else. I also didn't mean that she was getting raped, it was just a general observation since it seems that rape scenes keep creeping in anime series lately. It's not really the constant sex that Paul had with his wife to get a kid, it was the fact that he did it with the maid as well and hid it from his wife. The fact that Eris's uncle or grandpa, I forgot who he was, had sex with the maids was also kind of disgusting. The fact that the anime is portrayed in a time and age where that was still common, makes it understandable, but not less stupid. I also didn't call the other sexual scenes in the anime degenerate, I just focused on the backstory of Elina. And I didn't mean that she is a degenerate, I mean that the author made a degenerated story for her, instead of choosing something else. It doesn't justify the fact that she does it so passionately with anyone, even though you tried to explain her story, my point was that the story could've been anything else. I don't know who finds her situation funny or thinks that she's happy with it (if the author made her be happy with her situation, it's even worse) and nor do I care. I simply don't like unnecessary stories like this in anime anymore. Look, it's not about normal sex that bothers me, it's about unfaithfulness, slutty scenes, and rape that bothers me. And all 3 of them are overused in anime. Look at Demon slayer, or Boku no Hero, it has none of this and it still places higher than this series. Re:Zero or Jujutsu Kaisen also don't have any of this either. The conclusion is, that you don't need really need sexual scenes at all to make a story interesting. It actually feels too cliche. And another person was right, a reason why the anime is liked so much, is also because it has some lewd scenes in it. This is not news that you're bringing to me dw :) And my opinion about him won't change, so idk what you're trying to tell me by saying that disgusting things happen and I can't stop them... I couldn't care less if its just audible or visible or both, the very fact that it happened matters. I also don't think that I've said something about wanting to stop anything... I would be happy though if there were't as many unnecessary dark sexual scenes in anime these days. The correlation you did between ep 14 and Soros banging his maid makes no sense, that doesn't justify an old man having sex with young women for pleasure, and like I said, even if it had a reason, it doesn't make it less stupid. At least for me. Anyway, my point was that the series could work without the story of Elina being the way that it is. I thought that her story was such a hentai cliche and that authors are simply adding them as no more than plain fanservice. She does have a story of how she got like that but it it's really vague and won't be of much importance to anyone tbh since she's not a main character. Don't know if someone else agrees, it's just my opinion. |

Morssee said: You are missing the point because I'm not justifying anything I'm saying that's the flaw these people have scummy traits, they don't need to be justified. If you missed the link on episode 14 watch it again Rudy was clearly thinking of them when Gallus said it, it puts more light on how they acquired the maids in the first place.dabdabgoose said: Your missing the point, Paul is a flawed character thats why he does those things, your supposed to be conflicted with him thats what makes his character interesting and not one dimensional like most, disgusting or not, disgusting things happen things don't stop just because you don't like them they didn't even show the sex scenes usually its just audible. There is usually a reason behind why it's shown though, with Soros banging his beast girl maid can be linked to episode 14 when Rudy fights Gallus and finds out that Nobles like them are buying slaves off them and doing freaky stuff with them, on the surface you probably come to the conclusion he is a decent character only to find out with more information he is probably scum. Comparing this show to Jujisu Kaisen is pretty silly considering it's a shounen, of course they are not going to show dark stuff like this. This show is not supposed to be a Self insert, they are unique characters that have their own problems that might not be visible on the surface but you realise later on. I'm not missing the point, I'm very well aware that Paul has a flawed character, there's no reason to even say it. Almost every character in anime history has flaws.
