I had to rewind those magnificent fight scenes, it's just fucking superb, same goes for the soundtrack, it was spectacular. the final film is undoubtedly 10/10.. can't say any more about this one, it's fucking great. well fucking done. |

| I'm sad it's over. No more Heaven's Feel. No more looking forward to more Heaven's Feel. Yes it was a feast for the eyes, it goes without saying. I loved it. If there's one criticism I'd have for it, it is that the fight and dialogue between Kirei and Shirou at the end is not as powerful as the VN version of it. It's simply too short in the movie. The dialogue is cut too short. It's one of my favourite F/sn scenes, but I wouldn't say it is in these movies. |

| After watching this trilogy, as well as the original series and the spin-offs as well, I can definitely say that Fate is not for me, unfortunatly. I can only say that I've watched this movie for the animation. I mean, what was even the point of it? Random fights, random enemies, random talk no jutsu. I couldn't understand a single point of what was even going on |

| I'd probably be unbeatable in a staring contest after how I just stared at my screen for 2 hours nonstop. This movie was a masterpiece both in visuals and plot. Saber vs Rider is definitely a top 3 fight for me in all of anime, it might not have been super long but I've never been more breathless while watching a fight before. In animation alone this movie surpasses in another anime I've seen and despite not seeing that much anime I'm willing to be it's the best of ALL TIME. Easily a 10/10. |

| It's so weird. I remember being so excited for years for the Heaven's Feel movies. Now it's over. How time flies. I saw it in theaters last year but just rewatched it and wow. I guess there were some things I could nitpick but really, I couldn't have asked for more overall. So much stands out to me, but seeing the man with severe survivor's guilt finally want to live will be my favorite. |

| Waited 3 and 1/2 years to binge watch the Heaven's Feel trilogy and I was not disappointed. My review? One word: absolutely incredible (duh, one word obviously ain't enough to capture the unrivaled animation and story). |

Read through the forum and here's what it sounds like: 1) Shirou's body was destroyed but his soul remained (the shining thing in the lantern). Rin and Sakura put it into that white mannequin thing to give Shirou's soul a body. 2) In what looked like two slashes, Shirou actually sliced and killed Berserker 9 times. See the slice lines on the ground. |

God Hand is not working there, if you go back to the previous movie, he was absorbed when he was dead, the shadow is blocking God Hand along with his senses, just so it can have possession of him, therefore he only has one life. He is still Illya's servant. Also if you count, Saber Alter killed him about 10-11 times. (6-7 by Excalibur Morgan) |

He killed him only once, because if you look at his body at the end, he didn't regen his right arm and left leg, so basically it is what I said in the post above and the attacks were like this: -8 simultaneous attacks that destroy 1/8 of his body, but that's not enough damage to kill him. -1 final attack to the chest to finish him off. |

| Just finished watching the movie 4 hours ago, had to rewatch some stuff for the feels. Will keep it short for now, but come later to edit, since I could be hours praising HF route and this adaptation (despite some minor shortcomings). MY GOD, I LOVE that ending theme, if there are little things where this adaptation can be better than the VN, aside from Saber x Rider fight, that was one of them, the lyrics are just perfect to end Spring Song, it just took what the movie was about and made melody with it, really, all ending themes for the 3 movies are great, but this one might become my favorite by how so well encaptures everything I loved about HF plot. Illya's final scene was very emotional too, but I wanted them to show Irisviel and Kiritsugu BOTH hugging her at the end, also expected a scene where it was explicit that she did more than just stopping Angra Mainyu... "Using the Dress of Heaven, she materializes his soul incompletely and gives him a portion of her body as his soul's temporary container. Then she closes Gates of Heaven as a Grail." From what I recall, she did use Heaven Feel to transfer Shirou's soul, and while I was never 100% about it, I thought she was the one that transferred Shirou's soul to the doll, so I wanted something more concrete there, and anime onlies will have to search to understand, so VN explains better here, but there are also moments I do feel the anime adaptation gives more context, like one movie II when Sakura first gets killed my Gilgamesh. "Using an incomplete form of the Third Magic via the Dress of Heaven, Illya had materialized Shirou's soul into a container to save him, and he was found and rescued by Rider with Rin's pendant as a beacon. His soul was later implanted in a new body given by a famous puppet master" Guess I always had this confused, then the movie actually does a good job, Illia transfers his soul to the pendant he was carrying, the movie actually shows this, sweet. Just took me 6 years to under she transferred him to the pendant and from there he was transferred to the doll. Anyway, Illya definitely the best girl, using Heaven's Feel to save her little brother, T_T And Sakura x Shirou best ship in the franchise, been saying it for a long time, they just fit each other so well, how broken and fucked up in the aftermath of this route, one of my favorite all-time ships, for sure Shirou and Sakura are complex and more enjoyable in this route for me, but together they end up being much more memorable than separated, if the heroine wasn't Sakura, this route wouldn't have worked as well. While I don't think this is the perfect adaptation like I wanted more than 3 movies for starters, for what they were going for, this was the best I could ask for, aside from nitpicks, and really, the fanboy in me comes out winning. That conclusion nailed it as I said, that great feeling you get that makes you very cheerful after finishing something you loved and will remember fondly for your whole life (like when I finished Xenoblade 1, FF VI, or read this route, CG S2, or ReLife manga), it is a very rare feeling, I m thrilled Ufotable was able to make the route justice! Probably the best thing I have watched since Kizumonogatari III. 9.8/10 = 10 Now I just need to go and play FSN HA since it has a voice patch, which didn't when I finished HF route in 2015, need more of Sakura x Shirou and Illya and Rin~~ NandaDeNeko said: I really enjoy the storyline, but somehow it felt dissatisfied in the fight scenes, unlike in the first part of FSN Heaven's Feel Overall i really enjoyed the other side of Sakura's story This needs to be addressed, I will agree partially. Saber vs Rider is the major highlight, and much better than in the VN, I have no complaints with Priest vs Shirou, it was not meant to be a flashy fight, though it could have been a bit gorier and impactful (I would look to Gurren Laggan ep27 final fight, as akin to something they could have improved slightly), Shirou x Berserker, again, if you judge from the VN, it was great, but considering how Ufotable improved Saber x Rider, and that they did the OP for HF route on Realta Nua, showing Berserker vs Shirou, I also wanted something a bit more flashy there, but I enjoyed a lot what we have, but understand your point very well. Saber x Rider surpassed the highlight from movie II, this was more a battle of speed and it showed, besides you cant beat that duo of Rider and Shirou... that said, would have been nice to seen an alternative bonus scene, where they adapt Shirou not being able to kill Saber there. |
